This may sound stupid, but I did a reinstall of Windows and for some reason I can't get my ethernet adapter working. I thought I had all the drivers saved etc. but it's nowhere to be found. Is there a way to I.D. what kind of adapter I have and download it from the internet?

Those types of drivers are usually on the Motherboard cd along with update software to find more current drivers.

If you don't have a cd, and you plug into the motherboard for your ethernet, then download CohHelper from the link in my sig. That program's output will give you the motherboard info you need.

If you plug into a card plugged into your motherboard then you'll need to provide more info on that.

.
.Driver Sweeper * CohHelper * HijackThis * TweakCoH * CPU-ID
* Defraggler * Program Security Scan * PC Performance Scan *

You may want to go to the copmuter manufacturer's website and see if you can download the drivers from there.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
