I'd say that if someone got you the shirt, people have noticed. You might want to shoot for the "Captain Showers Regularly" shirt for next year.

actually my daughter got me the shirt and she's never seen BBT

I'm know for my tie dyes myself, used to collect them casually when in high school, so now they are kind of my calling card. and yes, both Hawaiian shirts and tie dyes should be useable shirts ingame.

it is annoying that police detectives get Hawaiian shirts and we do not

you can't make a proper Magma PI without a Hawaiian shirt (a blue bulky shirt with red cheetah print kind of works)
