Hey guys, stupid question time, I just had to upgrade my video drivers to the latest Nvidia had on their site. (running a 260 card now on the 195.62 driver)


Now I'm just wondering what are the best drivers to run this game on, as I remember last time I had the latest ones for this card I was crashing often (game not pc) and is there any workaround for it, for other games run better with newer drivers but when I come back here will i have to uninstall/reinstall constantly?

This will actually vary from person to person. Hardware configuration, software configuration etc come into play. What may be the perfect drivers for you, may not work so well for someone else.

Are you having a particular issue currently? You mentioned crashing in the past but I don't think you're saying you're crashing now. If you are having issues currently, post a CoH Helper log and we should be able to give you a hand

As of right now ends up I don't have any issues at all with it. When I last had this problem it was back in late November I had put in a new vid card (gtx 260maxcore) I would always have my video card "crash" as per vista... basically the same thing that would happen back when the 9800 cards came out with vista till that hotfix came out.

Now as I said I tried a new game that was crying for new drivers and I installed the latest ones (I think the SAME ONES I had back in NOv, and after 5+ hours of heavy gaming last night no crash! I'll still grab a coh helper log once I get home just to be safe

No problem

Those crashing issues where the driver stops responding have for the most part been resolved. As long as your video drivers and Windows are up to date, you shouldn't have that problem anymore

Must have just been luck of the draw... Its odd I always run my windows updates as they pop up... maybe I was a day or so behind one or something....
