I found that DM/FA Brute also make great farmers with soul drain stacked on burn its a awsome combo and also with the right farm mission

It is good to hear you're having fun with it.

Numerically, SS/FA is better. Brutes gain 8% damage bonus per target hit with Soul Drain and can hit a maximum of 10 targets for an 80% damage bonus. Many AV fights will lack the additional targets needed to saturate Soul Drain due to team members killing the adds. Most high-end builds barely get Soul Drain's recharge close to the duration of 30 seconds. Rage gives 80% damage bonus and can be double-stacked with the same amount of recharge bonus required to have perma-Soul Drain. Some people don't like Rage crash, so Dark Melee is an alternative even though it lacks a decent AoE attack.

True but i now have the incarnates to help with alot of buffs and damage pyronic is like having inferno on a brute but DM makes it a challenge to stay alive also and i like that

Dude's talking about his brute and why he likes it, seems legit to me.

If a person doesn't like the Rage crash, they could go with Claws, Kin, or DB so they get at least get roughly the same AoE of Dark if not better and having a similar lingering BU type of power. What makes Dark standout is Siphon Life and another end recovery tool. It makes /fire being a squishier set more sturdy as where none of the other sets do.

Been tossing around the idea of another brute and Dark/fire lingers there, but I just haven't made one. It would rank third at best currently.

What are considered the top 2?

Just a slight nitpick...

Soul Drain has a +40% base damage boost, then gains an additional 8% per target up to 10. For a total maxium of +120% damage boost. Not +80%.

Plus.. double stacked rage also means twice as many rage crashes. 20s of no Damage per crash.

As a personal with altism, I pause to say what those two were because three come to mind. I'm thinking between Axe and Mace with Shield just because I have done neither primary and they would look good with Shield. I lean towards Mace since it plays faster. SS/shield because I wanted to do that, but I wanted it heroside and then I got distracted with other builds only to never roll it even after we could switch sides. I made the tank version and like it to where I may make the exception of playing nearly the same build twice, but the cost of IOing the build makes me not want to do it twice. DB/fire is a recent idea just because the Vanguard blades can be colored to look like fire swords and I just think of it from a pure look would be pretty sweet. I have yet to play FA so there's the attraction of playing something new as well.
