I think he even knew why I said what I did from the beginning.

I did not see the second post. I do appreciate the elaboration.

For orbiting death, the FotG proc for -resistance will serve you a bit better than the chance for energy damage.

I wouldn't take dark detonation, but as you said this suits your playstyle, I won't make any suggestions for a replacement.

Stygian Circle really only needs a basic recharge IO. Anything more than that is wasted, unless you can find nothing else do to with those slots.

For inky aspect, if you need to slot it with more than it's basic slot, Stupefy is a good way to go for the recharge bonus. You can get the defenses that razzle dazzle provides via other ways that don't take as many slots.

Dark Extraction: Remove the proc and dam/end from expedient, and slap in the Dam/Rech and chance for build up from the purple pet set.

Gravitic Emanation really needs slotted more than it is--if anything, swap out the slotting on Inky for those slots.

Essence drain is not worth picking if it isn't enhanced well enough to matter. If you can't find the slots for it, a mule with a LotG would serve you better.

You've kinda overslotted health and stamina. You really don't need that many procs (I know, the end consumption on your warshade can be scary, but keep in mind you get a full bar of endurance every time you use Stygian Circle in combat), let alone the +regen one.
I didnt see this second post. Thats good.

Essence Drain is actually worse than nothing, if it isn't enhanced well enough to hit the enemy. No accuracy, no hit, no heal. (It does make a decent filler attack, by the way. Not a great one, but it works into the DPS chain.)

I'll ignore the not so subtle insults you've chosen to toss out (because I agree that my first post was somewhat terse), but if you don't wish for my opinion you need only ask.
GE is not the warshade primary mez, Inky Aspect is. You need only to hit a boss with GE, and even then I try not to throw the rest of the crowd along with him/them. Even if someone did use it as primary mez, and throw an entire crowd with it, why slot it more when you can perma stun them with just the two slots?

Youre right about essence drain. It was picked at 49.

Please don't ignore my not so subtle insults. I specifically said in the original post please use Mids and look at the numbers. I wrestled with myself for quite sometime before deciding to post my build for all of Paragon to view, and I'd appreciate it if you were a little more constructive.

Can't comment on the rest of your build, not at a computer with mids' at the moment.
Thanks for the reply. It seems you would like to compare or even convert me to your build, because you havent even seen it in mids, nor given reasons. "Better slotted differently" is not very helpful. But Ill help you out, since youre impatient, and explain why I did it this way.

Gravitic Emanation is a 17 second aoe stun with a recharge of 12 seconds. Why slot it more - for loldamage? Combined with Inky Aspect, that's more than enough to permastun bosses. Two slots I thought was plenty - it isnt a damage power, after all.

Essence drain, if you have no other recourse, is better than nothing. Not worth slotting for a heal, or a damage power, imo.

Stygian was tricky, but I had the slots. I really wanted the melee def, but didnt want to take the auto away from the Panacea proc (The 6th piece is in Health).

All in all, 30% to positional defense is good. With Barrier and a teammate for our inhernent, youre good to go. If you went Clarion, then you really dont need the -kb IOs at all. One worked.

Thanks for taking the time out to critique before you could really look at it. Appreciate it.
  5. Good morning, everyone. I have played Zenithalia since kheldians first came out, having seen another warshade whose purply glow inspired me to pursue the rest of what was to be the most rewarding character ever.

Confusing, possibly, but it makes sense to me. I just read a post where AlienOne and TwoHeadedBoy swap ideas, and figured I would post my build and request similar critiques.

Originally I had replied to that thread, but didnt want to step on any toes. I've always admired AlienOne's position on human only, and lately reading TwoHeadedBoy's replies, seems to be on the up and up. I appreciate you two.

I believe this to be the best build for my playstyle, hands down. Please turn everything on including incarnates and accolade auto powers, as I do have them all. (Agility Radial or Spiritual Radial)

Here goes, and please be gentle:

Please use mids, and do not simply read the totals, as it doesnt take into account actual power effects.

    Thanks in advance!
  6. I have had major lag this week, but today especially. I can offer somewhat of a different perspective, as I live in Sicily, but am currently stateside this month.

It doesnt appear to be a high latency, but more of a lost packet issue. I posted a youtube video of what I was getting in Sicily. You can view it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c06Ge-1bACo

I am stateside for this month, and my laptop does the exact same thing.
You cant tell me that its me. Two different computers, two different routes... I dont believe it.

I seriously cant stand it when people with 1000+ posts HAVE to comment, stupid or otherwise. Contribute, dont make a joke.

I have posted a video showing my red bars, but the framerate is ok. It makes other things like NPCs and people jump around, where as I seem unaffected.

Watch it here, if you like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c06Ge-1bACo
  9. I am posting a video of what exactly is happening. I can move around fine, but everything else is terrible.

Watch it here, on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c06Ge-1bACo

The original video was waaay higher quality. I will try and create another with better video, but you get this gist from this one.

  11. EXACT SAME HERE> NEVER CRASHED...

I just crashed again while in an AE - specifically there with /netgraph 2 to take a screenshot. I crashed so had to post.
  12. I am still having bad lag and missed packets.
  13. No Dark Detonation? While it may scatter, those that arent dead -do- run back to melee range. Its as nice aoe every 5 seconds when youre surrounded...

    Nice defense though.

You do say wakies, but I think you mean break-frees. I really hope you meant break-frees, anyway.

But where are my manners!? Your build looks great to me. I love how you have melee and s/l defense. Thats the first thing I look at, so its kind of the selling point. I believe I only saw one purple set in there, so looks affordable, too ;-)

Thank you very much for this.

It was needed to -stack- with the forms, too? Atleast in Eclipse we needed enemies. Now Light form will soon be the best clicky in the game, damn near.

To make dwarf form closer in damage to other tanks is ridiculous. Who the hell would play tanks? Make do with being second best, but second best at EVERYTHING. You arent meant to be a "perfect" replacement for every class.
  16. In the new build, drop the last enhancement in Eclipse for a 50 IO of Recharge. Gives you 8 seconds of lee-way.

Very nice build for so cheap of IO sets. Recovery is kind of lacking, but still very impressive.

It is probably just a dream though.
Not a dream at all. Perma-Eclipse is easy. I have 10 seconds to find more soon-to-be bodies before Eclipse runs out.

I have 30% defense to Melee/Ranged and 27% to AoE defense. With Barrier Core Epiphany, it atleast adds a constant 5% (Situational only when Clarion T4 is unnecessary) which brings it to atleast 35% permanently. The first minute it is extremely difficult to hit me, but even if they do... 85% resists!

Let the other archetypes clone themselves.

No offense, but I read your guide, and while I appreciate the time you took to make it, it certainly is not an end-all to the warshade.

There are obviously different levels of fun with the warshade, the first level being the tri-form. The next level of fun, and really feeling epic, can only be found in a human only warshade.

The varying degrees of those two levels of fun depend on your IOs and slots.

So when I say seriously IO'd, I meant it.

After some thought and playing a kheldian for a long while, I have come to some radical ideas that might make this Archetype epic fun, instead of epic work.

This might be heretic for some, including myself, as I love the whole tri-form kheldian of mine, but it may be time for a whole new philosophy to take place.

    1. While shape-changing can be fun, as a function and mechanic, it just not working out. The animations take too long and shifting to either nova or dwarf locks out everything else the character can do. If we just drop those two forms all together, we can focus on balancing out our human (or humanoid) powers.

    2. Absorption/Incandescnce - Largely ignored and never slotted power that every kheldian is force to take at level one. With the above idea (#1), perhaps we can make this power useful. With the dwarf form gone, we could make this into the kheldian mez resist power.
As stretched as power slotting for this archetype can be, at least it would give this power a use and function without the other powers needing to be remade or redone completely.

    3. With the form switching gone (the forms that are focus on range damage - nova and damage resist/protections - dwarf ), the damage resist shield powers and damaging powers can finally get the boost they need by upping the power values to balance out the loss of those two forms.

It is my belief, with these changes, this archetype could finally deserve its title Heroic Epic Archetype.
Ridiculous. Have you ever seen a WELL-played Warshade? Not an AE built, poorly planned WS, but a seriously IO'd, [human - too soon?], Warshade?

    Obviously, you haven't.
  21. I love my pure human WS - So much in fact, its the only toon I play now. I did take the forms, but only use the squid when Im +300% Dmg capped from Mires, and only use the Lobster when I absolutely have to, which is a always a toss up. You'll just know ;-)

As for the uselessness of powers...Inky Aspect rocks! That is your solo life-blood. An army of minions to slobber on you once you get close. I believe there is an IO set for Inky Aspect that aids in +10% Global Recharge, too? Pets! More powers! (I have 71.5% in I/O Global Recharge, perma-haste makes it 141.5%, all the time!)

Anyone that says we dont do damage should have their head examined. In boss AETs i do more damage than most of my team combined.

Mez reducers are not the way to go, atleast dont intentionally throw everything at just getting mez reduction. When you are perma capped at 85% resist to all, you can stand to be mezzed for .45 seconds more... (Recharge!)
