It's probably worth re-evaluating Lore pet DPS rankings if what you're interested in is maximum DPS performance.

What game has designers helping you get the best mini-maxi numbers?

    Thanks, Hawk!
  3. The problem with Scrapperlock is that non-Scrappers act like Scrappers have the free will to avoid it or something, "Read your chat!! We were going to stop here and buff up, you moron!!!" Yeah, who's the moron there?

So, I propose this as the unique Scrapper inherent: Scrapperlock.
With Scrapperlock, when 80% of a spawn is defeated, the Scrapper's chat window is removed from the GUI and the Scrapper is teleported to the next nearest full spawn generating a 30 foot AoE taunt. Let the Emp Defender finish off those bosses, that's what they're there for.
Oh, and a version of Scapperlock should be ported to Brutes, Tankers, Stalkers, Blasters, and all Epic ATs.

  5. Just went into Echo of DA to test this, I got 3 Converters:
    • After 112 defeats off of a Lt.
    • After 369 more defeats off of a minion.
    • After 489 more defeats off of a Lt.

It is most likely a bug.

That would really make some trashable enhancements much more desirable.

There are VIPs who have said in this thread they haven't had to pay anything more than their the $15 sub fee for all the power sets. They used their VIP Paragon Points, which they got for free, to freely obtain those sets.

CoX had a major attraction and that was the 'all-inclusive' price. Now that's gone out the window...
Subscribers had to pay for CoV to use it its first few years. Subscribers had to pay for Going Rogue to use it. So, it's indeed a fact that not all content used to be free to subscribers.

And what content is now gated away from VIPs? That costs more to obtain? Are you counting costumes and certain powers? We used to have to pay for booster packs, remember?

It is a FACT that not all content was pay-one-price previously.

It is a FACT that VIPs are getting more now than they did previously:
    • Full access to the game: VIPs don't have to pay for Preatoria, but previously, subs did
    • One free stackable server transfer per month for VIPs, but previously used to cost $10
    • 3 free Issues a year which still includes new power sets -- the same
    • VIPs get a stipend to buy even more stuff than what was in booster packs; previously, you shelled out at least $30 for what came out in a year in boosters.

There should be a uniformity with pricing, VIP's should have different rates on top of what you quote to be a discount as the 400 is more of a Thank you for staying VIP. That would be like going to a club and reserving a VIP table but you dont have to pay for the 250 dollar bottle of booze as a minimal to get that booth, could be a bad example, but I think you know where I am coming from with using it.

I fail to see how VIP's actually gain from this. I would have rather seen them provide us with an option as to what we want our free set to be versus them picking it for us on top of the price uniformity. It's sad as I am sure you admitted the same thing that a vanity pet like the little green fellah that did not drink green beer and puke rainbows cost as much as a new powerset for a very minor inf buff, then we get other pets that cost 600, 400 and w/e else and they are much more of a liability with detoggling toons of their mez defenses etc, but their abilities are a bit more useful.
I can agree with you that the handling of pricing and decisions about what goes to Market can be improved.

However, I was arguing against the point that VIPs should get all powersets free otherwise our VIP status means nothing. VIP status means picking out for free a good chunk of extra content at no extra cost as well as still enjoying the 3 no-extra-cost Issues.

Out of curiosity, where do you see the dividing line for this proposed "subscription discount" ?
When you qualify for 550 points a month, that's a 150 point month discount for being a long time Vet.

It's already part of 'the plan.'

    No.

The Points you receive are so you can get the extras at no extra cost. With the Points they give you, you can get 6 new power sets a year at no additional cost. Plus whatever extra free stuff is in the 3 no-additional-cost Issues you get.

You're getting more now than you did before.

But they're producing more stuff on top that than they've ever done before. If you want it all, you have to pay extra... like you did for Booster Packs.

VIPs did *NOT* lose anything in the shift to FREEDOM, instead, they *gained.*

    That point is a fact.

The effects of a Boost are character bound, like many other effects in the game whether earned in-game or bought.

Is the inability to pass off a Shivan Temp Power to another player a *Money Grabbing Scheme*?

For these two, you have to accept the mission, and then leave Ouro via the portal to Peregrine or Grandville, and then walk to Dark Astoria. A minor inconvenience, but still potentially annoying.
Unless you have a Flashback Crystal in your base with a (new) Dark Astoria beacon and telepad.

Also, all the DA arcs in flashback require you to have done them first regularly.

  21. So, both Epharm Sha (blue side) and Maharaj (red) have 8 repeatable missions. The mission select window pairs them into 4 recurring paired selections, e.g., "Good Intentions" is always paired with "Ritual Knives". If you don't care for the pair you're currently given, then as soon as you chose one from the pair, you can then immediately abandon it for re-rolling for a different pair.

All maps are either small or very small cave. Or they are small or very small office maps with up to 3 floors. Anyone with Reveal and or a memory can quickly find and Stealth to the mission objectives. No mission is a kill-all. At +3 Incarnate level, Stealth really isn't necessary because your foes will be doing negligible damage.

All spawns at the minimal level are simply a Lieutenant with one or two Minions. Many objectives have an NPC dialog 'tell' which helps one find them right away.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that these all can be very, very short 'stealthable' missions. The reason to do that is to get the the reward table at the end faster.

    The reward table includes
    • 10 Incarnate Threads on a 20 hour cool down. During the cool down, you can still get 1 Thread;
    • 2 Reward Merits on a 20 hour cool down. During the coold down, you can still get 1 Merit
    • Super Inspiration

The following are the paired missions and their objectives and my best time in seconds:

    Ephram Sha:
    1. Good Intentions: kill the spawn near 3 civilians, 75 seconds.
    2. Ritual Knives: click 3 glowies and kill ambush, 75 sconds.
    1. A Shelter in the Storm: kill the spawn near 5 wards, 125 seconds.
    2. Thinning the Herd: kill 3 'boss' spawns, 80 seconds
    1. Prying Eyes: lead escort to objective, kill 3 ambushes, 220 seconds
    2. Enemy of My Enemy: kill spawn near 3 NPCs, 65 seconds
    1. Blade of Another Name: kill end-room 'boss' spawn, 30 seconds
    2. Ancient Souls: destroy object, kill ambush, 60 seconds.

    Maharaj:
    1. A Little Less Fame: kill end-room 'boss' spawn, 45 seconds
    2. Death's Toys: click 3 glowies, kill ambush, 80 seconds
    1. Armor of the Soul: escort to door, 85 seconds
    2. Death Magic: lead escort (who can be recaptured by foes) to target, kill ambush, 165 seconds
    1. Allies and Anchors: kill the spawn near 3 anchors, 90 seconds
    2. Culling the Competition: kill three spawns, 120 seconds
    1. To Catch a {character name here}: destory object and spawn, kill ambush, 90 seconds
    2. Two Birds: kill spawn near 4 Tsoo, then go back and kill the 4 Tsoo, 195 seconds
So, for each pair, there is an option to do the one that is 90 seconds or less. Or you can keep re-rolling to grab the 30-45 second mission. So, with an average mission time of 90 seconds and 30 seconds for travel, you can complete the missions at the rate of once every 2 minutes.

It would be more proper to say converters don't change their trading status because Boosted IOs are semi-character bound (if you trade them to another person, the boost is stripped). You can convert Boosted IOs and they remain Boosted IOs and, thus, semi-character bound.
