I know I would notice if my Rad/Son Def's wasn't working properly. I love the slow that LR gives. I haven't played her in a while, though, so I couldn't say if it's working one way or the other for Defenders.
-
I'll just add in that going for typed defense can be a lot easier when you're working from a base of pretty much nothing. Softcapped S/L defense is going to protect you from a lot more attacks than softcapped melee defense.
-
I'm just surprised you called Stone Spears not the worst Assault T1 power.

Quote:Considering that "villain side" is open to all ATs, I don't really think that's the case. Even just considering the basic Villain ATs, Fire/Psi can't really compete with the top tier Brute farmers after the Psi Assault changes.a fire/psi Dom is great for PVE content 1 of the best farm builds on villain side.
Edit: That's not to say that a Fire/Psy isn't still a great choice for general PvE use. -
Yes, it negatively effects fury generation. Is it enough to really worry about, especially if you have a lot of incoming attacks? Debatable.

"Nuke 'em til they glow, then shoot 'em in the dark" And of course it had an image of Iraq. I just felt sorry for the guy.

Power Siphon is amazing. I picked it up on my KM/SR as soon as it was available, and I have yet to regret it having just dinged 25.
As far as the stacking goes: Each KM attack has a tertiary effect which adds a short damage bonus. These bonuses only activate while you have the Siphon Power active, and you can have up to five of these bonuses stacked at one time. The T9 attack for KM, Concentrated Strike, has zero chance to critical. Instead it has a chance to instantly recharge Siphon Power. Note that Brutes and Tanks don't get this instant recharge chance. -

In preparing for i19 I'm trying to take my favorite character up a notch and cap out her DDR. From what I've gathered, this entails slotting three membranes in Active Defense and being able to constantly keep it double stacked. I just can't seem to make a build that manages to keep myself softcapped and has enough recharge to keep Active Defense running as much as I need it to. Would any of you gurus out there be able to provide any tips or examples for getting this rolling?
Just to give an idea of what I'm working with, I've got about 2.5 bil on hand and the current build looks like this:

I had a Fire/Rad bug type character before. With some careful coloring, Fire Control powers can be made to look like some very convincing swarms.
-
If you want to be looking up any of the game's lore, this is a good place to start:

Welcome to the game, now is a great time to be starting. -
-
Not to mention, Kinetic Crash has some very impressive set bonuses for such an inexpensive set. You do lose out on some damage enhancement if you want that 7.5% rech, though.
-
SS/Shield Brute might only have two PBAOEs, but it's going to be getting the among the most effective AoE damage. KO Blow and Gloom give you nice ST damage, too.
-
I'm going to clarify here that you're probably talking about Combat Jumping. Hurdle is not a toggle, and can not take any set IOs.
-
Just putting some research into this as I round out one of my characters who's been neglected for a while Wondering what the rech requirements for this chain are. Tried searching around a bit but only found numbers for the mega billion extreme rech chains and one BF-Sweep chain.
-
Hm... looks like with my current build that even if I switch over to Hecatombs in Incinerate I'm only able to get it to about 184% rech in it. Guess I'm sticking with Incinerate-Scorch-Cremate-Scorch for now.
-
So, what kind of rech do you need to run Cremate>FireSword>Incinerate?
