Yes, but when I press "Play" a black window pops up and ANOTHER error pops up saying: ./piggs/bin.piggs: Bad flag on file - not a pig file -1
Your data might be corrupt, please run the patcher and try again.
Seems like when it comes to City of heroes, there can be many errors. :/
This strikes me as a conflict with Vista/Windows 7 admin issues.
Try running the NCSoft Launcher as an Administrator by right clicking on it.

Um, based on your other thread, you already had an installed and (mostly) working installation. Have you been able to log in with it ever? Because the GR expansion doesn't need to be installed separately from the rest of the game. There's only one client version, you just enter the access code to your account to enable access to things you didn't have available before. So, you shouldn't need to install anything.
If you didn't ever have log in ability, I can't help with the error messages.

Every client has the exact same game. What changes is what their account allows access to - costume packs, GR or not, vet rewards and the like. You add the code at plaync.com and it's set.
Right now, I'd probably delete the tempfile and, using the NCSoft launcher, click on the arrow to the right of the City of Heroes entry and have it do a repair.
I found no code on the Going Rogue case. I only found a CD, is there supposed to be a code? Because I bought the case at Gamestop, no game card.

There should be an NCSoft card in there with a code on it or it should be on the CD packaging someplace.

The client itself is free to download by anyone so the only thing you are ever paying for is the code to apply to your account. Never buy any MMO used.
If you didn't buy it used then yes, take it back and demand a code.

The GR code is not on a card like the rest of the boxes. It's in the Quick Reference guide, either page 2 or 3.

No, it's not used it's new. And I'll check the quick reference sheet when I can find it.
Try hard to find it. That code number is what you paid for - everything else is window dressing.
The cover has Tyrant and Statesman and says 'Quick Reference Card'.
Open it ONCE (it's a long sheet folded multiple times) and, on the lower left it says 'Serial Code' and has a string of 20 characters. THAT is what you need.

I got the "Going Rogue" expansion, the one where you have to put in a CD and install it. So when it does the new patch (on the old patcher, not the new one), an error pops up after around 10 minutes saying: failed to rename C:\Progam Files\City of Heroes/tempfile to C:\Progam Files\City of Heroes/piggs/bin.pigg THEN it restarts the download and says the exact same error.
I don't want to be paying around $15 a month for an error.
Any suggestions?
