Thanks in advance!
2. I've played both earth and thorns higher than 30. You're doing great on the earth side so far. Just try to fit in volcanic gases and animate stone too. As for thorns, impale sucks, you should respec at 35ish. Ripper and thorn burst are pretty good. No thorn trops and thorn burst is okay, but not necessary with a 6-slotted fling thorns (it deserves 6). It's a really nice AoE power, huge cone short range.
3. Go plant/thorn! Energy is too single target to take advantage of the confusion control in plant (which is it's main control). Thorn has 2 attacks with kb and does really good AoE damage. You'll NEED stamina on every character excluding ones with /psi and/or powersink.
4. What type of MM? (melee solution is post above) ranged pets just put at range.
5. Dominators. Their secondary can be pretty scrapperish so it won't be completely foreign to you and your controls will allow you to set the pace of battle.

Dark armor kills fury. Doms are too squishy to go first so follow the brute/tank. Healers keep everyone alive.

[/ QUOTE ]

well, technically DA can cause some fury issues thanks to foes being unable to attack when Feared/stunned.

Doms are squishy when their AoEs aren't up, I wouldn't want to rush in to a fight with a dom when I didn't have any AoE control ready and throw out Spine Burst.

[/ QUOTE ]

My doms (except grav! ) always have a control up if they have hasten/good slotting. And if we are moving faster than that controls aren't really needed. And dark doesn't hurt fury much more than any other brute set (fault, burn, foot stomp, other stuff).

8. I'm level 47 right now so I want to start working on permadom, how does this look? LoTG will probably be the last thing I buy.

I'm loving my plant/fire personally though most people go with /psi secondary because Shockwave is sick. Electric is also pretty good. No set has any real synergy with plant but then again you don't need any with plant.

Really, anything but /energy and /thorn is awesome. Both of those are terrible sets and should only be taken if you want a challenge.

[/ QUOTE ]

My plant/thorn dom would like to have a word with you. /thorns does not suck. /Thorns has great AoE potential and IO slotting options (-res proc in fling thorns is amazing). The -defense makes enemies die faster because they'll hit each other more often when confused. Not to mention aim is just wonderful because it gives you burst damage when you need it most (after seeds of confusion with aim) so you will take most of the xp. Ripper is awesome too. Thorn burst, impale, and thorntrops not so much. And of course it is the most thematic.

Briefly hijacking this to announce that the whole super permadom 1-whatever is a strong contender for the worst anything ever. Thank you and drive safely.

[/ QUOTE ]

And super-tanker-mind is definitely #2. Yes, we find your naming skills hilarious and disturbing Nericus.
11. [ QUOTE ]
Extracted Essence remains because the player is not the entity that summoned them (I think).

[/ QUOTE ]

Who is then...? The zombie? They die too and so do their summoned pets.
12. Soul extraction is already as dead as dead can get.

Ice/Psi Video

[ QUOTE ]
wouldnt ball lightning get you more damage regularly than water spout? i feel like my ice/psi/mu moves faster than that.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure it does. I'm a very thematic person though and it will raise my single target damage.

New to Game

[ QUOTE ]
The more i look at it the more i like Bots/FF or is that to boring?

[/ QUOTE ]

You'll be slow and boring according to most forum-goers, but you will be able to solo anything. The melee pets are better if you strictly solo and a fairly single target secondary would go well with it. (necro/psn is fun and powerful solo)
15. On most of my characters I just add teammates to buff my own spawn count, but if I'm not at a high level (of play) then I would try to get the best available (and petless MMs are near the bottom of that list.)
16. Azucar_NA

Merc/TA Video

I also think people aren't taking into consideration the nature of the set. It is ALL targeted AoE. No melee for you or your pets. And the slows keep them nice and bunched up w/ no scatter like /storm. Yes, /storm can debuff resistance better, but can you use thunder clap or gale or hurricane or tornado or even freezing rain without having enemies scatter from merc's small cones? TA also handles being mezzed much better, they have no toggles to shut off. Mercs don't need the resistance from exotic damage types and the stealth steamy mist provides is equivalent to flash arrow's -perception. I'm certain that merc/TA > merc/storm.

Edit: Actually I'm going to say that with all aspects considered merc/TA is greater than any other merc/ combination and merc/TA is better than any other /TA combination (except perhaps bots or thugs).
17. [ QUOTE ]
I disagree about the Animate Stone being better than Jack Frost. Dealing Ice Damage is certainly an advantage over Smashing Damage, and you also get more control with Jack.

Rocky is a good tank (not nearly as good as Singularity, though) and little else.

[/ QUOTE ]

I disagree, Pooman is a great tank and is better than singularity (he has taunt and can actually deal good damage to get attention). I disagree about pooman being better than jack, I think they are about the same (yes, I have both of them and had all 3 of them).
18. Earth/fire, earth/elec seem like it wouldn't know what to do once it controlled 8-man spawns (lol, kill one by one), but fire knows exactly what to do, burn them all down to the ground.

Very nicely done video. Great quality.

What else can ignite Oil Slick besides Flamethrower? Commando doesn't use it unless he is at closer range.

I don't know. I just feel Oil Slick looks quite weak because other sets like /dark and /storm, they use Pet debuff values so their base debuff values are a lot higher than TA's. One Freezing Rain can debuff 30% resistance while Disruption Arrow only debuffs 15%. You have to throw Acid Arrow to get to 30%.

Endurance cost also seems high to do the job. Freezing Rain costs 22 end but Disruption + Acid Arrow = 27ish end.

I would like to try TA again but I just don't think it's gonna be good.

[/ QUOTE ]

2 origin powers can light the oil slick, I have a macro that targets OSA and uses apprentice charm at the same time, since it has no defense I find it really easy to light and only miss on a few occassions (but with such a low recharge on the power I can try it up to 7ish times though I never get past 2). The odd thing is that I have absolutely no clue what lit OSA in that video. TA is very light on endurance (compared to storm it costs nothing lol). I only picked up stamina because of EMP arrow and I didn't feel like slotting IOs that gave +recovery bonuses. OSA makes the set do more damage than dark or storm.

Edit: Can't find where it was said, but I'm pretty sure disruption stacks with itself. And I know glue arrow does.
20. I think 45% is the soft cap so aim for that.
