I remember Hami raids going like this:
I'm somewhere else doing my thing.
Incoming /tell from my brother: "Hold phase is on, come get me another HO."
I'd beeline to the hive just in time for attack phase, get the HO, give it to my brother and go back to doing my thing.
Nowadays I have zero reason to encounter Hami at all beyond his weakened version in the LGTF. -

I don't charge for this and, so far, have earned the healing badges for 22 SG's.
That's a lotta healin. -
Hi, there.
Yes, straight copy works. Follow the instructions from here:

I concur with Aett. He should be immortalized for what he was:
An old man that did what was necessary when he was called upon to do so. That's considerably more awe-inspiring to me than yet another "look at me in my prime" statue. -
I seriously doubt that we'd be given a dual pistols APP.
If we did, I'd build a MA/WP scrapper around it.
Edit: je_saint, that article you're linking to is some of the most ignorant spew I've ever read. And that's coming from a sysadmin that hates every OS out there these days. -
Changing my warshade's color tint from black/purple to black/red after he goes villain side? That's a great idea.

There was one tiny bit that annoyed the hell out of me.
Kirk and Scotty beaming back on board the Enterprise.
Let me get this straight:
Enterprise jettisons Kirk. He gets out of pod. Travels 14 miles to outpost... walking. 3 mph is the average walking speed. 4-5 hours to get there.
The Enterprise has been traveling away from the Vulcan solar system at Warp whatever (faster than light) for 4 to 5 hours.
This implies that the transporter used can disintegrate/reintegrate particles instantaneously across any distance of spacetime with enough accuracy to drop a couple guys into a engineering bay.
If that was the case, why bother with spaceships? Ever?
EDIT: Not to also mention the fact that they're able to do so but unable to lock on to a body falling at a measly 56 m/s? Whut? -
Awesome job, Nihilii. I happily admit my jealousy at your achievement. Well farkin played.

Watched it for the first time last night. I enjoyed it. A lot. Continuity be damned. Looking forward to any sequels.

Quote:In the DPS results threads in the scrapper forum, I pegged MA at 165 DPS on a high recharge build doing Storm Kick/Crane Kick/Storm Kick/Crippling Axe Kick. That didn't include any damage procs which would push the DPS higher.
What's the best dps this set can do?
That should be enough for soloing a great many AVs. -
Quote:In the case of FA:Wait....Give my Fire/SS a god-mode power, then nerf it and buff the set? Why not just leave me with a rez and buff the set?
Burn would be replaced with a straight PBAoE attack like a mini-nova without the endurance slam side effect, probably balanced around the current PPP AoEs for its level of damage. A zero range fireball.
Temp protection would be yanked completely replaced with RoTP.
New tier9 would be more along the lines of one with the shield and strength of will.
This will allow the primary dam-res toggles to be buffed while retaining the damage aligned feel of the set. -
Fiery Aura and Dark Armor: No self rezzes as tier 9s. Give them a real tier 9.
Nerf all tier9 powers to buff the rest of the set's powers. -
Neutral. There's a preference toward chaos, but I understand the need for law. That'd be me the player.
Bill Z Bubba was lawful evil like all devils, but shifted to chaotic evil when he came to Paragon. -
Hit the billionaire mark on my main villain last night. Pretty easy to do when someone hands you the inf for nothing.
-
The proper amount of recovery is that which allows you to run your single target attack chain indefinitely without ever running dry.
I have that now on my main. He's the only character I have that has that. He's the only one that needs it. He's the only one that I count on for soloing AVs and pylons.
For a *normal* player, if you have enough recovery to take out a spawn of X size and recover on the way to the next, that's probably enough. -
"Must find more bodies. More bodies mean more fluffies. More fluffies mean more bodies. More bodies mean higher damage resistance. More damage resistance means more bodies. More bodies mean more fuel. More fuel means more bodies."
It is a vicious circle of madness. -
You are most welcome. Enjoy the blender of joy that is claws/sr.

Negative. Typed defense doesn't stack with positional. As an SR scrapper, the only typed defense that will do you any good is psi since there are several psi attacks that lack a positional component. So if you had 30% ranged and 15% fire and someone lobbed a fire blast at you, you'd have 30% defense toward it as the game grabs the highest appropriate value and uses that.
So when looking at SetIO bonuses, go for the ones that give defense to melee, range, aoe first, and if you have some space left over, maybe some psi defense or damage resistance.
For me, I focused on soft cap defense first (that 45% is called the soft cap) and after that hitpoints, regen, some s/l dam-res to stack on tough and the passive scaling dam-res and the rest usually comes bundled. -
-
With nothing but SR and SOs, you're looking at around 30-32% defense to melee, range and aoe. On top of that you get the passive scaling dam-res to help slow incoming damage once you start dipping into near death land.
It also means that 1 in 5 hits is landing, and that's a lot. When you start tacking on pool defense (combat jumping or hover, weave or maneuvers) things start looking up.
SR + CJ + Weave all fully slotted gets you up around 40%. Now only 1 in 10 hits are landing.
That's when fighting even level minions, of course.
Like all defense sets, it's going to suck until level 22 and SOs. That's when you'll realize that yes, you do have a secondary doing something.
It's when you hit the magic 45% defense to all positions that SR starts to really shine. -
I honestly be surprised if that hadn't already been done.
-
Let's not forget adding brute sr evasion's taunt aura to scrapper sr evasion.
-
Piecing together without hunting down posts, at herocon they aid get it done! And then they realized just how much work would be involved with animations and tossed the idea.

That's the long an painful way to set up the test server. My way saves a lot of time.
