This sums it up well for me.

Also, this discussion went so well last time(Sarcasm), I am not seeing it going so well this time.

    Claw/DA

Hey, would you guys mind sharing some of your IOed Claws/DA builds? I am not looking for anything in particular, I would just like to get some ideas, and see if there is anything that really tickles my fancy.

I am leaning towards a heavy +def build because the character is a ninja (go figure )I am very new to +def builds, so I could use the help.
  4. Great post. Th reason I want a human form buff are silly, and selfish. I spend a ton of time on my costumes, and I want to see them.

This is well written, and thought out. I do hope Castle takes a look at it. I feel that the desires of the PB community have been ignored for a long time. The excuse that "Epic" meant epic story were blown out of the water with the introduction, and power level of the VEAT.
  5. I am still hoping that DB gets access to the unlockable gladius that BS gets. I am all for more, I think weapon customization is one of the greatest features ever added to the game, and I would love to see more done with it.

As someone who admins a busy forum, I understand the behind-the-scenes work that goes into keeping paying customers in line. If you don't want the bother of maintaining a system, don't turn it on. Especially when it comes wrapped in yellow CAUTION tape with a big warning label on the latch.

Not how I would have put it, but yea.

  9. I think this is one of the best posts I have seen in a while. I wish you luck in people taking you up on it.
  10. I think the better solution would be to sell mass server transfers. At discount prices for those on low pop servers. That way moving is optional, and not forced.

I have played on Triumph since launch, and it is pretty dead now. I have moved to Virtue because it is pretty easy to get a team there at all hours of the day. I am moving my characters one at a time as I have the money.

It would be nice if I could buy say four moves, and four additional slots on the target server all for one low price. Or let me move the purchased slot (well over 20 purchased slots on Triumph) with the character being moved.

I will still keep characters on Triumph, because I have friends there, but I realize most of them play at night, and I am a day player.

  12. I dislike the system and turned it off. Mostly because I have seen its abuse on boards where everyone knows each other RL.

It seems like a system that begs for greifing. Then the Mods are shocked that it is used for that? Seems a bit short sighted to me. If they pulled the original star system, why stick something in place just as bad if not worse?

I think a karma system would have been better. Where to give negative Karma, you must spend your own karma to do so.

There are posters I have disliked for years, and still do. I still have not taken the time to give them negative rep. Why bother, what do I gain by being a jerk to some guy/gal I will never meet?

Being able to turn it off is the only reason I still use these boards. For those who like it and want to use it, more power to you. I am not perfect, and don't want to be harshly judged for my imperfections, so I will refrain from doing it to others.

    The forgotten

    Custom weapons, and their unlocks.
  14. Here is one with soft capped (w/ hover and parry active). Not saying it is better, just offering up for perspective. The build is with me as a 60 mo vet, little creative swapping around of power selection can help that. I do not have PP, but at 41 my end is not so bad, and I think it will be even better when I have maxed the build out. When things do look ugly on the blue bar, I just hit conserve.

    No "More"

I would like better dance emotes. Something like Guild Wars has.
  16. I am still not sure how they thought adding a rep system back (was stars before) to the boards was a good idea. I am yet to see it used for much more than greifing on any board I use. I run a game of about 80 people who all know each other IRL, and they still abused the rep system we had on the boards, I have seen what people will do with it who never have to face each other.

I had decided to refrain from ever using the boards again, until I was told I could turn the option off. I like it off, and still think the mods should remove it.

Sorry for the snark, but that is how these arguments have sounded for a long time now.

I think a paid booster pack is the way to go.

As for the 60 mo badge, so far on every build I have done, I still end up taking hover, CJ or hasten for the +rech and the +def. The other temp powers are good here and there, mostly in the lower levels.

More costume options is never a bad thing though. I am surprised there aren't different versions of the vet costumes in the game already.

As for wings, get the Valkyrie pack, the wings in it look better to most people. Shorts, yes more please, I would like to be able to apply patterns to them.

I see both sides of the argument. I like the system because it rewards loyalty, and that just dosen't happen enough in the world these days. At the same time, I see the desire for those spiffy costume options. So, go with a paid booster pack for the costume options, and leave the vet stuff where it is.

Some of the things offered here I would be very annoyed if it were swapped out. Screw AE slots, I don't want that. What we could use is more costume tokens, Respecs, Temp powers with little effect (love the rune of warding from Crotoa), merits, salvage, and a long list of other things.

All in all, I doubt it changes.
  18. Stuck it there too. Didn't see it before posting this.

I would be happy if they could just add a weapon location for the current lvl 30 auras. I am sure it is easier said than done, with the varied size and shapes of the weapons in the game. It came up in my global chat today, and I wanted to share the desire for it here.

As I also sai there, this was a great bit of tech, and I would love to see it used more. Adding new weapons, and ways to customize those weapons seems like a great idea.
  19. Auras for our weapons. I want a flaming long sword! Other than that, just more. This was great tech, I just want to see more done with it.
  20. We would still like to be able to add auras to our weapons, well I would like to any way.
  21. The thread Werner linked is a great read, and one of the most well written guides I have seen. I managed to get to the soft cap with my build in all but aoe w/o CJ, or Hover. With those two I can hit all three (according to mids, as the toon is only 34). I can say it (Shield) is the most frustrating set I have ever played. It looks great, but has very poor performance till about 30, post 30 it has been great.

This set to me was a late bloomer, but really fun and challenging.
  22. I am just hope some of the nay sayers are still around to see the fruits of your labor.
