This happens to me occasionaly.
If you manually reposition the henchman closer to the door, he will attack.
That blue thing running around saying "Cookies are sometimes food" is Praetorian Cookie Monster!

I will usually use the 'Attack my target' command while targeting the door. Barring that setting them close to the door in Aggressive should work.
