Autoreply Bind

I would like to know how to make a message for an auto-respond bind. How do you go about doing that? I can make binds, but the message part is a problem for me. Help?

try:

/bind <key> "autoreply <message>"

/autoreply does not appear to work. The command does nothing. Has it been disabled?

I desperately want a "I am too busy to respond to your Tell right now." autoreply macro.

Anyone get this to work?

I too would love to be able to do this. I have spent about a week trying to figure this one out. but no matter what i try i get that "this contains x args". If anyone has figured this out by all means please share.
having to hit backspace and then type a sentence, while i am in a battle or trying to have a conversation with someone, just doesnt cut it.

Cant test this myself right now, but what about /bind key "autoreply$$Busy right now"

The autoreply is a a valid command, just dont know if it accepts any arguments.

Autoreply doesn't accept any arguments, unfortunately.

I can't figure out anyway to make this work.

The game should use one's AFK message for autoreply.

Yeah, had trouble making this work too, and gave up back in the day. I DID create an autoreply bind using my Logitech G-15 Gaming Keyboard that works great! It made team builing way easier. However... now, as of I7 at least, we CAN create such a bind. Try:

/bind <key> "reply This is my message text, buddy!"

The "reply" command can not reply to global tells, only tells from players on the same server. So it is more limited than the "autoreply" command in this respect (autoreply recognizes global tells), but since you wouldn't typically be sending standard reply messges to people on different servers, it works out fine!

Guys....

Just type /afk <message> to set up autoreply.

I like the ability to hit a key so my AFK message pops up at will, so I created a bind to my Enter key as follows:

/bind enter "afk I'm taking a break$$startchat"

It displays as the AutoReply as well whenever I'm typing at the moment someone sends me a Tell.
