A very nice organized list! Thank you for that.

One command I didn't see in your list though was this.

    vis_scale - Controls world detail 1.0=default (valid values .5 - 4)

What surprising responses. Blame the homosexuals. From the first quote it is just as likely that the friend started the fracas. Since we have no way of knowing for certain what was said by whom, how about trying for a non-biased response such as the one that Doctor_Roswell gave.

If so, why is there a difference when they are effectually the same?
Another way of describing the difference is with this analogy.

Not all Dogs are German Shepherds.
    All German Shepherds are dogs.

    Similarily..

Not all Untouchable effects are Intangible/Cage.
    All Intangible/Cage effects are Untouchable.

So, why? Aside from power variety and other reasons, Intangible effects tend to affect large groups while Cage effects only affect one target.

    So quoted for truth.

Noyjitat, you really have little idea how to interpret a Traceroute yet you start a 'FIX THE SERVERS NAO!' thread.

Read through this following link to get an idea of just how much you are missing.

Those types of drivers are usually on the Motherboard cd along with update software to find more current drivers.

If you don't have a cd, and you plug into the motherboard for your ethernet, then download CohHelper from the link in my sig. That program's output will give you the motherboard info you need.

If you plug into a card plugged into your motherboard then you'll need to provide more info on that.

    Absolutely, positively /unsigned.

I want full control over who I do or do not buff. I usually only buff the main Tanker, and only buff the entire team under certain circumstances. IMO, the changes proposed here would make those sets far more annoying to play.

Most? If by most you mean the subsection of players that insist on taking all possible toggle power before getting Stamina, or the ones that refuse to slot end reduction enhancements, then I'll agree.

Villains have some decent low-level arcs, while heroes are generally forced to slog through the "old stuff" (arcs full of useless filler defeat-all and delivery missions spanning multiple large zones, often before they have a decent travel power).
Any character that wants a SJ equivalent travel power can get the temp zero-g pack at level 10. Personally, I find some of the "old stuff" to be just as fun time and time again. Especially the Faultline arcs.

    2. My characters are built to run several toggles and always being doing something, whether that is buffing, healing, or dealing damage. Even with fully-slotted Stamina I need expensive set IO bonuses to keep from having to pack along blues.
*ahem* Then that means your playstyle is the reason for your endurance issues, not the pre-stamina or pre-SO game mechanics. You remind me of someone I team with regularily that is frequently out of endurance because they insisted on activating their powers as fast as possible instead of balancing their contributions with the rest of the team members.

To be clear, there is nothing wrong with you choosing a certain play style. However, it is wrong for you to place the blame solely on the game, while taking no responsibility for the impact your own actions.

    Cute video.

Except the character doing the run is lvl 35 or higher (if I've done my con math properly).
  11. 1. Guardian - Around 90% of my play is here. I have 30 some characters (all heroes). I have 3 SG's of my own, and share another SG with friends that also live in SF.

    2. Freedom - Only villains. I have maybe 10 characters there and only because a very fun and competent bunch have their SG there. Hurricane Legion.

    3. Triumph - Only heroes. Where Hurricane Legion has their hero version SG.

From an RP standpoint, I'm all for it.

However since the Devs have said they would not add AT and power set respec ability, I'd be surprised if they added the ability to change origin.

Note that the entire critter name doesn't need to be used. I usually just type in the first 5 letters or so.

I have found that respecs will fail if I'm out in the open and a Rikti/Zombie/etc invasion starts.

When I do respecs indoors or in a SG base, I haven't had that happen.

Just to clarify this, uncommon and Rare salvage from all tiers can be purchased with tickets starting at character Level 10.
  19. IMO, the salvage pages need to be revamped a bit. I've been contemplating adding the following, though not sure how well such a change would be received.

Here is a more precise drop-level breakdown.

NPC lvl 4-19: Tier 1 only.
    NPC lvl 20-25: Tier 1 or 2.
NPC lvl 26-34: Tier 2 only.
    NPC lvl 35-39: Tier 2 or 3.
NPC lvl 40-54: Tier 3 only.

After white salvage Consignment prices went crazy, I started stockpiling it in a separate SG base, and I organized bin clusters based on the Tiers. The following is the breakdown list of all white salvage that I use so I know what levels to keep certain characters at to earn certain salvage.

    Here are the Tiers.

    Tier 1

    Ancient Artifact
    Boresight
    Brass
    Clockwork Winder
    Computer Virus
    Human Blood Sample
    Inanimate Carbon Rod
    Luck Charm
    Runebound Armour
    Simple Chemical
    Spell Scroll
    Spiritual Essence

    Tier 2

    Alchemical Silver
    Ancient Bone
    Circuit Board
    Demonic Blood Sample
    Improvised Cybernetic
    Inert Gas
    Iron
    Masterwork Weapon
    Rune
    Scientific Theory
    Spell Ink
    Stabilized Mutant Genome

    Tier 3

    Ceramic Armor
    Demonic Threat Report
    Fortune
    Hydraulic Piston
    Kinetic Weapon
    Mathematic Proof
    Nevermelting Ice
    Regenerating Flesh
    Ruby
    Silver
    Spirit Thorn
    Temporal Analyzer

The 'trend' is that too many players using AE only want easy Experience/rewards. The Fire/Kin is either at the top or close to the top of the list for preferred/effective farming AT's.

As for the 50 tank, that takes a little more guesswork but here are some possibilities.
    1. They would have all the possible powers/slots available.
    2. They might have slotted Purple sets.
    3. IMO, the most likely reason is this. With farm maps that spawn lvl 54's, the team has a better chance of staying alive (and keeping the tank alive) if said aggro magnet is lvl 50. Especially considering that a natural sk could only be as high as lvl 49 and an auto-SKd tank would be even less.
  23. Okay, let's 'start over' so to speak. Post the results of CohHelper and HijackThis. Links are in my signature.

That statement alone shows you are rather lacking in PC knowledge. Granted you are knowledgeable about Macs, but you really had no business making a "Windows 7 Not Ready!" thread in the first place.

I encourage anyone who wants more information about Windows 7 to visit the following thread.
