Quote:...why not?Like that's hard to do. Actually, I DON'T want to see up super heroines' skirts, but the game doesn't really allow me, especially if that skirt is on one of my own super heroines. Put up a skirt, fly. Welcome to upskirt city.
I DO want to know what happens to City Hall's floor, though. Right now, the "fake reflection" works on all graphics settings, but come Going Rogue, what will happen to it? Undoubtedly we'd have a REAL reflection as a variant, but will that override the old reflection? Won't two City Halls AND a reflected City Hall just lag the place too much? -
Quote:I just hope we get color tintable versions of the rest of the pistol options. Gold-plated Uzis, anyone?Ok just a quick one but are we going to get multiple pistol options?
And if yes, can we please have a Mauser C96 option?
PLEASE!
Thankyou In Advance. -
Quote:Good god! The force fields are misaligned! Kirk and Spock are mere millimeters from exposure to the freezing vaccuum of space!Just give everyone a temp power. I would say "skin-tight force field." There is even a handy visual to base it on: the "force fields-as-spacesuits" of Star Trek the animated series. The crew had belts which surrounded them with a force field. It was a cheap way to do the animation, but it existed in science fiction before that.

Quote:And inversely, there are some people with a lot of green rep that make me wonder how they got it all.Well, if you were the neg-rep in a world of pos-reps, that'd probably stand out, but since so many of us have our rep turned off and so many others get negative rep for stupid things (like daring to so much as mention Champions Online), it's a lot less meaningful than it ought to be. These days I see people with negative reputation not as negative posters but as some unlucky underdog who stumbled into a bad situation, since that's how that usually happens.
UPDATE: And apparently one of them just neg-repped me. Should've predicted that. Oh, even better. They get additional neg-repping power. I went from +6 to -9. -

Quote:I just hope they allow for the possibility of future Power Customization letting us personalize some Demon Summoning henchmen as cyberdemons that shoot the rocket missiles. But I think our best bet is new sets all together such as the demon summoning.
And maybe an ability that leaves the enemy trapped and unable to kill. -

Would the Freakshow think that Praetoria is like the most awesome dimension ever?
I mean they can smash stuff up and be hailed as heroes, infact the Resistance would actively encouraged the bringing down of Cole's monuments. I could see the Resistance actively hiring the Freakshow for a bit of urban deconstruction. Come for the pay, stay for the carnage!
Seriously, man. It would NOT end well.
Quote:I'm really hoping that both sides are presented as being as morally ambiguous as I imagine, and that the the decision making process that influences which side your character ends up on won't be a bunch of simple "Do you help the lost little kid find his mom or MURDER HIM AND EAT HIS TENDER FLESH MUAHAHAHAH" kind of crap. I'm hoping for some decision trees where you won't know until after you choose which side you just pushed yourself towards. But with some way to recover standing with the other faction before the final decision has to be made, if you've really got your heart set on one side. -
Quote:Indeed. A comic book universe should be a world to escape TO, not FROM.Ugh, no, see, that just falls into the equally irritating "turns out there are no heroes, Man is an animal, society is a veneer stretched over the law of the jungle" trap. That kind of thing is just as validly explorable, philosophically speaking, but also just as out of place in the simple world of the superhero.
Seriously, I'm just tired of all the postmodern self-examination in today's pop culture. It's why I love Atomic Robo so much. Those guys still get it: Nazis are bad, punch them in their face, the end. -

OPERATIVE IAGO WANTED FOR SELLING INFORMATION TO ARACHNOSYou knew Operative Iago didn't have any scruples, but selling secrets to Arachnos? How could even a villain sink so low?
-or-
KIDNAPPED SCIENTISTS WERE APPARENTLY MIND CONTROLLED BY LOST TO WORK ON LOSTMind control? You didn't even know the Lost could do that! You'd better get those scientists out of there, quick!
-or-A cell of the Freakshow that blames society? You might just know which one they're talking about, and where they're hiding the portal tech.
THE PORTAL TECH WAS STOLEN BY A CELL OF THE FREAKSHOW THAT BLAMES SOCIETY -
Quote:Thank God, I was getting sick of this argument. Even if I was right.I'm going to kill everyone's pony and say that as long as I am on this project, it will never happen. They will have to replace me with a gibbering idiot to get the okay to move forward with animation and VFX needed to support 'underwater' zones.
And then it will take years and ultimately look stupid.
P.S. Aquaman is lame! -
Quote:People don't get violently knocked back when hit with a rifle round, Polonium Irradiation would actually be quite unhealthy, and if Impervium were indeed the hardest metal in the known universe, it would in actuality be quite brittle. What's your point?A smoke grenade in air creates a rapidly-expanding, rising cloud of smoke. An ink-grenade in water creates a slower-moving blotch of ink which expands via omni-directional tendrils and tends to float in place, slowly sinking over time.
Also, we shouldn't have to spend influence to survive underwater. We don't have to spend money to NOT get cancer when we trudge about in Crey's Folly, Bloody Bay or Siren's Call. -

Lady Jane already does it! ...not sure why she was carrying that bat, though.

Quote:I'll take this point by point.I have to admit the more and more I read Sam's point of view, the more I agree with everything he's saying about the problems with how the powers would work underwater.
Quote:Take Hurricane and Tornado for example. If they did work underwater wouldn't they pull things towards them instead of pushing them away because if used underwater they'd be creating whirlpools?
Quote:How do you throw a grenade? Caltrops?
Quote:Wouldn't someone entrapped in a block of ice float to the surface?
Quote:Wouldn't fire imps get suffocated (put out) underwater?
Quote:The list goes on and on.
As for the problem of breathing underwater...
I'm Batman. I can breathe in space. -
Quote:Of course, you do realize that if they do that, they'll later make it so pet attacks build Domination...just in time for the next round of Powerset Proliferation. It makes much more sense to be a Dom specific set as they already have had Electric Assault for a while now. If Controllers get to keep Illusion all to themselves while taking our Plant set then it's only fair that we get a new set to keep to ourselves.
After all, we need something to pair Storm Summoning with other than Ice Control.

Quote:Didn't the Praetorian Infernal come from an alternate world where demon-binding is common the same way our Infernal did? And if so...what does that say about a certain part of our Infernal's backstory, being that he is NOT native to Primal Earth? That reminds me of a huge continuity gap with regard to the Praetorians:
The Primal Earth Phalanx and Vindicators all are from Primal Earth; but, many of their Praetorian counterparts each have their own 'World.'
Wha?
If Portal tech is something they just discovered in Praetoria, then how did Tyrant hook up with all these goatee-counterparts from various dimensions? -
Quote:You should keep in mind that this method would deprive you of the Reward Merits that multiple Eochais would drop. If you have a good debuffer or two on the team, I'd suggest killing the Eochais yourselves. Though I will admit that Iron Warrior is the kind of badge title that is extremely difficult to wait for.

Click the underlined things in my post. They'll link to more information about the badges.
-
Because oddly enough, there's a lot of people who don't want their character to lose one-time-only-and-that's-it badges like Pursuer/Elusive or the whoa-that's-a-lot-of-work badges like Field Crafter.

Why are people interpreting "Will content in Going Rogue be capped at level 40?" as "Will there be a level bump beyond 50?"
-
When City of Heroes was first released, the highest level a hero could be was 40. With the release of Issue 1, the level cap was raised to 50, and consequently accompanied by new zones. In the release of City of Villains for Issue 6, the initial level cap was again 40, and wasn't raised to 50 until Issue 7. Will Going Rogue follow this weird 'tradition'? If so, will level 50 characters be unable to do anything in Praetoria, or does Ouroboros patrol alternate timelines as well?
UPDATE: Since some people apparently aren't paying attention, I will note I am NOT asking for a level bump beyond 50. -
Quote:City of Heroes: Tactical Espionage Action. FUND IT.My Night Widow always roleplays dragging the bodies away so that they won't be discovered. She'd never be so careless or sloppy as to leave a body lying around so that a patrol could come along and trip over it...
So if you add a taunt to defeated enemies, at least give us the option of "moving" those enemies so that they don't draw attention, or so that you can group bodies for certain powers. Warshades would enjoy that option. -

Quote:The problem is that it's a badge for Heroes that has a title that's taken for a horrible and evil book that helped in the murder of thousands and thousands of people, mostly women.
It's not a religous objection - it's a moral one.
Wanna go with the "moral objection" route? Let's dance.- http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Shark_Hunter_Badge The number of sharks killed by humans is astronomically higher than the number of humans killed by sharks!

I somehow doubt that's what you want. Plus, the witch hunts you refer to were indeed a very regrettable part of human history, but they occurred about 3 or 4 CENTURIES ago. - http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Shark_Hunter_Badge The number of sharks killed by humans is astronomically higher than the number of humans killed by sharks!
