  1. I have this crazy idea. It's called play the build and find out what works for you and build around it. Any of the guides should be worthwhile in finding out if a power is worth taking even if they don't go into current IO slotting.
  2. For pure AV killing, /sonic wins.
  3. It's nice defenders got /fire, but Fire Blast simply comes across as a much better set on corrs.

(Oddly, bankable female stars tend to be announced when a producer is chasing male whale investors, rather than hedge funds or managed funds. Can't think why.)

Agencies tend not to question favourable attachments on the basis that (a) it's better to be talked about than not, and (b) an apparently hard-working star might just clear Project A off their schedule for Project B if a suitably larger offer is made (with the resulting percentage).

So instead of farming AE, you'll farm the new lowbie trial? Gotcha.

  8. Know the basics of slotting DO/SO slotting. Examples are based on SO slotting. For DOs, double the number going left to right without adding more slots than what you would use with SOs.

Single Target(ST) attacks get 1 acc, 1 end reduc, 3 damage, and a recharge roughly in that order.

Area of Effect(AoE) attacks get 2 acc, 1 end reduc, 3 damage.

Toggles get 1 end reduc minimum depending on the end cost. Some can take up to three. It takes 3 of whatever the toggle is for, ie a resist toggle gets 1 end, 3 resist damage. If it does something to mobs, it needs 1-2 acc.

    3 slot Stamina.

Take your mezz protection asap if you get it. If it's a toggle, 1 end reduc will mostly likely be all you need. Some will do something in addition to providing mezz protecting, so make sure to slot for that aspect as well, or in place of the end reduc, ie Integration from /regen. If the mezz protection is a click power, 2 slot it for recharge.

1 slot anything related to travel powers unless you take Teleport which could use and end reduc and range.

I would do this and add a 2nd acc for any power that hits more than one target. I would slot recharge last. At SO level, I slot 1-2 acc, end, 3 damage, and 0-1 recharge in that order.

You have to look at it from the standpoint of what will be annoying on SFs/TFs because outside of that my guess is you are only doing level 50 content once you hit 50. At least blue side, I don't find that many TFs annoying for mezzes. I haven't done all of the red side ones to know. Outside of mezzes, Carnies at x4 is difficult for a number of reasons. Psy attacks, numerous pets including ones you can't hurt and you just have to wait out, and end drain can cause various builds issues. I didn't feel comfortable pushing the diff on my IOed Kat/sr until I got my T3 alpha for the level boost.

He is. It just seems odd to only mention part of the cast and being significant contributors.
  12. I'll just point out that Hindenburg's build should be used only as a solo build. One slotting two of the three main bubbles is a really bad idea for a team build.

I assume scrappers feeling like brutes since their damage would be going up as the /sonic attacked. I'll also assume you mean fury versus Rage because not every brute is SS. It may seem like every one is, but really they aren't.
  14. I can see using some of the lower combos early to get attack chains going, but use the AV and Sweep combos in the end. /elec makes it easy to run the AV combo from a recharge and end standpoint. I don't have a build for it and my DB/elec is a scrapper so there will be a difference in epics/patrons as well. I would mostly build for S/L def cap, or one purple away from it and then enough recharge for your ideal attack chain and getting Energize perma if need be. HP/regen would be third on the list.
  15. It's interesting how many things he says raise flags and yet he seems so hell bent on it being done.

    Copy Tool Down?

I replied in my own thread on the beta forums, but I'll add it here. I didn't know who to contact, so I PMed Zwillinger. I've pretty much got all of the non level 50 content done, so it would be nice to experience that, but my character has 1.2K influ in beta and no enhancements.

    No More AE farms

I can't remember what was being said, but I do recall somebody saying something in the Help channel about farms being changed and the change was in the patch notes. I kept asking for proof, but they finally caved and admitted they were doing it for kicks and giggles.

I've done it in 1. I've done it were it took numerous mobs to get one.

And exactly why does cyborg suck? thats all everyone runs...whats better than it?..
Typical start times is when you zone into the map. Cyborg sucks because it's a single mission versus 5 so you waste time resetting the mission, you need to click on two doors to even get to the first mob, there's simply too much movement to destroy both objects for the ambushes. I believe on top of all of that there simply is less mobs, or less exp return in it as well since people earned less influ while doing clears compared to other ambush farms. The only good thing about it is it has fire mobs and ambushes. I currently run FIRE! quite a bit, but I know there are better maps. I've just been too lazy to work through my list I have to see what one I like the best.

    EDIT: Fixed wording.

I think this is the issue for me versus his race. If you are replacing somebody like Captain America then it's more about the idea of the character then what the specific powers are. Spiderman's powers make up who he is.
