2 things you might try:
-Change your angle to look underneath the room and try to grab it from the bottom. Then slide it out of the wall while holding the mouse button
-or-
- go to the current room tab and select it there. Then either delete it(if it is empty) or try to grab it(while it is highlighted) and slide it out while holding the mouse button.
Both of these have worked for me in the past on different things. Good luck
Edit: When you slide things out of the wall sometimes you have to slide them into a different room to get them to move. The room will ofcourse need to be able to have a storage item in it. -
End redux in the upgrades
End redux in the summons
+recovery from the set bonuses
a blue inspiration or two after your initial summoning or pet wipe.
Right there are 4 things that make your end problems much more manageable.
You only have to do a "full" summon once, unless you die, and that I would think would usually be sometime before you are in mission and the team is waiting on you.
Summoning 1 or even 2 tiers of pets with both upgrades ,to "refill" your horde, should not be killing your whole end bar. If it is you have slotting problems. -

What are you gonna do with the other 351 character slots?
(11 servers x 32 slots = 352)
(or is it 36 slots for 396 total? arrrgghh math 'r hard for me!)
Seriously, we have enough character slots to make several of everything(if you buy them all on every server. Yes I know it's alot of money) and no character is ever a waste. Even if you didn't have spectacular amounts fun you still most likely learned something new about the game that you can use on future characters. -
I've run my rad/rad on many many ITF's and LGTF's and other than being just a little short on damage output ( I slotted heavily for debuff in both primary and secondary) I still have lot's of fun with him. I play short range with choking cloud and my offensive PBAOE(the name escapes me right now). Usually right near the brute. Maybe my teamates are just being nice to the slow kid but I have never gotten any complaints.
The main problem I have is having my anchors live long enough on teams to feel like I'm doing any good. It's not a bad problem to have -
Quote:They announced it would be out on the 28th here=http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=218560Just a question... when is issue 17 coming out i brought the GR to play the demon summoner and it said april release and it gettin very close to end of april will it come out in april or release with GR??

Quote:I follow this policy in my bases also. It is the primary consideration in my layout. After that storage/crafting rooms and then everything else. Most of the people in my sg's/vg's use the bases because of the ease of use. Having to go through 2-3 "fluff" rooms to get to the teleporters and crafting table sends up with everyone going to Steel/Cap for their crafting needs, Oro portals for their zoning, and all my base building work is wasted in cyberspace.Sounds like just poor base layout.
My bases have the Teleporter rooms located close to the base entrance. It makes it so much easier to run to quickly when I use the base to get between zones.
That being said I have seen a few bases that looked like they were put together by an epileptic on crack. (whether purpose or just lack of caring is involved I don't know) -

There was an announcement the other day about them testing a new server tech on the EU training room. Hmmmmm....

My 1.5 cents:
Many have suggested that tv ads are too expensive. What if you used a barter type system to offset the costs? CoX gets an add on (insert regional market cable channel here) and said cable channel gets an add for one of their shows on our in-game billboards (fine tune the graphics and make them always on).
Start with smaller market channels and work up to networks(we could only hope!). There would still probably be some cost(due to market size differences) but it would seem to me that this would go a long way towards making it more cost effective.
This would kill (or at least wound) two birds with one black pebble,...er stone. The CoX brand would get out to the public and you could expand the pool of in-game adverts to make them less repetitive to the players.
Oh, and put me 500th in line saying to hire Samuraiko to do your promo videos! Every video I have seen of hers has blown the official ones away (the I17 trailer almost brought a tear to my eye)
Just a thought. -
hmmmm..... my BS/SD goes from 36/48/46 positional to 36/45/45 (plus or minus a few tenths here and there)...........eh,could be worse.

I don't know about with a DP but I like choking cloud on my rad/rad. I play him pretty close in anyway and the +2 hold lockdown proc has hit often enough to make it useful in crowds with multiple bosses.

Quote:You have at least looked up the word Villain to see what it means right? It's the Villains being selfish, wanting exclusive stuff instead of helping Heroes for the common good
...and I will be very happy when we get new arcs on both sides in I17. Heroes were my first but Villains are my true love. -
Quote:This is the main reason that Red side rarely(if ever) gets any new content. Everytime the conversation about it comes up the blueside only crowds starts crying about Co-Op this and Co-op that with lots of arguements that boil down to "well, if they are going to get stuff redside we HAVE to get stuff blueside too".Well, co-op is actually the best option time and effort wise - co-op content can be played by everyone.
Next comes blue content, which can be played by the majority of the players, and last comes red content, which can be played by a minority of players.
So the best use of development resources is to make co-op content, followed by blue content, with red content the least useful option.
Of coruse, they still make red stuff, but I really don't think they're ever going to spend as much time on that as blue and co-op stuff.
Maybe if Heroes were not so selfish we wouldn't have a problem. -

Quote:If I remember correctly don't the contacts you get correspond directly to your origin even after your first few in Atlas/Galaxy?I try to do this but on some of the zones the bank missions keep opening up the exact same contact every time.
I believe I was told this a long time ago and have gone down to the next origin on the list(from the previously made character) every time I make a new character because of it. -
Quote:No problems, wish I could of helped more. I agree with you about the customization 100% and I hope the tank works out for you.Now come on Dave, if all i had was 8 characters after 6 years, It'd be like not playing the game at all! lol. Those were just some of my latest creations. The game is so very fun because of the shear capacity of customization options.
I appreciate the post though, unfortunately I've arrived at all those solutions already, including purchasing all the boosters and doing all the TF's i could muster.
As I write the post i'm creating a Stone/Stone Tank. Looks interesting. =D -
That is all you have after 6 years!!!
(Concentrating on 1 or a few characters is cool, it just always surprises me from 4, 5, or 6 year vets)
I had almost that many on my first day. There are so many possibilities even if you don't role play. Unfortunately boredom hits most all of us at one time or another. There are a number of things you can try:
1) create unfamiliar AT / power combos (your apparent choice)
2) Spread out to a different server. New people to play with often reduce the "staleness" of old previously tried combos.
3) Run through contacts in zones you don't usually do. I find myself getting in ruts as far as which zones I level/play in. I have to force myself to go to galaxy/striga/founders/ or whatever zone I haven't played in a while. The little things you find in out of the way places go a long way for keeping the game interesting for me.
4) <last resort> take a break. A week, A month, 6 months, or whatever you need. I find after taking various voluntary and enforced breaks the character ideas start flowing back in like sweet wine.
Since none of that really answered your question, here is my opinion. Blaster, energy, fire, or electric (anything but the weapons sets). Lots of damage(and kb with the energy) and lacking just enough survivablity to make it stickys sometime on whether your about to fill a hospital bed or not.
That is just my 2 cents with out knowing anything of your playstyle. What you find fun and exciting maybe completely different from mine. -
My 2 cents:
I have an Ice/Storm controller in the low 40's with fly and he feels windy even without tornado and Hurricane(playstyle choices). Artic Air has a constant wind noise to it and gale/shiver are wind powers if there ever were any.
He's a fun character now but he was very painfully slow going for the first 32 lvls mostly solo. If you team alot or don't care about pace after 32 is cake.
A bit of an end hog too, but you can slot accordingly for that. -
Uberguy, while what you are saying makes sense and is true, would these techniques not drive the average price up over time?
By having a controlling percentage of the available stock "price set" by one person after a time about the only low end sales you would see would be from someone just dumping something to get rid of it.
I would think the average person sees the hi's and low's and splits the difference when setting their prices(speculation on my part). This would run the flipper either out of a job or into extravagent wealth, depending on the amount of free money in the market and the perceived value of the item.
Obviously this is the challenge for the flipper. Only working something JUST long enough and moving on. The overall inflation that would cause seems like a negative to me for the whole picture.
......of course just looking at Smurphys examples again shows my thinking is off on how the average person sets thier price(unless those are all his sales)
EDIT: I understand mostly now after reading the last post. After I grease the math wheels in my head a little more I'm sure I'll understand all of it. Thanks for the explanation guys. -
Quote:I have a question about this. In your 2 examples it showed one bidding and one for sale with several sales happening over a 2 day period and you having a large stockpile bought.
Thus by flipping I made the "lowest low less low"... or at the release of Issue 16 prices didn't fall as much...
and currently I made the "highest high less high"... or prices aren't rising as high as they would have.
I am not the most market savey(spelling?)person around but this appears like total price control by one person, not just the highs and lows. While this is obviously good for the stock controller I don't see how it is good for the market as a whole. You could inflate/crash the prices as you see fit. You could not create a total monopoly because you can't control the source but your whim could/would definately control the overall price for a time, Yes?
I'm in no way upset that you do this(not that I could do anything about it if I was) but I fail to understand how having one person controlling trade of a wanted item is good for an open market.
(Sorry if this is a threadjack) -
Quote:- Ear Disruption, which has the character fly to the target's head, disappear, and appear to cause internal ear damage to the opponent
You would have to be carefull using this one. If they had the unique lvl 51 enhancement "EAR PLUG +DEF" slotted your damage might be negated completely leaving you open to an attack.
