An improvement to auras
OTOH, if there was some way to add "trigger when combat power is activated" to the current auras as an effect like "Body Sparkles Light", that would be kinda nice.
You would still have to earn the aura (and not be able to buy it with the Cyborg Pack), but still get the same effect of only having an aura while in combat.

What Whisper said.
Personally I'd -prefer- that. So if I've got a fire blaster at level 30 I can show she's gone from 'Normal and Talkative' to 'Eyes on Fire ready for combat" without having two costumes taken up.

No. I still want them to be unlocked with the level 30 mission. Just gives you some more aura options at that point.
How cool would it be to have your controller/corruptor start glowing at the start of combat? Or the electricity aura trigger when you first set off a blast? etc.

I see. I thought you wanted them at level 1. I withdraw my objection.
Since we're talking about aura's, I'd love an intensity slider, anything other than the first column in the colour palette ends up being to danged bright. I like subtle.
yeah it always bothered me that intensity is dependant on colour (note my usage of u's). Lots of times I want a black aura...but what I always end up with is a very low intensity grey aura. Black should be black opposed to semi-opacity white. And the inverse for white auras, they are like BLAM! have you ever seen white flame aura...it looks like all of the fire in paragon decided to have a rave dance party on your chest...it is rediculously too busy.
Since we are talking about auras I would like to see some new stuff added as well. Like a dripping aura aura that could be used as water, tar, blood, etc.
Body drip: Minor drips would fall from your body similar to how rock crumble works. Maybe you are a Ice tank, or Ice blaster, and sometimes your ice melts a little, so you have water dripping. You could be a warrior with body injuries and a minor amount of blood drips from your battle wounds here and there. Maybe you are some kind of toxic waste mutant and a green drip of toxic goo drips off of you occasionally.
Eyes Drip: Black eye drip might be from running mascara...maybe you are possesed by a demon and it causes your eyes to bleed black demon blood. Red drips for like when a vampire cries, or you are becomming a zombie and it makes your eyes bleed (again subtle not super gore projectiles). White or transparent blue drips could be normal tears, etc.
Fist drip; Same as above could apply, black drips could be tar, demon blood, ink, paint, etc. Red could be blood, paint, etc.
I dunno if people would like it, or if it would be abused, but it would be nice if a Mad Surgeon had hands covered in blood, a bikini babe dripping with pool water, or a basebal player covered in gatorade.

I find it funny that you were adamant about the spelling of Color (Colour being the spelling in England and most of Europe while Americans spell it sans U) yet you ignored the spelling of Ridiculous and instead spelled it Rediculous. You also skipped over Capitalization of your first letter in the first sentence.

lol I am not the best typist when there is no spellcheck obviously. Thank you for pointing out the obvious shortcommings of others. :P Perhaps you could laugh at us for saying excuse me, or pardon me, when we do not fart or burp. Hehe JK. I put the U in there because of my love for Eddie Izzard.
Anyways, how about this dripping aura? Any comments, praise, or disagreements?

Signed x1000. Until I can do this, I really have no use for 90% of the auras.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
I also would like to know why you pointed out your own spelling inconsitities.

The dripping thing, while an interesting idea and possible visual effect, would be difficult. One of the reasons why the auras are fuzzy (even rocky crumble is pretty vague and just shows rocks falling out of you), is because they have to work with all models (re: all 3 body types through all of the various costume pieces and body scale manipulations). To make a truly believable and interesting "falling liquid" effect, it would need to cascade off of the outside of the target. Considering the variability in the size of appendages and other body parts (re: large gloves v. no gloves), the aura would either be invisible because it's inside the large glove or would either appear to hover off of the normal sized arm or appear as a large, solid globule.

I believe there's a rule that states: "Any written response pointing out or discussing the spelling and/or grammatical mistakes of others is doomed to include at least one spelling or grammatical mistake of its own."
Also, reading aloud the word I put in bold makes me giggle.

[/ QUOTE ]Black is 0x000000, White is 0xFFFFFF. Auras are additive.
Essentially, the appearance of a pixel for the aura is X (the color the pixel should be) + Y (the color of the aura), capped at 0xFFFFFF. X+0x000000 = X. X+0xFFFFFF = 0xFFFFFF. A pure black aura is translucent, and a pure white aura is solid. (The process is a little bit more complicated than that, but it's the gist of the situation)
The alternative would be to make auras multiplicative, but that would just reverse the transparency problem (black would be solid and white would be translucent)

Actually when the Combat Auras are unlocked at level one the whole category is unlocked. This is a category the same as Flaming Aura or Rocky Crumble. I don't believe they could add categories into that category and just leave it at that as they would by default all be available to Cyborg Pack owners.
In order to do this they would need to add a second Combat Aura category or add the Combat selection to the other categories. I would think the latter would be easiest to do.
It would be a nice addition.

As mentioned, we can already see this working with capes: the Valkyrie and High collar capes are both available, but none other until you unlock them at 20.
Oh come on, my speeling wasnt taht bad! LOL, I have seen much worse, and I am certain that you have as well. I didn't point it out to begin with, Steampunkette did. I have no clue why, I just responded because I felt obligated to defend myself.
Anyroad, I do not know how the auras work very well, this is obviously true. But I do know a little bit about pixels, hexidecimal values, and color in general. Whatever the system is that they are using should be modified or changed. It would be nice to have an intensity slider as Angel_Red said. And if we have an intensity slider that changes opacity then we should be able to have fully opaque white and black as well as translucent white and black. I am sure this would be very difficult, because it seems that everything I want in this game is difficult. But it is something that should be done eventually (no rush). With all of the different programs we have for special effects, 3D modeling, and motion graphics, I am sure somewhere, someone has a way of making this happen.

All of the current auras should also be added to the combat aura selection.
That way, you could have a character that looks "normal" until they activate their powers.
