The Save feature in the Tailors is nice and all, but what I'd really like is a Closet.
A Closet would be a personal Save area for each character. This Closet could be accessible in various areas like Tailors, Pocket D, the Vanguard base and even in SG Bases.
The Closet would store saved costumes for individual characters, instead of all characters in one area like the current Save feature does.
Changing to a costume stored in the closet would incur no cost. There would be no Tailor fees as the costume will have already been paid for and simply stored for later use.
To store a costume in the Closet you would simply open the Closet (which would show your costume slots the same way the Tailor does), choose the costume slot you wish to save and click Save.
To change a costume in the Closet you would simply open the Closet, choose the costume slot you wish to change, choose the costume you wish to change to and click Change.
You would be able to store several different costumes in the Closet, much more than could ever be logically given as slots but not as many as you can save at the Tailor.
The main reason I have thought of a feature like this over the years is for those seasonal and event costumes we all like to make but don't necessarily want to take up a permanent costume slot on our characters and because we don't like having to pay every time we want to switch to a costume we already made.
Need a tuxedo for that Wedding or Anniversary event some players planned? Just go to your Closet and put it on.
Want to celebrate Christmas and the Winter Event in your Santa or Elf duds? Just go to your Closet and there you go.
Want to pop on your favorite Halloween costume for Trick or Treating or going to that costume party in Pocket D? To the Closet again.
I think this would be a great addition and would make requests for more costume slots fade away, since if you could save a number of different costumes this way and could easily change them without having to pay more influence every single time, you wouldn't really need more costume slots than we already have.
Edit: Okay there's nothing about the Chronicles of Narnia here, but it got your attention now didn't it?
What do you think?

I always write down my powers and slotting before doing a respec and I mark what I want to drop and what I want to pick up and where i want to move slots and remove others.
I agree it could be easier, but with a little bit of planning and organization it really isn't necessary.
/signed anyway for those who are too lazy and disorganized to bother making plans for their respecs.

Get on a missions team or do your missions solo.
The missions will be placed in areas where you should be able to travel safely and street sweep on your way to and from. If you are running into purples you have run way out of the area you are supposed to be. Neither Kalinda nor Burke would have given you a mission near anything purple.
Redside is actually much easier to level than blueside. It just doesn't have all of the lame short cuts that people use.
If you are desperate for a way to not bother playing through the actual story at all go to the MA and beg beg beg, or shout out for a Bank farm.
Seriously though, have you ever done redside missions? It appears not if you are here asking this. Try actually playing through the low level content once before skipping past everything, man. The redside has very fast paced and well written arcs in the early levels. It's not like the generic stories you get in early levels on blueside at all.

That would defeat the purpose of having to earn them.

[/ QUOTE ]Nonsense. The Cyborg auras are only unlocked at lv1 because they're paid for, just like the Valkyrie cape. Adding the normal auras to the combat auras list would mean you can have any of the auras as a combat aura once you unlock auras at 30
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually when the Combat Auras are unlocked at level one the whole category is unlocked. This is a category the same as Flaming Aura or Rocky Crumble. I don't believe they could add categories into that category and just leave it at that as they would by default all be available to Cyborg Pack owners.
In order to do this they would need to add a second Combat Aura category or add the Combat selection to the other categories. I would think the latter would be easiest to do.
It would be a nice addition.

/k or /kick kicks a player from team
/team_kick_internal kicks player without warning
[/ QUOTE ]
even if they are "offline"?
edit: nope doesn't work when they are offline
[/ QUOTE ] It has worked for me plenty of times while they are offline. All I did was scroll up the chat to find their name somewhere and copy/paste it after "/kick ".
The dialog comes up asking me if I really want to kick them from the team.. they wont be able to rejoin.. blah blah, and I press yes. The spawns seem to adjust to the new team size just fine.
I admit there have been a few times when it didn't work. We've finished the mission and saw a kicked player outside the door or talking in broadcast later on.. which means it worked. But there have been a few times when a kicked player signs back in, and they are still on the team. It's not that hard to quickly kick them again though. I can't explain what's different about any two occurances to make it work or not work.
[/ QUOTE ]
So either it was a bug when it worked for you or a bug when it didn't. I think it'd be a nice QoL feature to look into but I know it didn't work well for me.
It would say the person was kicked when they really weren't, happened on a treespec I ran once.
Also, this can easily be tested. I'll report the results later tonight unless someone does it before I get off of work.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you can afford to wait thirty minutes (the time it takes for a server to reset an account's settings to default) you should be able to use the command sited above to kick offline players from the team.
This should work even if the player really disconnected as after that amount of time the server will check the account status and reset if it finds the account inactive.

Sorry to break it to you, but this is Power Customization fodder. We don't need another set to do Energy Blasts. We need to be able to tell the game where those Energy Blasts come from (Hands, Wands, Chest, Eyes, etc.). Unfortunately that's still a ways down the road if it's possible at all.
I wouldn't hold my breath.
-
I always do the first mission or two (Creed requires doing two while Mongoose only requires one) for the second Mercy contact to open their arc. Then I can go back anytime later to finish it up.

The vacuum effect from the oxygen being burnt off?

Then how does it not suck the baddies toward him in the first place? Yeah, because Fiery Auras don't cause a vacuum.

Psionically willing people to stay closer to you?
[/ QUOTE ]
You can't will away physics and Willpower is not psionic based unless you yourself define it that way.
No alteration is necessary. It's a bad idea all the way around. People need to stop being lazy and impersonal and actively teach other players how to play properly instead of expecting everything to be easy enough for Forest Gump to use.

Maybe make the -kb part of the aura powers? That way, only things that are already close to the tanker don't get knocked away.
[/ QUOTE ]
Even that way it doesn't make sense. How does a fiery aura stop someone from getting knocked back by an explosion? How does Willpower do that?
Controller powers stopping Knockback makes sense. Having a bubble of space around a tanker where KB doesn't affect anything will never make sense (except in the case of Mud Pots for a Stone tank, that would make sense).
Yes, this is a game and it is based on comic books, but everything in comic books is written with a little thing called "comic book physics" in mind. In that yes, a man can shoot fire from his hands, but fire will continue to act like fire.

Doesn't sound like a plan.
I use my KB powers as intended and do perfectly fine on teams.
Players shouldn't be able nerf other players that use KB as their support for a team.
[/ QUOTE ]
Look at it like this: your KB is "nerfing" what my melee people can do on a team.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not my melee toons.
Really, even when I'm on a Tank trying to herd a group, someone knocking a few of them off of me isn't that crucial. I can move. I don't have to stand in the same spot. And I don't have as much trouble toggling on Sprint to catch a runner either. And while I am doing all of this I can chat with the KB user and explain the better ways of using it.
Really, if everyone did the same there would be no problem. Or is that too difficult?
Taunt having -KB? Plan = Nonsensical and unnecessary.

Seeing how this was a box edition that was meant to give shelf presence to attract new customers whom would not have the other boxes, maps, etc., I think that the Architect Edition was just fine.
I was not an expansion that was meant to be purchased by current players.
The fact that it's missing all the glamorous glitz and bells and whistles shows how hard they were working on the actual product itself, instead of the packaging it comes in.

On the same line, I can't find a list in the wiki of the Arachnos bases that actually give the Arachnos Agent badge. Right now the only one I know of is in Mercy. Is that info on the wiki somewhere that isn't linked?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's any Arachnos area that has non-hostile Arachnos in it.
Fort Darwin is one. The building behind Arbiter Richard is another. The building with the Science and Tech store in Cap Au, near Marshall Brass. The mini-fort where the Arbiter in Sharkhead and the Science and Tech stores are and the area around the Black Helicopter and Science store in the Double Down in St. Martial.

Besides not making any kind of sense from a physics viewpoint (how does your growling at these guys stop the wind from blowing them away?), I don't think we need to stop KB. When used properly KB can be a very useful mitigation and clumping tool (try KBing some baddies into a corner sometime). The only problem is people that don't know how to use it.
My suggestion is to (instead of removing the effect or suppressing it or whatever else) teach the players that don't know how to use it how to use it properly. Explain calmly. Don't call them newbs or stupid. Don't get all bent out of shape. Be polite and to the point and explain how the misuse of KB affects you and the team and give them pointers on how to use it more effectively.
You'd be surprised how fast many people can learn when you talk to them like mature intelligent individuals.
-
Personally, I don't get why you would switch to Virtue and never use the slots that are left on Victory.
I play on every single server and have all of my available slots filled. What do I do when I come up with a new concept for a character? I buy some more slots and then divide them among my chosen servers.
I'm a server hopper. I simply cannot fathom why anyone would want to restrict themselves to one or two servers and I totally don't get why you'd leave empty slots empty, even if they are on a server you may not play as often any more.

You might want to clarify what bugs you are talking about that have been around for 4 1/2 years and how fixing them might be more important than creating new content.

I've noticed sometimes people say this kind of thing purely based on the powersets chosen.
I've gotten nice build compliments on characters with no travel powers who use only Fitness and Fighting for power pools and have purposely skipped very popular powers. I really wouldn't consider these my best builds since they are built for concept, not power. And yet they get compliments from time to time.
