Kinetic melee
I found the set to be very fun as a soloist (I paired it with /inv). When I started running the toon with my group of friends in TFs, my opinion slightly declined. The set is fun, but by design, it's not that great for teaming.
Not having a critical on CS isn't that big of a deal because of how hard it already hits (especially after a fully ramped power siphon).
The set can sometimes feel a bit weak when power siphon isn't up, but it's still pretty awesome. It pairs fairly well with everything too, synergy-wise, it only really stacks -dam with /shield, but any secondary will do just fine with the set (it's a good set to have both high or low recharge, they just build different ways).
I hate to be the bringer of bad news... but Willpower sucks!!! you're better off rolling a regen

Better on stalkers
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
I hadn't really thought about that, it does seem like a pretty freakin good set for stalkers. Don't have to worry about ramping up to do effective damage, BU coming back all the time, you get to keep burst, and lose the cone.
Hell yeah, that's a good mix.

It's still good on a scrapper, but the only set it feels odd on is /sd. The animations turn into one handed versions and it really throws it off. I will agree that stalkers likely make out the best with it, but the Ice/km sounds interesting. *sigh* I might have to roll that at some point. Tanks are using Quick Strike anyway for bruising so might as well use it first for pumping up PS's buff. Color KM as blue and it also fits with Ice.
One thing I hear a lot is that KM's animations are long. In reality it's animations aren't, but because of all the fancy motions it really does look and feel longer.
I have a KM/SR Brute based on a speedster concept and she is fun to play. She's been on a back burner for awhile though.

I have been playing KM almost exclusively for the past year, starting in the GR beta. I love it, and would say it is one of my all time favorite scrapper sets. It is a good combination of fast light attacks, and slower strong attacks.
The animation length just seems long because of how much movement there is.
With the recharge I have PS is up more often than not. Not so much because of how fast it is recharging, but because of how often CS is up.
I have not really seen a difference in team or solo. Like any scrapper set, if there is someone on the team with a ton of KB it is frustrating.

Tried a few KM scrappers but never really found it to be what I wanted on a scrapper. With all of those new server slots to play with I'll probably try and Elec/KM tank though.
I do not scrap, or do so very rarely. But when I saw this set come out it seemed like it was custom made for Scrappers. How does it actually play? Is the concentrated strike recharging the Buff better? or is critical damage on that missed? or does it depend on if you are running a high recharge build?
