I've deleted hundreds of characters, including a 50 (but several in the 40s). If they aren't fun or they're unsatisfactory at some level, I don't see any point in keeping them. Rolling alts and leveling is pretty easy.
I don't have more than 20 characters, a number of them just place holders. My active stable of characters I actually play is maybe 12. But I've played every AT with the exception of Kheldians and MMs to the 40s, most to 50.
Spines/Regen used to be a great character combination, used to be more in vogue when PvP rules were different. It can be made stronger but will honestly fall behind the power level of many other scrapper types including other spines characters. I say this as an owner of a level 50 spines/regen character which is moderately IO'ed (rare IO sets and HOs, no purples).
I've never deleted a level 50. I could use more character slots beyond the 36 per server.

I am a notorious Character delete-er, but not for the reasons you have detailed.
The first thing I seek on a new character is a decent name. Often I will level that name using one set combination and decide its not exactly what I wanted and then delete and start again. The highest level I have deleted is a level 47 character. After that I have deleted 2-3 in the 35-38 range, and countless characters in the 22-28 range.
So, level 50, nope.
If I get someone to 50 then they probably passed every test needed to be a keeper.

I've thought about deleting and remaking my first and only 50. She's a MA/Inv and I just don't like playing her compared to my other toons.
I've deleted two spines. I just can't get into spines, but I've never even gotten to Quills. So I'm not the best judge.
Keep the stuff you like. Make marketers of the stuff you don't.
I've never deleted a 50. But I'd consider it if I really didn't like the character and really wanted the space. I just don't have any 50s that I actively dislike, and I don't need the space.

Deleted a lot in the 20's after that I just retire them some I like but I have a few and I am about to have another not enough time to play them so I retire them.
My DM/DA and Spines/da retired they just sit there I have moved toons I may one day go back to katana/reg 26 moved to another server I have a lvl 31 like rad/dark defender sitting on a server. I have a fire/reg at 35 I may finish one day
The 50's I never delete but I do not have 36 slots filled or anything like that

Hi to everyone, let me start by saying that I dont post often I am a player that likes to create my toons 95% solo then fiddle with them once I level them out. I find the boards very informative and entertaining. I tend to search the boards and usually the information I am after is posted hence the little posting.
I know this is the scrapper boards and this topic isnt strictly scrapper in nature but I like the people that post here and I find the combination of number crunchers and toon builders on the scrapper forums the best at what they do.

So now to the point of this ramble I would like to know how many level 50 toons people have deleted (if any). I get toons to 50 then lose the way with them Im not sure why and I would love to hear if other people delete of just shelve toons.
I made a 50 bots bubbles, my first delete, and the only one I regret. Then I got rid of a 50 ice rad corrupter, then I booted a 50 em ela brute and now Im about to get rid of my 4th toon.
Its a scrapper, I know, I know, blasphemy but I am so disappointed in it compared to other builds I have. Its a spines regen scrapper (see the clever tie in with my favorite boards).
Love to hear what other people think.
