If I were a betting man, I'd speculate that PSW is going to end up similar to the blaster version which means double the recharge and less damage.
I don't need it on test to know how the set will perform with blaster version psw because I've used blaster psw...
edit: it just so happens he is setting dom modifiers to be very close to blaster ones. Excuse my fantastic leap in logical deduction in saying that dom psw will feel very similar to blaster psw as a result (minus aim and build up of course

Psi is going to need a LOT of compensation to make up for that change. I somehow don't see mindprobe and tk thrust suddenly doing thunderstrike level damage and I don't see psy scream being made stronger than firebreath.
I do see all those powers improving a bit (especially the damage of tkthrust) and I also see dart and mental blast moving to the blaster versions.
His toon is obviously a pbaoe-centric build sporting Arc air, DP, and PSW while standing on slick.
My question stands.
The more people that weigh in now that they want Castle to focus on preserving the pbaoe playstyle of /psi the better chance it has of remaining a unique play experience. He can do w/e the hell he wants to PSW as long as the set still excels in melee range with a focus on pbaoe performance.
He also agreed any nerf to PSW would have to be offset by buffs to the Psi Assault but since that hinders your argument...you'll ignore that piece of information I'm sure.

keep reading. you must have missed where I mentioned compensating the set and how I think it is going to be done.
It is not hindering my argument as I wasn't making an argument. I asked a question based on what I witnessed his playstyle to be.
If he plays pbaoe and hypothetically they buffed psy scream to do triple the current damage (not going to happen though), he no longer plays pbaoe and no longer leverages AA to full effect.
I'm not sure what you are tying to accomplish, or get me to say. We've been told psw is likely going to mimic the blaster version and we've been told psi will be compensated to help offset the change. Unless DP gets a heap of damage added, or another power is turned in to a pbaoe it is very likely going to result is a semi-to-drastic play style change for /psi users.
There is no one trying to spin anything here. Just a dude saying: "hey you like your ice/psi enough to create a video and post about it, that's cool. How would you feel when your playstlye for that toon is drastically changed? Because we are on the eve of that happening."
I haven't said a single time in any post that PSW shouldn't be changed, just that I hope the feel of the set remains. The feel is up close and personal low/mediocre aoe damage with mediocre-to-high pbaoe dps under high recharge.

Probably not as much. The PBAoE is what I like most about this character and I'm definitely not going to be going with psy scream. He'll still be pretty good, especially once I get permadom, hibernate, and my coralax. I think /psi should (not necessarily will) retain it's status as highest PBAoE damage dealer though.
I'll be happy if he can still kill spawns that size, but slower though.
My Ice/Psi is one of those people who stacks Domination. Yes, I'll still like PSW after it's changed. kthxbai.

To be fair, his argument is a hell of a lot more reasoned and balanced than Ditzy_Blonde's. Based off of the very limited information available, he made a measured guess. It might not be one you agree with, but it is measured...And he explained the logic of it, so you can debate that.
Now I for one, am completely refraining from speculation or comment as there is far too much of that going on already. I'll wait a bit until we get some more information (if Castle deigns to give us any, considering the shellacking he got in the I15 Dom Buffs thread-something that is an embarrassment for our community, I might add).

I'm pretty sure it does. I'm a very thematic person though and it will raise my single target damage.
my ice/psi is named Hibernoob, i think my 1st dual build was to get him hibernate just for the screenshot
