I finally finished my Human Warshade and wow I like it. When I leveled him years ago, I stayed in either Dark Nova or Black Dwarf form. I did that because when I leveled my Peacebringer in human form and never got a chance to use Nova or Dwarf. I spent the last week trying to figure out a build and on Friday I did a respec and redid my build. I never knew how fun a WS can be all human form. I spent all weekend doing missions and trying to figure out my attack chain and surprising myself. I even had time to get my first alpha slot. I picked up Spiritual Boost for the recharge and Heal. I was wondering if I should go Spiritual Core Paragon for the Increases Recharge Rate by 45%, Stun Duration and Healing by 33% or Spiritual Radial Paragon for the Increases Recharge Rate, Healing, Stun Duration, Slow Movement, and Jump effects by 33%. What do you guys think?

Does anyone have a bind to target the dead so I can set up Unchain Essence faster and be able to hit the "F" key (follow) so I can run to a fallen Foe to heal? I went through S.Joe's guide and all I found was binds to target alive targets. I didnt know if all I had to do was switch alive with dead and that would work.

Just wanted to post up my final build. It only costed me about 950 million inf since I am a IO hoarder and just pulled stuff off of other unused toons.

I've always clicked Dark Extraction to find a UE target since that power targets dead bodies automatically. I'm sure someone else could provide a bind though.

Would it be worth adding an Aegis: Psionic/Status Resistance IO to this build?

Also, how is Essence Drain when it is slotted up? Do you find you use it even thought you have Stygian Circle?

Ideally, the tank will die precisely as everyone else starts fighting, allowing aggro to be spread evenly among the blaster. -seebs, "How to Suck at CoH/CoV" Guide

Stygian Circle is my main and biggest heal. I just got Essence Drain so I can heal a little bit before something dies. I originally had Gravimetric Snare and never used it so I swapped it out for Essence Drain. Once something dies I don't find the need to us ED any more.

I have 3 Impervious Skin Status resist in my shields and i still get mezzed. I think I could swap out with the KB protection proc in Absorption for the Aegis Psionic/Status Resistance IO and find some other place to to slot a KB protection. I like to keep atleast 3-4 KB protection IOs per squishy.

I'm need to play with a human only build when I get home to MIDs. Is it possible to make a perma eclipse human only build with lots of def? I'm dreaming about 85% resist to all, ~32.5% def (S/L, Melee, Ranged or some combination of those), and sub 10 second stygian circle.

It is probably just a dream though.

The problem is that those IOs only give you status resistance not protection. Resistance makes the duration less, not like a mez protection toggle that tankers get to reduce magnitude. It's really not worth building mez resistance, either, because of the way the formula works.

If you somehow had 100% mez resistance, it would only cut the duration of mez effects to half.

Your best mez resistance is to sleep (31%). Sleeps last 75% of their duration on you.

Another change to consider is Combat Jumping instead of Stealth. You can still put a LoTG +Rech in CJ, and you will get better mobility with SS + CJ + Hurdle. And you get a bit more Immob prevention from CJ.

And, I don't know if this worth considering, but would dropping Neb Form and Essence Drain be worth substituting the Medicine Pool? Aid Self has some -Stun. I would guess it depends on how often you find yourself using Neb Form.

Superspeed is fine and if I need to jump over something I can switch to beast run and if I really need to jump far I can use Neb Form. Now if both of those fail I can always use Shadow step.

I was going to use Medicine, but the interupts suck if you in a mob so I took ED.

Not a problem. Very few people know how that particular mechanic works, in large part due to a lack of documentation on it.

In case you're interested, the formula is:

ModMezDuration = 100 / (100 + MezResist) * MezDuration

It's exactly like recharge. The value is in the denominator, so you get less and less benefit for each percentage point you add.

i'd agree with CJ. free lotg and/or kismit proc and it gives you alot of control for short bursts, it's nice for caves and stuff but not a must. it's also alot faster than having to cast shadow step.

also you really don't need medicine and I can't stand ED(heh) the damage is too low, the heal sucks and iirc it has a pretty lengthy cast time, which goes along with the set since basically every power has a 1.5+ cast time.

SC is up often enough to get a nice 500 heal off 1 enemy, that obviously varies depending on slotting and what you're healing off of but I find its sufficient enough to keep me alive.

and it's not like killing an enemy is hard, gravity well and shadow blast pretty much kills any minion or lt. on top of unchain and Extracted kill stuff you'll have plenty to heal off of.

Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.

After thinking about it, I do think it does make sense. When I get a free respec I will change that since I am not even using stealth. I might as well switch to something I can use.

I agree 100% that the damage for ED is horrible and that is the main reason I slotted with accurate Heal IO set only.

This. Otherwise, I believe the bind would be;

/bind [key] "targetcustomnext enemy defeated"

Oh snap...that would bring me up to 95% recharge; however since I did start the spiritual alpha slot and I will gain a bunch of recharge from there.

Not a dream at all. Perma-Eclipse is easy. I have 10 seconds to find more soon-to-be bodies before Eclipse runs out.

I have 30% defense to Melee/Ranged and 27% to AoE defense. With Barrier Core Epiphany, it atleast adds a constant 5% (Situational only when Clarion T4 is unnecessary) which brings it to atleast 35% permanently. The first minute it is extremely difficult to hit me, but even if they do... 85% resists!

Let the other archetypes clone themselves.
