I know myself (on both my accounts) and two other players that are having the same problem.

Quote:Thanks to the delay in announcing the game going back on-line, some players took specific names of popular forumites on exalted, including my main (Snow Globe). The Live European and North American City of Heroes servers will be offline for an extended publish on Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
Start Time: 4:00 a.m. PDT / 7:00 a.m. EDT / 12:00 p.m. BST / 13:00 CEST
Expected Duration: 9 hours
Expected Finish Time: 1:00 p.m. PDT / 4:00 p.m. EDT / 9:00 p.m. BST / 22:00 CEST
This is for the implementation of Issue 21: Convergence and patch notes will be posted after the downtime.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience! -
Quote:I'll say this again: You'll either have to one of the following:Unfortunately, no. I won't spend $500 to get shiny wings. I want them badly, but not enough to spend the equivalent of the cost of a new computer on them. So, I won't pay. They won't receive the additional revenue they otherwise would if I (and others like me) were allowed to pay them for the new costumes.
- pay cash up front to get to Tier 9 VIP
- pay for a subscription over time to get to Tier 9 VIP
- do a combination of the two to get to Tier 9 VIP
Now, in the interest of moving this conversation along, what is your vet reward status? I can tell you how close you will be to your goal. -
Quote:They are perfectly willing to accept your money as payment for the Celestial Costume Set.And NCSoft pays the price by refusing to accept my money as payment for these new features.
Approximately you'll pay:
Tier 1: $0
Tier 2: Variable. Owning a Retail Code, or first purchase of Paragon Points.
Tier 3: $45 above Tier 2.
Tier 4: $90 above Tier 2.
Tier 5: $165 above Tier 2.
Tier 6: $270 above Tier 2.
Tier 7: $375 above Tier 2.
Tier 8: $480 above Tier 2.
Or you'll have to pay in time. Either way you pay. -
Quote:Great! You are monitoring/throttling rewards (MARTy) at the same time as trying to convince players to be more efficient at getting the rewards (Incarnate Reward Tables). As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that City of Heroes remains an environment where everyone enjoys a safe and fun online experience we will be introducing a new anti exploit detection measure in Issue 21. Wed like to take a few moments of your time to answer some questions about this new system, MARTy.
What is MARTy?
MARTy stands for Metric Activated Reward Throttle (Y? Because exploits are bad!)
Good job at sending mixed signals! -
Why does it seem I'm choosing the lesser of two evils going to the dentist at 11 am for a possible root canal?

Quote:Because that law is a federal law covering sweepstakes in Canada.I didn't have the energy to comb through all 11 pages to see if anyone commented on this but I noticed this in the CC Winners Form Exibit B
CANADIAN RESIDENTS NOT FROM QUEBEC! To claim your prize, you must be able to answer the following question correctly:
12 x 10 + 4 = (please provide answer)
I had a good laugh which was then followed by confusion. Is this a Canadian thing? Why is there a math bonus question on the Winners Form? Someone explain this to me please because I am amused/confused and need an "OHhhhhh, THATS why!" moment...for closure.

Quote:There is only one thing I can say to that:Since announcing City of Heroes Freedom we’ve been extremely excited to share all of the new features coming with Issue 21, one of the most exciting being the Paragon Rewards Program.
We’ve fielded several questions over the last several weeks about the Paragon Rewards Program, one of which being about how Paragon Reward Tokens are awarded for players who purchase Multiple Month Subscription plans. Our original design, and what we’ve been sharing, is that VIP players who purchased multi month subscription plans would be awarded all Paragon Reward Tokens at the time of purchase. Unfortunately due to technical limitations that we have been unable to overcome, this will not be the case. Instead, VIP players who purchase multiple month subscription plans will receive their Paragon Rewards Token each month on their billing cycle, at the same time they receive their monthly allotment of Paragon Points. Please note that Paragon Reward Tokens granted by the purchase of Paragon Points will grant at the time of purchase.
We do sincerely apologize that we were not able to launch Issue 21 with this feature and will continue to endeavor to implement it in the future.
Pancake!

I would have gotten the Celestial set day one, now I'll have to wait 3 months, as I can't afford to buy any points beyond my subscription. -

Why? Nothing I've read indicates any alignment restricted badges for Issue 21.
-
Quote:I will point out that with the currently known prices, the above statement is wrong.Controller, Mastermind, HEAT & VEAT Archetypes unlocked 1000 & 800 pts respectively
Controllers: 1,200
MasterMinds: 1,200
Peacebringers: 1,000
Warshades: 1,000
Arachnos Soldiers: 1,000
Arachnos Widows: 1,000 -
Quote:My second account was due to get its 3 month Veteran Reward on September 20th.Seen a few people talk about this and wanted to share it with everyone. The new Token system awards a token for every Veteran badge you have with the yearly badges giving two. The 13th of September is when Issue 21 goes live.
Here's the problem: People that were very close to receiving a new Veteran badge, let alone a yearly token, get a short end of the stick.
It would be nice to get an extra token, but I don't expect it.

You know, I'll go one step further than the others: Your argument doesn't hold water to our monthly subscription. We're paying real money (at least I hope we are) for virtual items that we will never own/touch/see/smell in the physical, real world. Same goes for any expansions (CoV, Good Vs. Evil, Going Rogue, and any of the boosters).

After much grief, I'm in the "done club" until Tuesday.
I don't have Bug Hunter, Passport, and 3 Vet Badges. -
Well, the core group + PUG Keyes on Triumph has finally got some players the MoKeyes.
This group got "Loves a Challenge" tonight.

The somewhat core group: White Succubus (myself), -Michael, War Witch, Lady Arcana, Caravan, Blondeshell, HotPepper, and Scarlet Evans.
We did 1 badge per run over almost 30 runs. Anywhere between 3-9 Keyes every weekend (split between Saturday and Sunday nights).
This particular set of runs we had only team 1 attacking Anti-Matter. Team 2 had hospital duty, with HotPepper calling out AM's health & obliteration beam times. Team 3's only duty was to heal anyone disintegrating or getting hurt and to NOT attack AM.
We didn't restrict people from flying, though those flying did so fairly low. Without the full league, it was easier to see the obliteration beam (though some players did get caught in it).
Edit:
There are a number of people I've done some of these badges with since the beginning of August, I intend to keep doing Keyes badge runs until they get the badges as well. -
I wasn't intending to. Sayaki was running these.
Team 1 was the only ones attacking AM. Team 3 were healing only. Team 2 were in the hospital, with HotPepper/Smexy calling out the obliteration beams (5 seconds before they dropped).
Team 3 stayed out of sight to avoid getting caught in the initial attack from AM (the cause of the first run's failure). -

Thanks to this group, Triumph has finally got people with the Master of Keyes badge.
For those that haven't got the badges, I (and others from this group) will help out.
Thanks all for the last 2 months at these attempts. -
Posted this in your other thread, and didn't see this one, but:
In February 2005, they had a buddy code give-away that new players could use instead of a retail purchase of CoH to start an account (15 days free, could continue to subscribe without a retail box).

As far as I can determine, this sheet has the list of everything associated with the various packs/boosters/expansions:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...3U3NNRUE&gid=0
Note that it lists the Super Tailor as a Powerset, given that it is the same price as a new power set.

Forumer's name? Sheesh.Quote:If you're at least tier 8 VIP, you get 550 PP free every month. Check out <insert forumer's name here>'s guide to the reward levels. Long as you're not interested in the powers, it's definitely a net win... even if you're not interested in some of the powers but are in others (i.e. I already have the GvE Jump Pack... I don't really need a second!)
