Quote:Beat me to it. CS seems to crit often from me too. I did one pylon run where it seemed to constantly be up.This is before taking into consideration Concentrated Strikes' critical recharge and activation time for Power Siphon, right?
I have a habit of saving BU on characters, I feel more comfortable dropping PS because of the chance for instant recharge. -
From what I say on test just now, the female toons make out like bandits. There are either more, or much better costumes for female toons in this pack.
I will purchase it anyway though. There is enough in there that I like, and I want to support the company. -
I have tried to play MA/* multiple times through the years. As a RL martial artist it seems that I should like it...but I don't.
I agree with Billz though, it works well with WP, even then I ended up with at least 1 -end in all of my attacks.
What is worse, is I have never been able to put my finger on what I don't like about it. I had thought the addition of punch animations would help, but it didn't. That may be because those animations suck.
Really, if KM had a few kicks it would make a better MA set. -
Quote:Here, my pylon time is 2 min and 55 seconds with this build. I have no survivability issues, unless I take ambien before playing.I was going for Single Target DPS, CS is nice for burst, but doesn't help me there if I couldn't fit it
Not a cheap build, and there is no focus on def, so it may not be what you are looking for.

Quote:This is the point I have been having a problem with for some while. I agree with you Des.Which I believe was Werner's point. No one is saying defense doesn't help.
If you can soft cap a resistance build with no sacrifices, then by all means. It's the notion that anything less than soft cap on a resistance build is some how less survivable that's in question.
The problem is there are some truly gimped builds out there because people were seeking the soft cap. There is a KM/EL on on here now.
I have had my rant about this several times, and I see no need to do it again. I feel Def is good, but not at the cost of what the focus of the set is. -
This is one of those things where I am lost as to what you were attempting. You skipped the best attack power in KM.
It appears you were shooting for the soft cap, and shot yourself in the foot instead. -

Hasten....Please!
Auras on weapons would be great.
The FX on the temp power rune of warding is amazing anything like that would be great.
I am sure I will have more to add to this thread before it is over. -
Look at the drop down. You can choose the old kick, or the new punch for most of MA's attacks.

Quote:I am running the same setup Sam, and have the same problem. I will be upgrading my video card again this year in an attempt to hit full ultra mode potential.Speaking of no shadows for the invisible, I find it supremely disappointing that there are no shadows for capes and equivalents. I mean, we see them in real-time reflections, but not in shadows? The result is that my cloaked assassin who normally has a long, flowing cape behind her has a "naked" shadow with huge shoulders because the High Collar Cape collar still casts a shadow but the cape doesn't.
Also, "double shadows" over water are really distracting. As we all know, most bodies of water in the game have a "floor" that's about four feet under the surface to simulate... I'm not sure what. Deep murky water without having to render a bottom and apply effects. The problem is that when anything casts a shadow over water, it casts one shadow on the surface and one on the very obvious floor.
What is really frustrating is I purchased that card because it was what was suggested at the time ultra mode was released. -
I have been playing KM almost exclusively for the past year, starting in the GR beta. I love it, and would say it is one of my all time favorite scrapper sets. It is a good combination of fast light attacks, and slower strong attacks.
The animation length just seems long because of how much movement there is.
With the recharge I have PS is up more often than not. Not so much because of how fast it is recharging, but because of how often CS is up.
I have not really seen a difference in team or solo. Like any scrapper set, if there is someone on the team with a ton of KB it is frustrating. -
Quote:I really wish they would throw some elementales in there. Something like the gremlins in Nerva, or the minions of Igneous. Some of the things mentioned:
More of the magical origins of Praetoria, along with the Carnival of Light, will be addressed in Issue 21.
They "absolutely" plan on reusing old zones (such as Boomtown) for the new storylines.
New lore pet trees are coming before Issue 21 (presumably with the new trials), and include:
- Arachnos
- Carnival of Shadows
- Nemesis
Powerset proliferation for Issue 21 isn't official, but they are trying to get something in there.
Those were most of the major points I can remember. Might be glossing over some stuff, though. -
Quote:My first character on the live servers was actually Sub Zero. Hey, I like Mortal Kombat!
You know, this is so why scrappers should get ice melee/ice armor! My current KM/ElecA was inspired by Raiden.
My very first character was claws/sr and based on a Hero System character I played for years. Made it to lvl 16 on Justice...I slotted brawl...
Then a friend convinced me to move to Tri because it was a smaller server. That is when my namesake spines/regen was made. The goal in costume creation was ugly. I had the bioorganic costume set with the massively ugly bone spines. Wow that was such a fun character before....well you all know what happened to regen. -
I have a 45 BS/SD and never could get into it. I will comment on one thing the others have not, and that is aesthetics!
BS/SD allows you some of the most awesome item customization in the game. You can do anything from the energy tech look, to the classic sword and board look. It is nice.
MA/SD is an end hog (anything MA is imo) but it gives that really nice Cap/USAgent feel. I have seen some really good ones too.
The others listed above are great in all the ways others have mentioned. I just think the above look the best. -
1)Power Pool Customization. If not the whole thing, the just hasten...please.

Can new content ever come soon enough?

There are ATs other than scrapper? I missed those some how. It is been a great 7 years, here and there I have attempted to play other ATs, but I always find my way back to scrappers.

Quote:I was on a BAF on Vir last night that was just like that. With my DB/WP scrapper: one very rare, 13 rares, 26 uncommons, and two commons on [mostly] BAFs before yesterday's patch.
After yesterday's patch: one common.
If I had to choose between committing seppuku with a spork from KFC or going through that sort of mind-numbing lagfest again for anything less than a Gladiator's Armor unique, I'd pick the spork.
So far I have had 2 vr drops, 3 or 4 rares, 1 thread (I DCed twice), 1 or 2 commons, and the rest uncommons in over 100 runs. that was all before yesterdays patch.
Since yesterday I have had 4 uncommon drops. Which put me at 6 of each uncommon stored up. -
Hey guys, I wanted to see what the incarnate trial drop rates have been like for you guys. I have been running on my KM/ElecA, and my DB/WP, and now have 6 of each uncommon saved up on the KM/ElecA, and have just given up on the DB/WP.
How have the rates been for you guys? -
I got an uncommon on every run I did after the patch. I was on my KM/ElecA scrapper. I promise I was participating.
I hate this reward system so much that it has tainted the rest of i20 for me. I love everything about it. The trials, the powers, the TF, shoot I even like the story. Hate may not even be a strong enough word.
The crafting cost makes it even more painful. At this point I have 6 of every uncommon saved, and not enough inf to craft them up. That is really frustrating. -
How about a with skin option for Bioorganic Armor from the mutant pack? That was requested many times. Or maybe allowing some of the awesome Ninja Pack robes to be worn with robot arms?
Like Sam said, I hope this is something you guys plan to keep doing. -

The story the Devs write is secondary to my character's personal story. I approach this like a Table top RPG, in that my character does these things for his own reasons.
So, no the story doesn't bother me. If I have a character that wouldn't do something, I don't. -
Red side has never been as popular as Blue. I am in PI tonight and still seeing broadcasts for teams.
