Alrighty........
Here is the challenge I want to make a PVP Resistance based SR scrapper say with mmmmm......spines...no wait claws and I want it made for me and I want it paid for by the scrapper forum donations.
I like want NO or minimum attacks because I'm a bit strange, and I want all the travel powers because I like the freedom it provides.
If you fail on any part of this I will call you all names and refuse to look at this thread again.
I think that about covers it.....no wait I want to be able to farm 54 bosses.
So sort it out ...... now
/end sarcasm. -
This thread is all good and well but isn't SC in for a nerf dropping its Damage by half to three feet then to 1/5 for the remaining area. Wont this change the farming equation back in the favor or the other builds ?
-
Thanks to everyone for the great advice, the scrapper boards are very helpful. One final question I noticed in your final build Santorican that grant cover was your final pic and its slotted with a end redux. I gather its not worth looking at a shield defense + 3 res at the cost of .2 end ?
EDIT : Didn't read that last post, is shield charge up for the dreaded nerf bat or speculation ? -
The builds are very impressive. I notice you left the Fire epic behind doesn't the lack of AE or should I say the wait on recharge hurt the toon. Or is the additional regen and end too important???
How does the toon go in larger spawns without the additional area attacks ?? -
I do the Freaklympics (solo) in about a one hour and ten minutes (using fly as a travel power with no base portal). I get 34 merits using a 42 dark sd scrapper. I find the map changes can vary my times by about 10 minutes depending on how easily I find bombs and the bosses. I dont fight in the defuse bomb missions I just rely on my defence to hold up to get the clickies.
Edit : Ref the 5th column overthrow running If you solo run av's instead of eb's it takes forever I think the last fight alone took around 15 minutes -
Hi to everyone, let me start by saying that I dont post often I am a player that likes to create my toons 95% solo then fiddle with them once I level them out. I find the boards very informative and entertaining. I tend to search the boards and usually the information I am after is posted hence the little posting.
I know this is the scrapper boards and this topic isnt strictly scrapper in nature but I like the people that post here and I find the combination of number crunchers and toon builders on the scrapper forums the best at what they do.
Central post announcement (I will relate this to scrappers .........eventually).
So now to the point of this ramble I would like to know how many level 50 toons people have deleted (if any). I get toons to 50 then lose the way with them Im not sure why and I would love to hear if other people delete of just shelve toons.
I made a 50 bots bubbles, my first delete, and the only one I regret. Then I got rid of a 50 ice rad corrupter, then I booted a 50 em ela brute and now Im about to get rid of my 4th toon.
Its a scrapper, I know, I know, blasphemy but I am so disappointed in it compared to other builds I have. Its a spines regen scrapper (see the clever tie in with my favorite boards).
Love to hear what other people think. -
Tried a little playing around with one of the builds managed to get the defense up a bit and add a recharge to Conserve

Love the thread some very funny stories.
I made a em/ela brute for soloing AV,s some time ago. I think he was about 43ish give or take. So I'm wandering the streets hunting bosses when I get a team invite something about help with a EB. I cant recall the enemy, I get to the map its a team of 6 including me. The leader starts to brief me on the tactics etc. The EB was in another room out of site.
Perhaps I was a little arrogant but I said just give me 30 seconds then follow. I leap in perma stun him and destroy him under the thirty seconds. Mean while I have the rest of the team giving me warnings like. He is hard to hit, he has a massive attack.
So I don't even bother to kill his minions and complete the mission I just send a "later guys" and hit the orb portal and exit team as he dies.
Team -
Well done on beating Infernal I fought him with my EM Ele brute and I recall it took several attempts, and in the end I think I used a couple of insps. I think I was Lev 48 at the time, I do recall that I was glad to see the back of him only to fight him again and his mother in the next mission.

Assault Bot: I die first
Protects : I dont heal : What is heal
Bots : I get lost : I get stuck : I hang back
I didn't have to think of names they sort of named them selves. -
Very nice guide
I personally avoided personal attacks and focused on bot support. I have the leader ship pool and I swear by it. I have never bothered with stealth and I actually Taunt to pull enemy's off my bots. Taunt is pretty much on auto.
Edit : I should point out that my build is all SO's I haven't bothered over slotting because I don't PVP (this toon) and as we all know PVE with a traps bots isn't very challenging. -
Build seems good, I ran with dual travel powers for a long time then I swapped out sj and have never looked back. The build works well with both but I found I wanted a couple more powers such as phase because my build was always going to PVP in RV and when trying to pick of teams members I found an escape such as phase invaluable.
-
Well Ive been away for 8 months or so but I fell straight back into my EM / Nin just like I never left.
On a side note not much seems to have changed since I left other than the very obvious lack of people playing the game. : ( -
This may not help much but I had to completely change my build several times when i13 came out.
I messed with powers I wouldnt have dreamed of touching prior to the release and I found a balance.
I think most toons can work well (all mine adapted).
It just takes time and practice to come around to the changes.
To be honest I have played so much under i 13 I would no longer welcome a roll back.
My pet hate is people that are killed and then complain. I dont gank players as a rule but if they bleet after a fair kill its a red flag to a bull.
And when I get killed even if its a team gank and im not happy about it, I always try and send a comment like "nice" or "good ambush" I find this goes a long way to stopping trash talk.
Most people dont trash talk some one they killed who lets them know it was a good fight and it works both ways.
A simple "good fight" or "great defence" to a defeated foe usually works wonders.
I have used this several times and most trash talkers have changed their perception on the spot.
Hope this helps -
Once again I find myself here, I just tested this again to confirm it in my own mind.
If I drop caltrops then placate a creature in or that steps on them they agro and attack. When they are placated and I am hidden.
This wasnt really though out very well. I was hit from behind by a partol that stumbled on my Caltrops after I finished a battle and hide was activated.
I placated them as well and was attacked anyway.
I tested this three times and the same result placate sucks in this instance. -
Well two points about this bug from a pve perspective, dont even get me started on pvp.
1. I have a vid of me fighting Miss Liberty the fight goes for about 4 minutes and I placate her a couple of times and she continued to attack me as normal with no effects on her unless the stuns and disorients that did not work count.
2. I know this wont get any sympathy but caltrops could be so much better if I could placate after I have dropped out of hide once already using it, alas its not to be, it goes something like this; I use it/ drop hide/ placate/drop hide/get dead. Isnt that double jeopardy.
So now I have to throw blinding powder or cop a hit and try to get a stun into the mix just to get off a A/S
I mean really here we are asking for a power that has been nerfed already, to simply do its job nothing more.
I fight in RV, and when a ice tank (now with IO's not able to be killed) doing 500 damage attacks through my placate its a joke. Half my /nin powers are effected by this rubbish.
This may not be high on the to do list and if it were a pvp issue only I could understand it but stalkers arent real flash in pve as it is this would go a long way to helping that issue.
I will even say pretty please. . . . MAN that taste awful -
How do the Tanks get plus perception is it a epic power. I had a tank stalking me in RV while I was running hide/stealth and he had a good range on me I had to TP out of view all together to avoid him. He was on for about 6 hours and he saw me every time no problems. Sadly I have come to the conclusion that a tank that can take out my heavy robot then me is too much to chew. Wish I had some thing to counter him but its not in my power options lol.

LOL this thread is so true I hit warburg for the first time with my 30ish stalker and as soon as I found one of those purp robots I was like man I go to get me one of those. Who cares about debt I just have to try. But I might be a bit on the slow side because I AS'ed deathsurge and ghost of the scrapyard. Then the whole thought process of "man he is only 6 levels above me how hard can the underboss be".

Hi guys / gals has any one noticed the damage change to pve now with the i 7. I seem to have issues with the amount of damage I am doing and accuracy. My friend was complaining to me in a mish yesterday about his damage and I started to notice this myself. I am finding with longbow orange and red that I am not taking them down the same as before the change. Any one else noticing this.
