Best Destiny for Plant/Storm (+ other Incarnate Stuff)

Hey guys,

I'll be unlocking my Destiny slot very soon with my Plant/Storm. I've always really enjoyed this toon and it has been no exception on all the BAFs and Lambdas I've been on. I still love Seeds, and I get to use every power at my disposal when it comes to stopping those 20 prisoners escaping.

So, for once, I don't really feel I need mez prot. that much with this Controller, since everything is literally Held or Confused almost all of the time!

At the moment, I have Tier 3 Reactive, and plan on going Ion, IDF (Or Clockwork), and Tier 3 Alpha. I was thinking maybe Rebirth, but I already have a (albeit not very good) heal in EE. So maybe Ageless. Has anyone had some experience with these on a Plant/Storm or a similar toon. Hey, I'm happy if someone wants to convince me Barrier is unbelievably good too..

All advice is appreciated..

Thanks,

Tux.

Wellp, I went Clarion. Not for the mez protection (since I went Plant/Storm/Psi specifically for Indomitable Will), but for the power-boost effect you can get with the Radial tree (and the boosted range is nice too). It's rather handy :3

I can see Ageless being more than a little handy, too, since endurance is kind of an ongoing problem for this toon (that and I went Musculature for my Alpha, since I mostly use this toon to kill things )

Cool, I think if I went Clarion I wouldn't be able to resist the perma 120 second T3/4 one, so I wouldn't go for the +Range. It just seemed a little boring to me though since it's what I go for on most of my ranged/controller/support toons.

Here's my build if that helps anyone:

It's not the boosted range, it's the Power Boost (which is sadly only available from the 90-second Radial tree). Hmm... speaking of which, I wonder if anyone has hard numbers on exactly how big a boost that is?

Ah sorry I meant that aswell well when I said +Range. Good point though.. I guess SoC is perma so I don't really need it to last longer and Vines usually has everything held till it's dead. And you can spam ST holds etc..

Would it give more +Heal on Spirit Tree out of interest? Thanks for your feedback by the way.

I took Ageless and never went back but I also was tempted by Clarion. My Toon has No end Problems whatsoever and I can play my Stormie to her upmost Deadliest. I was able to run Assault, Mist, Hurricane, Snow Storm, Lightning Storm, Bonfire, summon imps and spam cages all with only watching my end bar dip to half way and quickly push back to almost full.

I am happy beyond belief.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I can fully understand someone getting both and switching between the two when necessary.

You can get the numbers by right clicking on the power in the incarnate tree. It's an 80% boost for the first 22.5 seconds, a 20% boost for the next 22.5 seconds and a 10% boost for the final 45 seconds.

Nope, +Regen isn't affected by Power Boosts unfortunately (my Plant/Emp would be very happy if it was).

Your mezzes (primary and secondary, including stuns from Tornado), O2 boost, the -def from Freezing Rain and the -ToHit from Hurricane will be affected. For FR, Tornado and Hurricane the boost lasts for as long as the Boost is active (actually it's slightly fiddlier than that but it should boil down to "As long as the boost is active")
