I'm going with the Axis invasion theory, the only issue I have is why would the 5th be "grateful" for being arrested if their counterparts are coming, I though they all craved Axis Amerika.

I'm pretty sure it was only that rogue Oberst (forget his name) and his followers that wanted to go there. It seems like the 5th col is a pretty diverse group, despite its facist ways, there was even a mission where some ubermench actually wanted to let crey study him and his comrades didn't like it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Uberman! I remember that guy, he "found his new home" with the Crey=)
I had just assumed all 5th wanted in on the Axis from the convo's in the Oberst mission, but you might be right that it was only his small band that got all excited about the prospect.

One Arc the leader of the 5th helps you prevent the Axis take over of America to secure his position at the head of the fifth column. I don't think the 5th, as they are now, would welcome Axis Amerika in Paragon with open arms. Unloaded arms, but not open ones. -
Oh, and most of the invading Rikti ships were dropped in the ocean via Statesman giving them a push.
Issue #3 = more Rikti? -

They did mention underwater levels in the past, didn't they?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes they did. Back in '02, way before the game was going to see the light of day. -

The increased aggro is something that's close to implementation....The increased damage has proven a tad problematic, but we're wrestling with some ways around it. I'm afraid I can't give anything definite there.

Lol, half my SG's Tankers just took out Provoke in Respec and took Taunt instead with the idae that this would be out soon. Please make it so!!! :-P Meh - actually, take your time. It's fun watching the Blaster run around going "help!wwwwwwww " and the Defender spam healing him like a mad man. -

Fine, Statesman, but how about the mission I had today (1 hour timed) to take out Sidokan and His Coven with my L18 Energy/Energy Blaster. The overall mission not too bad in spite of a number of +1 Astral Followers until I got to the Boss (+1 RED) who cast stuns and holds in chains so that the toon could not move, run, attack or anything until dead. He died twice trying to take the boss out and finally gave up and let the mission time out. I have done this mission before Update #2 with other alts and never had this kind of experience. Bug? I have petitioned it.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is a bug. Petition away - though we're working on a fix.
Oh - forgot another change - shrunk the size of wandering patrols.
These are most certainly reactions; had we seen this better on the Training Room server we would have changed each and every one.
[/ QUOTE ]
Statesman, you might as well face it. People like to complain. You could play the game for them and they'd still say it was too hard. Meh... I think the fixes were more than enough.
Man, I haven't see you have to post the same thing so many times before.
PEOPLE, STOP HARASSING THE MAN. HE HAS UPDATE #3 TO THINK ABOUT!!! -
I like the idea of less XP per kill and much large groupings of MOBs.
Statesman said 1 hero = 3 minons
How about that scales based on level.
L01-10: 1 Hero = 3 minions
L11-20: 1 Hero = 6 minions
L21-25: 1 Hero = 9 minons
L25-30: 1 Hero = 12 minons
L31-35: 1 Hero = 15 minions
L36-40: 1 Hero = 20 minions
L41-45: 1 Hero = 25 minons
L46-50: 1 Hero = 30 minons
XP rewards could be adjusted accordingly, based on the assumtion. That way herding 100 minions for a 3 Hero team isn't too far off the mark. Besides, I love being able to eliminate 10-15 Crey solo at L30. -

LOL I'm sure it'll come as a great shock to Poz that he's a female.

But Positron is a "she", no? -

I sent in some more measurements. Until we get Vennom to update his list or dispute my results, a temporary update for the following powers:
-1,46 Arctic air
-0,59 Quills
-0,47 Tactics
[/ QUOTE ]
Quills has to be higher than that. With Quills going (and no other toggles) my 6 slotted QR (6 DO, no SO yet) doesn't keep me fighting very long. Quills feels close to Integration than that. -
IMHO, Gravity is the best Controller primary. 'Course I play a scrapper - so I see things differently. Gravity has three advantages from my perspective:
1> Seems like Gravity's AoE lockdown recycles faster.
2> I can easily tell which mods are locked up and which I need to "kill" first.
3> Gravity powers bring down flyers.
Pets aside, Gravity has some great powers for dealing with "uber" mobs. Wormhole is cool. Gravity Controllers can place the LT back in the Burn Tanker's Patch, or in the middle of a large group for AoE assaults. Propel is damage light for sure, but keeping that Storm Shamen on his butt helps the Blasters a ton (I have moble status protection, so I don't care) - not to mention it knocks those darn Sky Raiders (yeah, A few can fly) down to earth. Actually, most of their powers do this - which helps us ground bound people.
Pets? [censored], all of you Controllers suck (in the "I'm so damn jeleous" way). I want pets! Those darn things kick serious butt.
Force Field is cool too, but the KB powers are beyond annoying - please for the love of god dont run into a pack of MOBs and Repel them all! If you're going to make a Controller, I beg you: PLEASE TAKE KINETICS. I'm such a Speed Boost Junky!!! Please....!!! -

The way it was explained to me is that anytime you open the client and modify any file in an unsanctioned way, you violate the TOS. Even if you are just photoshopping a pic or turning off a sound, it is a violation. We cannot and will not condone violating the TOS on our boards.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just as an FYI Cuppa Jo, people are generally adding NEW files in a separate folder (i.e., maps and blank sounds). They are not actually modifying, opening, or touching the original files in any way. In other words I can make a map from scratch, in Photoshop, and put it in a folder which the game can see, and I haven't modified ANY game data. None. Zero. Zilch.
Now of course you guys can interpret the TOS however you see fit. Microsoft routinely includes things in their TOS which would never be enforceable in any court of law. However, it's your game and your playing field, so if you say we can't discuss making our own maps here then so be it. I just think it's important to clarify that things you're calling "mods" aren't actually modifying any game data.
[/ QUOTE ]
But you have altered the end product of what the software produces - ie altering the software. You don't have to actually affect the code or resource files to alter software. Anywhoo, you can do it, you're not supposed to, so you can't link to the changes from their web site. Fair enough. -
Another way of looking and ENDRedux ENH is (with SOs):
1 = -25% end cost
2 = -40% end cost
3 = -50% end cost
4 = -57% end cost
5 = -62% end cost
6 = -66% end cost
As you can see, your return on investment (ROI) really falls off after 2 ENDRedux ENH. This is true with any power in the game.
With Range ENH (I thought they were +33%, but we'll go with the original poster's +20%)
1 = 120%
2 = 140%
3 = 160%
4 = 180%
5 = 200%
6 = 220%
Not a bad ROI after all.
So lets assume that you'll put in 2 ENDRedux and 4 Range ENH:
END Usage per port = 9
Distance per port = 180 yards (540 feet)
or 60 feet / endurance point
1 ENDRedux + 5 Range = 53.33 END / port
3 ENDRedux + 3 Range = 64 END / port
4 ENDRedux + 2 Range = 58.33 END / port
SO, 3 and 3 is your most efficient ENH setup.
Check my math, but I think I'm right. -

Ok, now I gotta go buy a stop watch. I can work on US, TI, Invincibility, and Fly. Though with 4 slotted Stamina it takes 3 to drop my END so I don't know how useful of a number it'll be.

Could you give some description about how to format the demo file? Suppose, just for the sake of argument, that I wanted to do something totally nutso crazy like creating a demofile from scratch. What do the commands look like? How are they laid out? How many parameters does each command take? And so on. Could you give a couple examples of what a demofile looks like?
Also, are there commands that will move the camera? Panning, zooming, tilting, etc?
Also, rating this thread a 5, cuz it deserves notice.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suggest makeing a demo file of your own and learning from it.

newb = newbie
lowb = lowbie
<zone abbrv># = for instances of zone. (ie. SC2 = Steel Canyon 2)
skittles = inspiration (also matched with a color, ie blue skittle = catch a breath)
crack = City of Heroes (as in "another crack fix tomorrow night?")
run = all non Tankers run (tanks will run later) personal peve -

You can still get the bow and arrow animation by using the fancybow emote while any weapon is visible.
Question: In the quick menu, under combat, is an entry titled Come Get Some! It features a taunt that continues after the initial critter beckoning with your character punching his/her fist into his/her palm.
I tried taunt, taunt1, and taunt2, and none of them feature the fist into palm animation.
It sounds like taunt1 used to, but apparently it was changed...Does anyone know the new emote to get this animation playing?
[/ QUOTE ]
Taunt1 does work. You do the typical Tanker taunt then pound your fist. Atleast it works for my Tank. -
Moving Hasten to the last power in the Super Speed set makes more sense than reducing the effectiveness of the power. I suggest to the devs that the END cost be moved upfront (not after the power expires) and it's time be reduced to 5 minute recharge. That'll give us 2 on/3 off without ENH. 30+ level heroes should be able to keep it running 24/7 if that's their hero design.

Why are you sending tells to youself? Do you talk to yourself often? Do you respond?
