Quote:Just quoted the things that apply to myself since I haven't bought everything just yet. I still need to get the the Science and Mutant boosters.im not gonna be buying this pack either because im not wasting my money on emoted which i rarely if ever use
the only reason i do buy the packs is because of the costume sets and special temp powers
since this pack is ONLY emotes of stuff i would rarely if ever use anyway im gonna pass
Even if this pack were $1 I'd be sorely pressed to find a reason to purchase it and at $8, not a chance. Anyway, this pack isn't for everyone and not everyone it's aimed at will buy it.
Seems like a bit of a wasted opportunity in my eyes, but if they feel they'll make money off it then good luck. -
This is something that I am not interested in, but I know there are others out there who ARE. Nice to see they are working on other things for us. The video while short does show off some pretty nice animations.
It'll be interesting to see what they have planned next. -
Some mission maps have a cap as well.
I have no idea what maps have a lower cap, but apparently the one you are running is one of them.
(And here's the link to the wiki Tickets page.) -
They could* just merge the server lists, so to speak.
Keep the EU servers and the characters on them, just add them to the US list. Then no one has to worry about losing character names and everybody gets more room to expand.
As for the topic, I completely forgot about the transfers this time. I moved all the characters I wanted to move the last time, so that MAY have had something to do with it. That and I have plenty of space still on the servers I play on thanks to the last round of transfers.
There are a couple of characters that could use a name change, but no biggie.

*I should say that "could" doesn't mean that they actually can do it, will do it or that it would even be easy to do. Just painting in broad strokes here. -

I just bought GR through Best Buy. I figured for $30 it was a heck of a lot better deal (for the physical package) than anything else I've seen so far.
I've waited this long for GR, I can wait another week for it to ship to me. Patience is a virtue, especially when you're cheap like I am. -

If I remember things right, you get a chance at getting a ticket drop off of every critter of at least minion level and above. LT's give more than minions and bosses give more than LT's. That doesn't mean you get tickets off of them all, just a chance. Like recipes, salvage or any other type of drop, it's completely random.
Okay, that said, the amount of tickets you receive at the end of a mission depends on how many tickets you got from drops during that mission.
For the first mission in an AE arc, you get the same number of tickets as a mission end bonus as you collected. If you got say, 123 tickets to drop during the mission, you'll get an additional 123 for completing the mission, giving you 246 total. Completing the second mission is similar, but there is a bonus amount added to the end of mish ticket reward, I think it's an extra 5%.
I believe that bonus percentage increases with the 3rd mission and again with the 4th and 5th, but don't quote me on that.
So, if you got 55 tickets at the end of your mission, that means one of two things, you only got 55 tickets to drop during the mish, OR you had 1445 drop during the mish and got a bonus 55 to take you to the ticket cap of 1500 per AE mission. You can't earn more than 1500 tickets in AE missions, including the end of mish ticket bonus. I forget when they added the ticket cap, but it's been there for quite a while. -
I love the red AT's, detest the red content. It just isn't for me.
GR gives me the ability to not only start playing new red AT's (thank you Praetoria) but will allow me to move what villains I do have heroside so they'll actually get played again. Markets (pre-merger news) and lower population (currently) red side had nothing to do with my mindset, I just cannot get into red content.
tl;dr - Short answer: Not me. -
<QR>
I'll be moving ALL of my villains heroside. Some may become Vigilantes, but I will not venture over the the Rogue Isles again.
I love the villain AT's but I grew tired of the villain zones and missions quickly. I kept trying to get into the whole 'vibe' of villains, I just can't play there any longer, and population has nothing to do with it. Nor does the current market situation play into it, especially since with i18/GR the markets will be merged.
My problem is simply the 'story' of the Isles themselves. Staring at the same zone for 10 levels at a time was boring as sin and the missions were not my cup of tea.
I know I'm likely in the minority but we all enjoy different things.
There seem to be plenty of people who will say goodbye to heroside to take up residence in the Isles, so I think the population may finally even out. -
Quote:^^ThisThing is, a player may belong to several different SG's since sg's are character specific, and a player may have many different characters. So, judging a SG because of a player is useless.
Use the star rating system to flag the player. That way, you'll be aware of them no matter what character or SG they are using.
.
Since the rating system was put in, that's the ONLY way I "judge" players. I rarely if ever look at whether someone is in an SG.
Sure, sometimes I look to see if teams I'm on have folks from the same SG, but I couldn't name a single SG name I've run across in this game if you put a gun to my head.
Well, except for the ones I belong to, which are SG's for my real life friends and our alts. -
Yeah, I'm guessing that the market server is having some problems. It's done this before, it'll do it again. I'm not worried about losing things I had bids on/selling since they keep a back-up of the servers.
It does make it difficult getting salvage needed to craft the recipes I have though.

Edit:
And now it looks like Globals are down as well, this keeps getting better. -

I believe what the OP means is, if the target the Decoy Phantasm was spawned for has less than 25% health, then make it so it won't spawn it on them.
I've seen that happen a lot, the Decoy gets cast on something with low HP's and then once the Decoy's target is (usually quickly) defeated, the decoy disappears. It then has to recharge the power and the player is left with one less way to deflect aggro.
It's annoying but, meh, I don't have THAT much of a problem with it. I also wouldn't complain if it were "fixed" so... -
If I remember correctly, global bonuses do not carry over to summoned type powers like pets, Rain of Fire, Freezing Rain, Tornado, Lightning Storm, Sleet and (more or less) the entire Traps set. So your global accuracy bonus is not helping Trip Mine at all.
I could be wrong and if so I'm sure someone will come in and put me in my place. But this is essentially what I've been told on how these types of powers work since IO's were introduced. If it's changed or if I've been misinformed, then I have a lot of relearning to do. -
Quote:There's no way it would have said 168M. Only items that can be vendored are given a price during a respec. You slot everything you had before and 10 enhancements can get kept. The rest get vendored; anything that is not normally salable gets sold for 0 inf.
This includes any crafted enhancements (even PvP IOs and Purples) and hami-Os. There is no false total, you must have misread the number.
Part of that is wrong.
Unless something has changed since the last time I respec'd (which was back in February of this year) you DO get back inf on crafted IO enhancements. You receive half of the crafting cost on IO's.
When I was getting the memorization badges on my main badger, I sold every IO I could and stored the rest (I.E. the crap ones) in my base. Then when a toon I have that is in the same SG would need a respec, I'd pick out 10 of those 'useless' IO's and at least make some of the inf back. It's worked like that for as long as I can remember.
One other thing... how in the world did you get a lvl 51 Numina IO? I thought that IO's stopped at lvl 50. -
My guess, check to make sure you're not in PvP mode instead of PvE mode. That's all I can think of.

I... I don't know where to start.
I mean that too, and not to be mean or rude, I simply don't know where to start.
You ask for help (which is a good thing) but it's nearly impossible to tell how you're slotted. Saying you have X amount of Y set slotted doesn't give enough information on just exactly WHAT ones you have slotted. I can't tell how much Acc, Dam, End Reduct or Rech you actually have since specific enhancements (and their levels) aren't listed.
However, I will point out some things I see and help out where I can. I am nowhere near the best source for build help, but there are basics that are easy enough (even for me) to grasp.
You don't have Acrobatics, but I see you have the full Steadfast Protection set which gives you at least 4 points of KB protection. If you are using Hover as a workaround for getting KB'd either slot a fly speed in Hover so you'll move around somewhat faster, an End Reduct so it uses less end or if you're lucky/rich enough put in the Blessing of the Zypher or Karma KB protect IO. Since Hover is currently empty, any of those will be a plus.
Fly speed caps these days with 1 or even possibly 2 SO fly speed enhancements. Add a fly speed enhancement to Swift and I think with the 1 in Fly you'll be capped, or at least really close, saving 2 slots from Fly.
You have 4 slots in Stamina. Unless one of them happens to be the Performance Shifter +End Proc, you've wasted a slot there as well. Slotting anything past 3 SO's (or the equivalent) is a waste.
Your shields seem under slotted as well, but it's difficult to say for sure. No, I take that back, I can say with absolute certainty that Plasma Shield at least is under slotted since the KB protection IO gives no damage resist bonus.
Those are just the things I can see right off. I can't say what build would be good for you since everyone likes something different. Perhaps someone else will come who has a little more knowledge than I and can give a build example.
I hope that I've helped and I truly hope I didn't come off as rude or condescending, as that was not my intent. -
It's a known issue and the Devs commented on it way back when the VEAT's were introduced. If I remember right, there is really nothing they can do about it.
If you take any of the Crab powers, but decided to make a secondary build as a Bane (meaning that the secondary build has NO Crab powers), the Crab backpack will still show up on your character even with your Bane build active.
Going to the tailor and removing the Crab-pack off your Bane costume won't make any difference. -
Quote:The shackles they are wearing look pretty hi-tech and Praetoria wasn't built in a day. I get the distinct feeling that the Ghouls could be some early experiment (slave labor workforce?) by Tyrant and his regime, winding up as something comparable to the Morlocks in The Time Machine.
The Ghouls look nice, but they seem a bit random? Where do they come from?
I guess we'll find out once GR goes live.

Is it July yet? -
Quote:Good grief, where in the world do you live where a happy meal costs $15?If the cost of a happy meal is what's keeping you from playing each month, well... maybe this isn't the game for you.
All kidding aside, I saw a couple of people mention that they were back simply for the free weekend and then would likely return when GR hits in July.
Another had been gone for 6 months and when they got back in and started playing they decided to re-sub.
I actually can't remember seeing anyone mention that they came back and were reminded why they stopped playing in the first place. Which to me is a huge win for CoX. It's inevitable that people leave from time to time, but when most of them usually return, there has to be SOMETHING good about the game and/or the community.
Coming up on 6 years and this game, despite the competition, is still going strong. I look forward to another 6 years.
And then 6 more after that, to be followed by an additional 6... -
I look forward to teaming with all the new Dual Pistol users.
I wish I could join in on the fun, but my DP users will have to wait for Going Rogue to be live before I could enjoy playing them, so I'll be waiting until July.

4 months away, it's only 4 months... -
Quote:Ummm, as far as your first question goes, it's been known for quite sometime that when you switch sides, that's all that happens, you switch sides. You don't suddenly become another AT.Now here is a big question here...
How will the percentages work now for powers for brutes and everything etc.. the defense wise for tanks and brutes and everything like that would it go to a tank when you go hero or will you still have low resistance/defense and more damage output.
How else would you switch this would MMs/Controllers be possible if you do vill/heroes or will it be doms/controllers corrupters/blasters tank/brutes stalkers/scrappers but what about defenders and PBs/WS and widow/spider????
This doesn't seem complicated But i think we need more details about what is going on here... especially since this supposed to be let out soon.
The trading system from hero/villian pretorian and rogue and vigil has to maybe accept anything from anyone.. in a sense because it really does get annoying trying to play a team together and you are all teamed up and everything but yet you can't help each other out if you don't have inspirations to hand over. I do by the fact get annoyed by doing LGTF and Pocket D missions.
By the way i would like to have to be able to see the hero/villains powers if you are the opposing side... and bonuses and all of that it would just make more sense if you are teaming with them and all.
Another thing. What about badges??? Would you be able to have access to all the badges from heroes and villains exploration? and all of that, and also the TFs would we be able to access everything now?
How will powers work will everyone be able to have access to every power like brutes have every power for tanks and doms for controllers and when we do a switch do we do a complete dom/controller so like a Archtype respec??? or no???
Hope that wasn't to much for you all but i hope that covers alot of your questions.
A Brute will be a Brute no matter what side they are on, same for all the other AT's. You will eventually see Villain Controllers, Hero Dominators, Rogue Blasters and Vigilante Masterminds.
Now, we players aren't sure what happens when you do switch sides and you get into the Epic/Patron power territory. Can a Hero Brute get the ancillary powers for say a Scrapper or a Tank, or do they get some version of heroside patrons or will there be new Epic powers for switched over villain AT's? And similarly, will hero AT's get new versions of Patron powers or will Epic pools be added when they go villainside?
That we don't know at this time.
As far as Badges go, I believe you can get all badges from one side, switch, and get them on the opposite side.
The only restriction will be that while you can get all of the accolades, you can only ever have one of the powers/bonuses they grant. So no getting the Atlas Medallion and the villianside equivalent and getting an extra 10 endurance, you'll only get the +5 endurance bonus once. -
Oh sure, I've always thought about using a flash drive to do that stuff... but I never remember to buy one. Just not something I use on a regular basis so it's always one of those things that's like "Oh yeah, if I had one of those it'd solve my problem." Always think about it AFTER something goes wrong.
I'd like to say I'll be going out to buy one tomorrow, but I'll likely completely forget about it before I finish writ...
Oooo, shiny!

Quote:As I said earlier in this very thread, having the physical updated discs is a big bonus for me even though I do keep a back up.Just out of curiosity; is an updated install disk really necessary for existing players? I was under the impression that even in a worse case scenario (computer reformat and misplaced install disk) I would still be able to log into my NCSoft account and download any current client and corresponding program?
I've gone through 3 DVD recordable drives in less than a year and some of the discs that were burned, while they SEEMED to be just fine at the time, are now unreadable on the replacement drives. It seems that the old drives could read what they were burning just fine (until they died), but since they were apparently on their last leg, they were burning in such a way that other drives could not read the information.
Now sure, I could just download everything again from scratch, but I don't exactly have the fastest internet connection and I don't feel like taking 2 days or so to get the game when there are quicker and more reliable ways. And sure, the very next update after those discs are released means I have to download anyway, it just won't be as large a download as it would have been without those updated install discs.
So...
For me it's personal choice to have updated discs. I'm not going to complain one way or the other about the way NCSoft is selling us GoRo. They are a business and they are in business to make money. It's the consumers choice when (or if) they give their money to any business. If I was in such a rush to play Dual Pistols, I'd be pre-purchasing. Since most of my Dual Pistol ideas require me to wait until GoRo is live, I'll just be waiting until July.
It doesn't hurt that I'll get the most for my money that way either. -
Quote:Just an additional note...Dominators don't have end recovery in their primaries because control sets don't get them, but their secondaries do have end recovery powers in two sets. Also, they can get end recovery in their patron pools.
Don't forget Dominators also get a FULL end recovery power as an inherent.
>.>
<.<
Why don't any of the blue side AT's get such a great inherent? If anything, Defenders get the only thing close (inherent wise), and the majority of the playerbase will agree that Vigilance sucks.
