I wanted to test out some power sets on there before I actually bought them but the market isn't working.
any idea whats going on or am I just doing something wrong? -
I've been using a razer headset for a while now... VERY comfortable for long periods great sound a little pricy but worth it

First off, great choice in sig.. Love that band... Have the star man from 2112 on my arm...
But that could just be luck of the draw between extra XP and any teaming you may have done that had you finish up early. Same thing happened to me on one toon where I had to streetsweep till I found a team for the last few bubs of 19. -

Server Status page says servers are up, but I keep getting the failed to login message.
Still unable to access as of 10:40 AM EST, 1 hr. 40 min. past declared re-boot time of 9:00 AM EST.
I know maintenance can go over sometimes, but the servers aren't usually marked as "up" until they actually are. -

must be some glitch in there... yet it kept me logged from roughly 6am to 430pm... not cool.... killer on day jobs -

Has anyone else come across this? When shopping in WW, or going through badge lists, or even scrolling up the chat log, my mouse scroll wheel has started scrolling at a crawl. Used to be claiming vet powers on a new toon was a breeze......
It works fine in every other application I use it for. Even using it to zoom in and out on my toon but not for anything else.
Anyone else have this happen to them? -

As of right now ends up I don't have any issues at all with it. When I last had this problem it was back in late November I had put in a new vid card (gtx 260maxcore) I would always have my video card "crash" as per vista... basically the same thing that would happen back when the 9800 cards came out with vista till that hotfix came out.
Now as I said I tried a new game that was crying for new drivers and I installed the latest ones (I think the SAME ONES I had back in NOv, and after 5+ hours of heavy gaming last night no crash! I'll still grab a coh helper log once I get home just to be safe

Hey guys, stupid question time, I just had to upgrade my video drivers to the latest Nvidia had on their site. (running a 260 card now on the 195.62 driver)
Now I'm just wondering what are the best drivers to run this game on, as I remember last time I had the latest ones for this card I was crashing often (game not pc) and is there any workaround for it, for other games run better with newer drivers but when I come back here will i have to uninstall/reinstall constantly?

The 9800 was, on paper, about the same as a currently shipping GTS 250, so the GTX series should be a step beyond.
Thanks for the answer... I knew what I would be getting was in the 200 series but I didn't know where the 9800 fell into it. I ended up getting a GTX 260 maxcore....
Any opinions on that card? -
Hey guys I'm running a BFG 9800 gtc OC that just fried out. Fried out so bad my screen looks like its an old TV with rabbit ears on it and a pile of snow on the screen.
I just got off the phone with BFG and they said do the regular RMA deal for a replacement, but I'm thinking of upgrading to a new card, and keeping the RMA-ed one for backup. The guy on the line couldn't tell me what the next step up would be...
any ideas? -
I would say you're better off using an external for the simple reason that if you ever decide to get a new computer you can use the external with the new PC, AND since (not to sound like a smug SOB) it sounds like you're not really sure what you would be doing when you open it up to install an internal, might just save yourself a bunch of headaches.

I was running into this alot myself when I was running vista and two screens,
What I did was set the game to windowed mode and all was fixed. -
You're running the same card I am. I had that issue that was SO bad that I couldn't get more than 15 min into the game without a crash.
The hotfix is fine. I have had no other crashes in any game be it L4D, WoW, CO, DnD Online, or Sins of a Solar Empire.
Granted the only one that got any decent amount of time playing them was CO because if I payed for that P.O.S. game I might as well get my fill of it before I uninstall it.
As far as where the hotfix is, I honestly don't remember, BUT I do believe there was a sticky to it in the old fourums under vista error/fixes and that SP2 has it in there. I'm 95% sure that when I built this rig (same vid card new MOBO/CPU etc) I just installed SP2 and didn't bother with the hotfix. -
Just curious on your vid card issue..
what card are you running and what verison of Vista. I picked up a 9800 shortly after they came out when there were all the driver issues, but a windows hotfix took care of everything. I haven't had a vid card caused game crash in well over a year. -
Go with the WD Mybook 500gb drive.
Now I'm not sure if you are going to be using this just for backup, or as an extention of your current machine. (ie a constant use D drive) if that's the case I would highly suggest picking up a 2nd one for purely backup reasons. I've had an external drive for years now just for backup. Harder to lose than a pile of DVD's and in case of hard drive failure much easier to restore everything.
I know its expensive to get two of them but to me the piece of mind is definetly worth it! -
It happened to me again yesterday with a bugged mission at around 5pm EST.... the wait was over 30 minutes. This was the 2nd time I tried to clear this mission but since I couldn't and didn't want to go through the hassles of a third time,I just went around the house and did some work. I'd poke my head into the game to see if I heard anything from them but nothing till well after 5:30.. and talk about the chatbot feel with a dire need of grammar check. I felt like I was talking to my 3 year old nephew who didn't have english as a first language...

You were very lucky... I've had issues where it has been faster to reset a mission than to wait for the GM. Running a mission team the other day we petitioned a stuck enemy. waited around the mission entrance for a bout five minutes. Got tired of waiting. Exited, reset the mission cleared it and were about half way into the next mission before it the GM got in touch with me.

You may want to go to the copmuter manufacturer's website and see if you can download the drivers from there.
