Just curious. I am loving my rad/rad corruptor. Is he going to be as useful later as he is now? I am thinking mainly of the de-buffs. Will characters with IO-maxed resistances to things like defense debuffs just shrug off the offensive toggles?

I would love to hear from someone who has made it to lvl 50 and into end-game.

ty guys.

edit: My corr is about lvl 30

If you have Radiation Emission, either primary or secondary, no one cares what your other set is, really, just so long as you keep Enervating Field & Radiation Emission up and spam Radiant Aura & Lingering Radiation.

I've run my rad/rad on many many ITF's and LGTF's and other than being just a little short on damage output ( I slotted heavily for debuff in both primary and secondary) I still have lot's of fun with him. I play short range with choking cloud and my offensive PBAOE(the name escapes me right now). Usually right near the brute. Maybe my teamates are just being nice to the slow kid but I have never gotten any complaints.

The main problem I have is having my anchors live long enough on teams to feel like I'm doing any good. It's not a bad problem to have

Yep having the same trouble with anchors. Is it possible to tint the anchor differenty to the others? Can I have most of the effect green and the anchor red?

Hmm... I don't know what the damage cap is but will I get the full benefit of AM + Aim + Soul Drain (the patron power) before I hit it?

For Corruptors, the damage cap should be 500%. This includes the 100% base damage of your attacks, and the ~95% damage you get from slotting it up to the ED cap. Therefore, you have room to benefit from around 300% extra damage buffs before hitting the damage cap. Even with fully saturated Soul Drain, you will still have plenty of extra room for more damage with all three of those listed buffs active.

Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.

Thanks!

This character is just getting more fun as time goes by. I am alternating between this corruptor and my higher-level scrapper but leaning heavily towards playing the corruptor usually.

My Rad/Rad 50 spends a lot of time gathering dust these days, despite being my first 50. It feels far less fun than I am looking for - too much time toggling high end enemies so that they won't instantly kill me, only to get mezzed and having my toggles thrown off like they were nothing. Too many toggles (including the patron armor toggle and Choking Cloud).

I hate soloing my rad/rad corr.

Rad/ as a primary attack set is a huge disappointment to me. Radiation Blast sounds awesome and deadly doesn't it? Instead, it's Weak, Slow and Unexciting. The secondary effect of Rad attacks doesn't seem to have any discernible effect, because weakening Defense only makes your hits more certain to hit. If you have enough accuracy on your attacks in the first place, you don't need -def. Frankly, it's a crap powerset, and it needs to be re-examined

/Rad the secondary is of course most useful and a great debuffing set to have on a team, although a well-constructed team won't really need your non-healing help until you run into the AV or Hero or GM at the end.

I've had this toon since i7, so maybe I am jaded towards it, and maybe I just need to invest in a ton of expensive IO sets, but as a vanilla SO enhancement slotted toon, it's been a disappointment for a long time. My 50 Earth/Storm 'troller, now that is epic fun and chaos right there.

Usually, finding which anchor survives the longest is a matter of watching what the team kills first. I've found that there are a lot of times where you just have to tell them to watch out for the anchor. Some listen, some don't.

Too many alts to list.
