I'm not colorblind or anything, but perhaps my vision issues are playing a part in why I am unable to see a different color bookmark. The entire thing looks one color to me. Oh well.

Some arcs don't matter and some do. You *used* to be able to tell the difference - some were gold coloed books and some were red. I believe the red ones you could have as many open as you wanted without consequance. The gold books you could only have up to 3 open at a time, locking you out of any further arcs.
These days you can't tell what is a gold and what is a red. At least...I can't.
A couple of your arcs will likely have to be completed first. As for which ones...? You're going to have to guess.
I had to do that with mine, I finished the two closest to completion and then went back and tried to speak to him again, and this time it worked.
You're going to have to complete the arcs one at a time and go back to the mender each time to see if that's the arc you needed to complete. -
I got the same "error" on one of my 50's when I had too many arcs open. I didn't have any active missions, just too many arcs open at once. That might also be the issue.

It sounds like someone has taken internet friendships seriously, where other people did not.
I have also had that problem. For me a friend is a friend, end of story. Many people on the net don't feel similar (this is coming from personal experience) and won't care one way or the other if they plain ol' turn into a jerk, or they never speak with you again. I've had both happen.
But I agree with a few others that have already said that if you need convincing to continue playing, then it sounds like you may want to move on to something else for a while.
And if you made new friends, why would you have to "leave them eventually?" A true friend is just that, a true friend. A true friend will interact with you outside of a game setting, you know...e-mailing or even skype if you became exceptionally good friends.
However, if you want to stay in game, try migrating to another server. I don't know where you are now, but Justice is a great server for the most part. My husband and I would be happy to play with you and add you to global. -

I am not sure where, but I am leaning heavily towards Triumph, based solely on the fact it's my ride too. But I'd like somewhere open to RP and PVP and everything.
I'm not suddenly planning on abandoning Defiant, far from it - but if I do make a 2nd home what're your recommendations?

I think I will be rolling a toon or two on Defiant, maybe one on the german speaking server so I can practice the language, which I am teaching myself. =D -
I usually fortune everyone on my team that doesn't have one. I don't think it's anything that requires asking first. If they don't want it, they can always click "no" or do nothing at all and let the time run out.

Justice, which is the "unofficial" Aussie server. 11pm - 4am for me, is 4pm - 9pm for them. My husband is a night owl and he is sometimes gaming till 4am. He usually gets on missions teams or just runs TF's.

My first toon was a triple fire blaster over on Guardian. She was my favorite for quite a while. After about three years we left that server and made our home elsewhere. I used to always play blasters, I could barely get into anything else. I *forced* myself to play a tank to 32 just to prove I could "do it." I hated playing tanks...tedious...boring...
These days I barely play blasters, tanks and controllers having taken over most of my play time. I have several tanks I enjoy immensely, like my lvl 50 elec/fire/mu. My up and coming elec/elec at 44, and my dark/fire and fire/fire, both in the late 30's. I don't even know how long its been since I've played a blaster!
And my new "main" is my plant/rad/fire controller. She is literally something else! I used to never play my 50's. Once they hit that number then they were shelved. I play Autumn almost every day because she is just so fun. -

Several months ago we had to pull a faulty ram chip. I was crashing literally every 5 - 10 minutes until we figured out the issue...which only took about two weeks. I could barely play as it was, but had I had to wait 20 - 30 minutes for those files to verify every time... I'd still be sitting here waiting. =P
For some people its convenience, it has nothing to do with "whining* once they've gotten caught. We don't do anything here that we could get the smackdown for, anyways.
I'm sure someone will come in and tell me that skipping the updater is all sorts of wrong and evil or something... >.>
Ever done day job switching on 256 toons before? I used to do it once a month. These days I've tried to log out to character select to make things easier, but that doesn't always work. So...more like logging out every 1 - 3 minutes, depending on how far I have to take the toon in question.Quote:Originally Posted by BrandX

Yes, I am one of those major alt-o-holics...probably in need of a program or something.
And there have been occassions where I don't know what I want to play, and am alting about every 20 minutes because I can't stick with just the one character.
I find the whole - you must click this everytime - thing a litte annoying, but its certainly not going to kill me. -

I mean I play a Plant/Emp for heavens sakes, and I usually hate being Mr Heelor or Mr Buffbot but it's just a fun, fun combo which attracts teams (who probably expect me to heal them, not realizing I much prefer buffing myself and the rest of the team off their sorry corpses instead. I do rez them afterwards though and lob Godmode their way next time it's up).
Not everyone is going to like the same things. I love plant, but I don't like playing it on a dom, no idea why, I just don't. And I didn't like my plant/emp. Again, the guy asked for suggestions and I gave one. -

Our two plant toons duoed the ITF in a little over an hour with NO temp pets or temp powers lilke nukes. I have played plant doms before and know what? I can't get the darn things past lvl 15. I took one to 22 when I gave myself a little PL with my other account, but I just do not enjoy playing it.
That plant/rad of mine.... <3 I play that 50 all of the time because its so fun, and I like controllers more than I like doms. Your friend could be the same way for all I know.

Let me start by saying that I generally don't touch my 50's once I get them there. I prefer creating and lvling toons, though I do have the VR slot on my favorite toon, which took me 6 years to find.
A plant/rad/fire controller has becoming my most favorite toon out of every single one that I have. She has stackable creepers, stackable spirit tree, perma AM, and 7 seconds off perma hasten.
Even without those things she (was) is a lot of fun to play. She's the only 50 I bring out on almost a daily basis because she is just so fun! Highly reccomend it. -

The vast majority of what's in the trailer seems to be previously usable costume pieces. Like the eagle for example which has only a new head and feet. The rest comes from the Valkyrie pack, clockwork bits etc. I think even some of the animal patterns can be used already as well. Even monstrous hands. That leaves heads, tails, and feet. I guess we'll just have to see.

Oh, and to the people calling others a liar in this thread, why would they lie about getting the pack? The store *was* up this morning with the animal pack ready for purchase. I wasn't able to buy it though. My husband is still asleep and I wasn't about to just take his debit card and go to town with it. =P -
He can use his plant troller, and I can use my SD/Elec scrap that is built to within an inch of her life.
Or I can use my troller and he can use his awesomesauce brute! -
I had something similar happen before. I was out of sync with the rest of Paragon, stuck in Skyway with no way to get out. The trams wouldn't work, and the tunnels leading to different zones wouldn't do anything; I could run all the way through and hit the back wall, when I should have zoned!
I logged out and then tried to log back in. Nothing. I couldn't log her in again at all. A GM had to move my toon to another zone to fix the issue.
That's likely what is going to have to happen here. Hope it gets resolved soon.
