    ES is better single target damage for an attack chain. I went with PR however since I think the animation looks cooler, the cone is fun, I only had room for one of the two and the damage difference isn't really that noticeable when I'm damage-capped due to FS. (Mine is DP/Kin )

    Yeah, on my DP/Kin I went with Scorp Shield. It won't take long to go Vill side, do the patron arc (Mako's is the shortest), respec and get your epic shield then return to Rogue/Hero. If you really like the toon and play it a lot then 8 days (2 for each change of alignment..Hero back to Hero) isn't too long.

    This is also assuming you level your Corr to 20, play it up to 41, then do what I stated above. Or you could just play up to 41 as a villain, then switch..

    Yeah, true about Rebirth.

    I took Aid Self on my Fire/Cold and it's not hard to get off mid-combat if you really need too, I actually find it quite useful in sticky situations. And it's worth mentioning it isn't actually that often.

    Cool, I think if I went Clarion I wouldn't be able to resist the perma 120 second T3/4 one, so I wouldn't go for the +Range. It just seemed a little boring to me though since it's what I go for on most of my ranged/controller/support toons.

    Hey guys,

    I'll be unlocking my Destiny slot very soon with my Plant/Storm. I've always really enjoyed this toon and it has been no exception on all the BAFs and Lambdas I've been on. I still love Seeds, and I get to use every power at my disposal when it comes to stopping those 20 prisoners escaping.

    So, for once, I don't really feel I need mez prot. that much with this Controller, since everything is literally Held or Confused almost all of the time!

    At the moment, I have Tier 3 Reactive, and plan on going Ion, IDF (Or Clockwork), and Tier 3 Alpha. I was thinking maybe Rebirth, but I already have a (albeit not very good) heal in EE. So maybe Ageless. Has anyone had some experience with these on a Plant/Storm or a similar toon. Hey, I'm happy if someone wants to convince me Barrier is unbelievably good too..

    All advice is appreciated..

    I would go with the Rad/Kin, but I have a bias towards Corruptors.

    The Blaster will have a higher damage cap, but I can't think of much else it has going for it. You can SL cap the Blaster so it isn't really a glass cannon, and even with Kin, a Rad/Fire's personal AoE is going to be noticeably higher. On a team though, a kin is going to make a much bigger difference (force multiplying etc.) as I'm sure you know.

    I've played a Rad/Kin for a while now, and the damage certainly isn't Fire Blast, but it's not actually that bad. I also like the machine-gun nature of Neutrino Bolt, which the Rad Blast wouldn't have.

    Most of this is my opinion, hope some of it helps.

    I agree with this, I just hope that the devs get around to fixing it to how it should work within the next few weeks. I'd rather people had fun with it until the devs sorted out a proper fix, where as we have to play with it being subpar for a while now.

    Thanks for your input guys, it's really helped. I think I'll respec in the Gloom tbh instead, the animation times are already slow enough on KM already.

    Does anyone know what the top DPS chain for KM is by the way? (I have 65% Global Rech atm)

    A bit sad really that a Tier 8 ranged attack is dwarfed by a power that every Brute can get.

    So which is better numbers wise? I'm thinking Gloom atm, since it is just over half the activation time (1.1s vs 2s) and its damage seems pretty comparable.

    In high recharge builds, it seems superior? I'm happy to be proved wrong here..

    Hi guys..

    This is the final plan for my Kinetic/Fire Brute:

    - Smashing/Lethal Softcapped
    - Trying to get a good mix of single target and AoE
    - Decent amount of recharge
    - Figured I could use Focused Burst instead of Gloom, and use Soul Tentables for the SL Def bonus. Is Gloom still a better ranged attack however?
    - I understand my bread and butter attacks are slightly underslotted but I will have a good global acc.
    - Will probably just end up using Doctored Wounds instead of Panaceas in Healing Flames

    Thanks for all your replies guys, and I like the sound of making both! However I'll be looking to IO it/them out heavily so I might only be choosing one. I must say the Taunt in Blazing Aura is quite a big selling point for me.. but I also wanted to try Kin Melee. I guess it's also nice to know that I'm not really making a mistake if I did end up going Kin/Fire Brute anyway.
