The ideal build tends to be a mix of Sets and frankenslotting tailored to the playstyle of the player.

Get Mids and throw up a build for us so we can see where you are okay, where you need help, and and get an idea of where you see this character going. In my opinion refining a build that way is better than just handing you a canned build that may or may not fit how you play.
Also download Titian Sentinel. This will allow you to be on a character and then get their build that you are actually playing and put it into a format for Mids.

    Def question

An Ice/cold has enough debuffs to cut down incoming damage as well.

HBO, Showtime, A&E, FX, USA are all putting out better products than the networks.

I miss the days when they actually would give shows time to find their legs. Some of the best shows started out rather weakly, and were given the time to find their voice and their formula. Networks don't have the patience for that anymore, and the quality of programming in general suffers for it.
See Seinfeld as a perfect example of this.

  9. Invul is better on a brute, but that's about the only advantage you would have with what you are doing. Without the AoEs, a scrapper is better. Spin for brutes was tweaked to where it's better than the scrapper version. Scrappers due better ST damage with Claws. Claws on a scrapper is also faster so that gives you the play style you want.

I would take FU because you really would be gimping yourself at that point. It's bad enough you are removing the AoEs, but skipping FU will be cutting into your DPS as well which means you aren't moving so fast between mobs. This says nothing of what powers are you taking in place of all of the skipped Claws powers.

I do find /invul as a slightly odd choice for this. /invul benefits from bigger mobs, but yet you are taking away your AoEs. /sr to me is a better match for a Claws buzzsaw.

This. After reading that the rewards would be for both parts I was rather disappointed in getting the bonus just on the first one. If we have to run the other part on a different day, then say so.

The fact that you say you "never die...much" pretty much proves it's not the safest opener. Tar Patch does very little to change the amount of incoming damage. DN, FS, HT, and even casting Fluffy in a middle of a mob will be far safer.

I haven't had In and Out, but Five Guys is pretty good. Culver's is around Wendy's and fairly decent. Steak and Shake though, um no. It's way too thin and I have to get a double just to make it worth it. Best burger I have had is from Miller's in MI though. It's a local place that has a line out the door, no menu unless you ask for it, and it's just a plain no window building. It's always considered one of the best in the Detroit area. The double meat is one part burger heaven and one part you fearing the future heart attack. In all honesty, if I can cook a burger on my grill better than you, your burger isn't really that good. Sadly that can be said for far too many known burger places.

+1. I don't see the need to test Freedom. That was unplayable on a basic level. Attacks could be timed in minutes and not seconds. Attack chains? You mean for the whole 3 hours? Rubberbanding was rather epic since I would rubberband 5 times on the same street and it was annoying even when you decided it wasn't worth and tried to leave. That was, in a word, brutal.
  14. I would never roll a BS/regen and skip Parry. You would in a sense be rolling a gimped Axe/regen.
  15. Try posting with the Fruit Salad color scheme, or something that shows up better on the forum. I would weed through the build, but I'm out to get food. Here's the OP's build in easier to read format.

Just remember how long it took the devs to change the controller epics even after the initial beta when people were saying the epics blasts where doing too much damage. I think it was like 6 issues between the changes.

As a personal with altism, I pause to say what those two were because three come to mind. I'm thinking between Axe and Mace with Shield just because I have done neither primary and they would look good with Shield. I lean towards Mace since it plays faster. SS/shield because I wanted to do that, but I wanted it heroside and then I got distracted with other builds only to never roll it even after we could switch sides. I made the tank version and like it to where I may make the exception of playing nearly the same build twice, but the cost of IOing the build makes me not want to do it twice. DB/fire is a recent idea just because the Vanguard blades can be colored to look like fire swords and I just think of it from a pure look would be pretty sweet. I have yet to play FA so there's the attraction of playing something new as well.

  19. I'll just toss out there that it could be Tsoo as well since the sorcerers use Hurricane, but yeah, the CoT LTs use a toggle tohit debuff that is a bane of many players. I've fought bosses that were less trouble.

Suffice to say I am quite pleased I've never been on one of your teams. In fact, teams run by people like you are the reason I stopped joining teams at all.

I only run teams now, and they're run by my rules:

Any build, any budget, no exclusions.
I'll vastly agree to this with one small side note. Leechers will be talked to and eventually kicked if they don't get in line. I VASTLY don't look at people's builds, but one attack power Emps are rather likely going to hear from me if I find out that's the way they went. I won't kick them for their build, but they will get info. I just can't see how somebody in the days of inherit Fitness take only one attack.

Since this isn't being covered, I'll add in my two cents.

FF stands out on bad PuG and loses value on more polished teams. The problem of the current game is teams tend to be built "for Dummies." The mission is set at the level of the mission holder. Players equal, or above the mission holder are set at the level of the mission holder. Anybody below the mission holder is set at -1 to the mission holder. What does this mean for FF? It virtually idiot proofs PuGs. Secondly, a wide amount of missions on teams are set to +0 difficulty. All the more so if it's a TF/Trial since people want to speed through them. Again, this means the high mitigation of FF is deemed less valuable. Third, with IOs being used the value of a FF defender soft capping a team is lessened due to characters being soft capped already, or at least partially. This means another set like Cold would be deemed more useful on certain teams.

The good news is the players on the forums where the min/maxers tend to live are a fraction of the actual player base. For every character who is soft capped via a build on the forum, it means numerous ones out in the actual game aren't. Oh, and the soft cap is normally 45%. In two of the new trials it's 59%. Suddenly soft capped builds aren't. Builds that were "close enough" within 10% of the cap, or now off by 24%.

In my own personal opinion, I find FF kind of boring to play and limited. I thought that before the "current state of the game." Considering I was thinking this when you were having fun, I would imagine you would still have fun now. Just note, most of my 50s wouldn't have been rolled if I listened to the forum.

I've probably never wanted to like a build more for it to not be something I liked. I'm tempted to reroll it as a Ice/kin tank for the potential -dmg it could put out.
  23. Swap out the Immob chance for damage proc in CC and put in Posi's proc. The Immob one really doesn't fire often. Trust me, on my next respec it's getting moved.

+1. The only time we well know is pretty much in a issue overview that mentions it, or if you are in a beta for the issue it is coming out in. I would say how long to took DP to go from whiteboard to official, but then I'm sure my number would be off. It was multiple issues, so I wouldn't get too excited yet.
