Pretorian Day Jobs

I am having a difficult time finding day jobs for my pretorians.

Is there is a guide or link that can give me some pointers?

For example, Commuter should earnable at the CTA. Nope. Well maybe if you are resistance you need to go the Underground Railway. Sorry, nothing there either.

Auction house. Same story.

I am sure that I am missing something simple. But so far, Banker/Thief & Caregiver/Pain Specialist are the only ones I can reliably find.

I Know some wil not be possible. Monitor duty, Midnighter, etc just because they are not in the zones at all. But Professor, Law Enforcer, Commuter, Day Trader and maybe City Official should be.

Maybe some of these will be fixed once they raise the cap in Pretoria to 30.

I'm not sure there are any "Praetorian only" Day Job badges so there's no need to stay in Praetoria just to get a Day Job badge. I think the assumption is most Praetorians go to Primal Earth so you'd get them there. Once I19 hits Primals will be able to go to Praetoria so it seems likely there will be a means to travel back and forth whenever we want.

I guess someone could come up with a "all the Day Job badges you -can- get in Praetoria" list but it apparently didn't seem to be a priority. *shrugs*

It's only an issue for me because of the way I play my alts. I have 60+ on multiple servers and a toon can sit idle for a while.

So I like to move them around for day jobs. As long as they are idle they may as well be earning a dayjob badge so when I do get back to them, they might have a nifty dayjob power. I basically start them dayjobbing as soon as I create them. Usually, not a problem but in Praetoria it is a little more confusing because locations that should award badge credit don't seem to.

At first I thought that it was alignment specific Loyalist/Resistance. But that's not the case either. I suspect that it has to do with Hero/Villian alignment but really, I have no clue.

PS. Yes, I know I mispelled praetorian in the title. No coffee this morning.

Well there should be no dayjobs in Praetoria that cannot be earned on the red or blue side of the fence on Primal Earth. Likely a Praetorian can get them on Primal but perhaps the names of the badges will be Praetorian names.

I'd still like to know why Praetoria's totalitarian police state doesn't offer either equivalents of City Official or Law Enforcer for Loyalists or their analogs for the Resistance. I suppose there are barriers to making it work in the lore, but if VEATs are able to infiltrate the "Destined Ones" program, then falsifying employment records at, say, the PPD should be a doddle when Praetorians move to Primal Earth.

Then again, why, in addition to transit workers and day traders, does Emperor Cole bear such animus toward tailors that Praetoria's only sartorial professional is forced to carry on her business on a street corner and no-one is allowed inside her store to learn the workings of the trade? (Perhaps the Tyrant wants to have only title in Praetoria that begins with the letter "t"?)

I don't know about Praetorian Day Jobs, your job is Powers Divisions and you enforce the government the peasants do everything else in Praetorian Culture.

I'm having the same problem since I play a silly amount of alts too and I have 4 toons parked in Praetoria, all of whom I'm sorta waiting on my free Stamina before I play. I've almost filled out my day jobs for the University, Hospital & Vault. Good to hear you can get the Pocket D & Base Portal jobs in there too--how exactly do you access those, btw? Studio 55 in which zone?

Update - I discovered that resistance characters can get Day Trader from the market located in the resistance base in Imperial City. Still haven't been able to get Loyalist toons to get credit in the Trading House. Maybe something to do with the power supression?

The day job recruiter also lists Tailor but I can find no place that gives credit.

Update: Removed Day Trader since even tho' it shows the icon is there no credit is given.

Not sure if it actually grants the tailor day job, but there is a tailor in Imperial City.

I tried getting it by standing next to the tailor but nada. I didn't really think it would work though. Standing next to tailor doesn't grant credit blue or red. You have to be in a shop, unless someone knows different.

I'll have to check. The last praetorian I was using for this has left for Primal and I can't remember if he has spent any time at went's. I will update as soon as I can get someone in there.

Update: OK, I checked the guy I was using and he had zero badge credit. So that means it doesn't award progress and he has spent no time at wents. I will fix the list.
