  2. Super Strength/Ninjitsu Scrappers, please.

At high levels... scrappers really shouldn't be taking on an AV. That's normally the job of the Tank. That's also why you suddenly started face-planting more often, and probably have found it more difficult to land your defense boosting attack.

Scrappers don't have the HP, or the defenses, to take AV alpha strikes on a regular basis. Nor do they have the taunt aura's to hold an AV's attention. I've got both blasters and controllers that can out-aggro tauntless tanks and spines/fire scrappers.
Kindly stop posting misinformation, will you? I just did the entire A Hero's Hero arc on my Elec/Shield scrapper and tanked every AV for the team I did it with. Usually a single Luck was all I needed to be fine. Also, by the way, Shields and Invuln regularly rip aggro away from some Tankers. And Scrappers CAN take confront.

    Um... Melee?

Do note that Energy Manipulation can be excellent for a ranged blaster if only for the amazing Boost Range, though it doesn't come until 35. It does let you get Build Up nice and early though.

    Cheap shields?

Lucks are very cheap, and can be bought in mass all around Paragon. They will make your leveling experience so much easier. I've put a little bit of money into my Elec/Shields as I leveled her for cheap sets, Multistrike, Bruising Blow and stuff give some nice bonuses for leveling, or just used for frankenslotting, and can be gotten very cheaply, if you can find them on the market. So far, I really haven't had any trouble at all leveling and I've been doing tanking for full Task Force teams for a lot of the way up. I'm 46 now and doing Crimson's Malta missions at +0/x6 nearly effortlessly.

It's probably one of the most fun alts I've ever leveled up, and I've probably put less than 30 mil into her so far. I did kind of splurge and got a full set of ToD in the 30s, and I had a couple of Steadfast +3 defenses sitting around.
  6. So, anyone willing to read through all that for the maybe one or two new pieces of news?
  7. Curious. Why are you building specifically for SP?
  8. Zandock

    What's this?

I hate to be a downer, but 5 mil is probably not even worth the time it would take to sit around and be judged.

    Phalanx Fighting

Detectives introduce you to a contact after you complete a Safeguard mission. You could also go straight to RWZ or Cim and pick up the contacts there.
  10. I'm no expert, but you could probably save yourself a good deal of trouble and endurance by dropping the Leadership Pool and FA and taking Phalanx Fighting and Combat Jumping.

I mean, I don't want to reply unless it's the popular thing to do.

This thread is so popular, I'm only posting in it to be ironic.
  12. Hm, okay. Thanks for the info. I might need to throw another slot into CJ then for a Karma. Hopefully 11 will be enough.
  13. Probably something with Willpower or Regen. Not counting Stalkers, since they don't get QR.
  14. Specifically for fighting Nemesis on a SS/Fire. I currently have 7 points from a BotZ and a full set of Kinetic Crash. Is that enough or am I going to be flopping around from Nemesis wands?
  15. The thing is, DA doesn't offer any Smashing defense. So if you're capping S/L, you don't need to be using DA at all, and it's kind of defeating the purpose of being Katana in the first place. That's my take on it, anyway.

If the AV resists a certain damage type, it will also resist damage debuffs of that type.
  17. 91% accuracy is nowhere close to "capped." You can still miss mobs quite a bit there. I'm also a bit confused as to why you're only slotting up to three purples in a power. That's a lot of money to spend for very little rewards if you're not going for the big bonuses at 4 and 5 slots.

I don't think it could be categorized as useless, but it does take a slot. And if slots get really tight, it could be removed, but at the cost of the 6.25% global recharge.

I think the bonus on Entropic is better, but I'll look at Mids again to make sure I'm not remembering wrong, and that proc is my friend. Though both have the 6.25 after 5 slotted.
It's 10% chance for a 5% heal. And it doesn't average out to 2.5% per attack. You have a heck of a lot more than 100 hit points.

Edit: Okay, it actually averages out to 6.02 HP per attack. Which is still only .5% of your base HP, and not really worth the crummy enhancement values as far as my slots go.
  19. Unless you actually weren't on this person's team, I think he doesn't understand how the game works.
  20. Hope no one minds if I ask for a little advice here as well. Thinking about respeccing my SS/Fire so he can start doing Lib farms. How well do you think this build would do? I pretty much have all the pieces already, except for the Absolute Amazements and the Miracle.

  21. Really nice single target damage, subpar AoE damage.
  22. Just a quick thing I noticed, but Mesmerize and Dominate are Psy and have no Ranged component.
  23. If you're comfortable with the level of performance you're getting, then it was worth the money. There's no maxim that states that you have to have softcapped defense and a bunch of recharge for normal content.
  24. So, how do we request a sticky?
Nice work, Fury. These will be a great baseline, and it's awesome you took the time to put them together. I always knew I could trust Hikaru.
  25. A Noxious Gas that could be cast on team mates would be pretty boss.
