  1. I haven't used a character build guide in years. (I've used multiple guides that have nothing to do with building characters, but that's beyond the scope of the OP.) The ratio of new players to veterans is skewed fairly heavily toward vets, and it skews more toward vets over time...which means over time, the player base gets more experienced, it doesn't stay flat with "a bunch of newbies" and "a bunch of vets"... eventually the curve leans over to the vets. Vets generally have less need of guides, and more need of brief clarifications. The game is not hard, the powersets are not difficult to understand. Guides become less and less of use to veterans as they grow more experienced.

*It would have to be an autocomplete for LISAR to not have realized what happened.
I don't know why I always get those two mixed around (villains requires mission completion, heroes requires talking - my first thought is always the other way 'round). Derp.

You can't autocomplete missions that grant badges.

    Bug or WAI?

Are you sure someone didn't just talk to the student for the end of that arc? Cos that's how it's done.

Or did you get the badge while you were still inside the mission?

What was the name of the alignment mission? WHEN did you get the badge? (inside the mission? outside the mission? if outside--what zone?)

In order to judge one way or the other, we obviously need more details than "this happened. is it supposed to?"
  4. Eight. Four of those are for an arc I'm tinkering with. Considering I have over 100 alts, I'm fairly impressed. Although before I changed computers, I think I had into the several-hundred range, but it was one of the pieces I didn't copy over (including player notes, default keybinds, custom sounds, and other bits... sigh)

Note that you don't have to have a Titan account to download Sentinel.

Note that you DO have to have a badge-hunter account to download Vidiotmaps (unless you have someone send you the install file, or find it in Google).
  6. The "redraw" in elemental melee attacks are baked into their animation/animation time, so they do not suffer from redraw delay. There is no actual "redraw".

This was changed back when they did the overhaul to the whole redraw system, which actually implemented redraw. Before, the redraw was considered part of the actual animation/animation time of the attack.

So, before, EVERY SINGLE ATTACK, even a rifle attack followed by a rifle attack followed by a rifle attack followed by a rifle attack, suffered from redraw.

They removed the redraw delay from the animations/animation time, which means rifle attack, rifle attack, sands of mu no longer redraws between rifle attacks; but rifle attack, sands of mu, rifle attack does redraw.

    -----------

I don't think this set would be fun. Having two redraws built into the set is bad enough, but couple that with temporary/temp-permanent powers, secondary powers, pool powers, and epic powers, and it just gets kind of ridiculous.

Just a note: Running That Other Game well or not is completely irrelevant, as That Other Game runs on DirectX instead of OpenGL like City does. Additionally, That Other Game is purposefully built to run on even the crappiest of systems (this is part of how it has millions of subscribers - because almost literally no one is left out), unlike City which doesn't really dumb down its graphics for the lowest common denominator.

The jackets are [Classic/Victorian] Steampunk Jacket. The bustiers are chest detail, [Classic/Victorian] Steampunk 01.
  9. Update your original request, don't keep sending new requests. All it does is get shuffled to the back of the line.
  10. I entered the one you didn't have to register an account to enter, which means my chances of winning are somewhere between none and miniscule.

Kinda disappointed in contests that require registering an account with yet another website. I don't want their spam just to partake in their contests, and half of them make you jump through hoops not to be sent their spam by default.

    QoL SB

Pets' attacks are not affected by +recharge, but anything else will function properly for them. So the movement part of SB works, the debuff resistance part works, but not the +recharge part.

PS; eryq, you should know by now that if you want developer feedback, you need to PM a developer. Asking in Random Forum Thread will almost guarantee no developer response.
  12. Since the details aren't accurate AT ALL to either imperial or metric scale, just pretend it says "units" and pretend "arbitrary length" is equal to "one unit".
  13. Did you renew your account in the last couple days?

Fixed. But note that it's a wiki - everyone can edit it - if you see something wrong, YOU can fix it - you don't have to wait for someone else to do it.
  15. The GR code is not on a card like the rest of the boxes. It's in the Quick Reference guide, either page 2 or 3.
  16. Yes, the GR test server is the beta server.

Might as well say, "They do in the apple tree", because it has just as much relevance.

Excuse me for phrasing it like this, but, "Duh!" Ms. Liberty is his granddaughter. Of course he's going to love and care for her!

That's totally different than being in detached from humanity in general, especially romantically. Familial bonds don't work the same way.
  22. It's likely that the OP is looking at wikia, which is a terrible source and because of dirty SEO tricks, is almost always at the top of the list for searching CoH terms.

If you want an updated wiki with most of the most recent data, go to http://www.paragonwiki.com - don't use a search engine and click a link, because chances are good you're going to the crapwiki.

This is a design decision that they made specifically.

I can see it either way, but I personally prefer it the way we have it, so that there isn't so much homogenization (until later levels). I am, in general, against homogenization.

I wouldn't mind if they created new archetypes that were similar but different from the other side's. (Like Tanks and Scrappers are kind of like Brutes... sort of kind of.)

I am against starting EATs in Praetoria, as they are intimately tied to Primal Earth lore, not Praetorian. I am OK with creating a Praetorian EAT.

Maybe you should post in the Titan forums if you want the Titan crew to know.
