The Danger Girl movie may suck bad, but...

Milla Jovovich, Kate Beckinsale, and Sofia Vergara are attached to star.

Giggity.

I thought this turned out to be a hoax.

Posted three days ago and I see no comment saying it's a hoax. Also note "attached to star" means very little until the person has actually signed on.

My bro-in-law is about the biggest J. Scott Campbell fan of all time, and he posted this up his Facebook and then later commented that it turned out that it wasn't true. Don't know where his info came from.

If they make this movie at J. Scott Campbell pace, we can expect a Summer 2021 premier.

Already found the articles saying it's a false rumor after the agents of the actresses were contacted.

What was Danger Girl even about? From all the art I've seen, just seems like T&A, and if that's the case, 2/3 of the lead roles were miscast already.

Jovovich and Beckinsale are both proven action stars but neither one of them are overly abundant in the rack department. From what little I know about Danger Girl I think all of the main actresses would need to be fully equipped with standard superheroine-sized "floatation devices".

I was actually referring to Jovovich and Vergara due to having no figure and being a butterface, respectively. >.>

I'll take either one that's not Jovavich.

Danger Girl was like James Bond meets Indiana Jones and given a sex change!

Also, I would think any Danger Girl movie would need Brice Cambell in it.

Sofia Vergara, a butterface? Dude....

What? She benefits a lot from Photoshop in pictures but when you see her in commercials or shows and such she's not very pretty. Maybe butterface is too harsh if you take it to mean she's ugly with a hot body; I tend to think of it more as a body looking good to the degree that the level of attractiveness of the face makes the collective package disappointing. >.>

Also, if I were to make this movie, I would probably look to include some smaller names and focus on the story and the action.

As in, I wouldn't mind seeing Zoe Bell cast as one of these characters instead.

It was about cashing in at the height of being a popular comic creator then leaving the industry and fans that made you who you were hanging for years while you turned your back on them in the most unprofessional manner possible.

Or something like that.

Craft your inventions in AE!!

Play "Crafter's Cafe" - Arc #487283. A 1 mission, NON-COMBAT AE arc with workable invention tables!

I question your taste in women when you call Sofia Vergara a butterface and then want to cast Zoe Bell.

So far the choices are older than what was intended by the Danger Girl comic. I would be picking a younger cast if I was making this.

Zoe Bell actually has action movie experience, though, and she hasn't benefited from always getting Photoshopped or the extensive makeup crews for closeup shots to make us think these women actually look like that because she's mostly been a stuntwoman.

And you pretty much have to have a dressed up Zoe Bell to keep up with a basic looking version of Vergara.

Zoe Bell was basically just an example, though, again, she does come with the benefit of actually being able to do her own action. My line of thinking was going the Dead or Alive route casting-wise by just getting lesser-known actresses for a movie that's basically just going to be eye-candy anyway to be able to pick up more actresses or put in more action for the same price.

First, I'm questioning why you're so focused on her face in the first place.....

Then, seriously, rare is the woman that is perfect from head to toe. Sofia is closer to that than most, photoshop and makeup or not. If anything, a small flaw here or there can be even better than perfection. They're more real that way.

Quite common. "Attached" should mean that the actor/actress/director/writer has been approached (or their agent has) and has an agreement in principle to join the project.

However, naughtier producers will often release statements about "attachments" in the grand tradition of scrabbling together money from unsuspecting investors. (Oddly, bankable female stars tend to be announced when a producer is chasing male whale investors, rather than hedge funds or managed funds. Can't think why.)

Agencies tend not to question favourable attachments on the basis that (a) it's better to be talked about than not, and (b) an apparently hard-working star might just clear Project A off their schedule for Project B if a suitably larger offer is made (with the resulting percentage).

Is it time for the dance of joy yet?
