Just to note, even when they first were talking about pricing possibilities, MMs and Controllers were listed at 1200pp. I have NO IDEA where you got 600pp from. I suspect you don't either.
-
When I came back between i20 and i20.5 after about six months off, I had none of my bids or stored items left; anything I had purchased or sold was still there.

You will keep access to everything in Going Rogue (sans Incarnates because it requires GR+sub) - you keep Demon Summoning/Electric Control, but MMs/Trollers require a separate unlock. You will lose access to First Ward. FW is a zone pack for 600pp. You will lose access to Time Manipulation characters. TM is available for 800pp.
It also depends on how many Reward Tokens you have in the Paragon Rewards Program, because the PRP unlocks items/stuff in tiers. You may or may not have access to masterminds, auction house, inventions system, etc.

Quote:It's kind of rude to assume that I'm a VIP that looks down on returning players (if that's not what you meant, use clearer language). I opened up the rewards screen and took a screenshot of what I saw. It said VIP subscribers on my screen, and why should I assume that two words would change based on subscription status? Everything else stays static. They really shouldn't use a variable based on subscription status. They should say "All players"...after all, "all players" unlock those things, not variable based on subscription status.Enjoy! And try to do research into what a Premium user should have access to rather than just looking at the VIP side
I'm here trying to improve things for returning players, rather than a VIP that looks down at returning players. I want those players to come back and enjoy the game, not run into experiences that I am where they're not being given what it says they're supposed to.
-
Just checked on my Preemie account, and you are indeed correct. Perhaps they should change that from a variable that changes based on subscription to a flat "All players". There is a lot of confusion surrounding the PRewards, and not least because the devs are saying one thing and doing another, and then describing what they're doing in unclear language.

Before I21, bids and items would disappear after 90 days. After I21, they haven't told us whether this has changed or not.

Hasten doesn't change the numbers in the information screen. However, if you click on "Power" on your power tray, then click on "Combat Attribuets", there is a section called "Base". Open that and you'll see Hasten's effect under Recharge Bonus.

Quote:Uh, really? I'm pretty sure it's "BUY" one per day, not "SPEND" one per day. I only have one merit on my reaffirmed characters so I can't confirm this. Can someone else clarify which one of us is wrong here? Also, you can only spend hero merits once per day. So if you have 7 and want to go vigilante, you'll need to buy 2-merit recipes once a day for 3 days, then something with that last merit on day four to spend them all. Or earn your way up to 20/30 merits and buy a Purple/PvP recipe but that would take significantly longer.

Yes, you are wrong. Market access allows you to buy and sell on the market. I can't remember whether it allows you to buy inventions or not (beta testing the premium account was too long ago for my like-a-steel-....funnel memory to retain), but it definitely doesn't allow you to get any extra drops. EVERYTHING inventions related is gated by the inventions license or paragon reward.

Quote:Well, yes. You're no longer a VIP subscriber. However, it seems I am not getting *any* of my bonus Salvage, Invention Recipes, AH Slot, nor Salvage Vault bonuses that the Paragon Rewards tier indicates. I should have the same bonuses as a VIP for those various rewards and I am not getting any of them. (Unless I missed a bonus some place, I should have a total of +18 to my vault salvage storage, I have a total of 50 which is what a level 45-50 character should have. During my VIP status I'd have 70 vault salvage instead of the normal 50).
You only get those things if you're a VIP subscriber.

Sooooooo the only actual issues you have are the HEAT/VEAT access (have you actually logged into one to see if you can actually play them, or are they just unlockable?) and the 2 missing global slots from Premium status. -
I think what the game does is take away your proc-version and grant you a non-proc-version, so technically the popup is right, but it didn't do that before i21 sooooo I have no idea what they changed. lol

Quote:Tony Kord and Paula Dempsey are still in the game. All of the Level 5-10 contacts still exist, you are just not pointed straight to them anymore. The only way to start those contact chains now is do the Atlas Safeguard mission. They will then start introducing you to each other as you complete missions.
Actually, the same is true for all the old contacts up through 50. I don't know of any the brand new content that will direct you to the old contact system. The Contact Finder sends you to Hollows, the Faultline, then Striga. Then I think the new contacts in Talos Island. Or maybe Croatoa. I don't know what you are supposed to do after that if you have never been exposed to the old contact system.Quote:I think I was introduced to a non-zone-contact on my 24 WS, but now that I think about it I'm not sure. I will have to go poke around.
Also, I was appropriately referred up from a Steel Canyon contact (name is totally escaping me already!) to Jose Escalante, a lv30-34 Founders' Falls contact. So that kind of introduction is also still working.
edit: WOW. This is two days in a row that I've double posted a new reply instead of editing my previous post. Maybe I need to take a nap. -

Please note that there are a LOT of oddities/bugs currently in the system regarding bonus pp, slot tokens, reward tokens, and subscription status.
For instance, a trial account I have was migrated to active status and has 4 character tokens even though it should only have 2; another example, a trial account I upgraded with the $1.99 deal, which has since gone premium, has 1200pp when it should have 800. Also, I know someone whose account autorenewed yesterday with no lapse in subscription, and yet they are now labeled Preemie, and did not get their reward token and bonus pp for the monthly renewal. -
Has the vBulletin one ever done? I thought that stopped when we swapped over (July 2009).
-
Well, City of Data matches what's in-game, which CoD hasn't been updated since May so I'm going to say no, there was no change to Repulsing Torrent.

LR and SC are 20ft radius. I would expect SA to be similar or slightly smaller.

Quote:I'm going to re-post what Arcanaville said, because she summed it up very well:Second video link he posts, 6:40ish seconds in, going rogue comes with one incarnate level (alpha), with more to come in Issue 19.
That's straight from the dev's themselves, that they later changed their mind, doesn't matter people bought going rogue based on that presentation.Quote:But when Going Rogue was announced and its features listed in public, like say at PAX (see here and here) the Alpha preview was said to be part of Going Rogue as a "by the way" when talking about Issue 19, not as a direct part of discussing Going Rogue. The Alpha preview was not a highlighted feature of Going Rogue.
"A preview of X with purchase of Y" does not mean "X is part of Y". It means that players are getting a sneak peak of a system that will be fully implemented later. -
Quote:You mean like Real World Hero? Now if someone actually came up with a way to donate to Real World charities trying to help REAL people that actually NEED help.. I'd gladly open my wallet

Then you definitely need to note that your guide isn't completed. Each of those items I stated are things we have been told by the developers, not by players (no offense to Snow Globe and Zombie Man). Facebook's Freedom Fridays, Ustream chats, forum posts, panel Q&A, etc.

Quote:It requires you to own Going Rogue. It is not a part of Going Rogue. There is actually a difference, both semantic and marketing-wise.I have zero problem with the Incarnate System being VIP only. It is a non issue.
However, the system was absolutely tied to Going Rogue and no retcon and revisionist history is going to change that. Not sure why you worded it that way, but you had to have Going Rogue for that system and that was always the case.
I know you know this, so I don't understand why you'd word it like that. -
It looks like there are a ton of people having issues getting their monthly/yearly stuff under the new system. Pretty much everyone I've seen mention having a renewal since launch hasn't gotten their "stuff" (bonus pp, reward token, badge, whatever).
Oddities also abound for returning players/accounts, with having too much or too little of the various details (character slots, bonus pp, reward tokens, etc).
