  1. How about Energy/Ice? Or would that be less than effective? Theoretically the ice holds would lessen knockback, right?

"See, this is what happens when you have to shove all this stuff into your pockets: it's easy to misplace a suborbital warhead." -Arcanaville, on how crowded our power trays are getting lately
  2. Please, oh please, oh PLEASE have them try to include the first attempt at forming the Shinkenger zord. I laughed till I was *sick* at that.

This plus the Kamen Rider Double 'violin on the beach' scene were my favorite toku/sentai scenes this year.

Yeah, I've been told I'm doing it wrong too. Last time I checked, I was paying my own subscription fee, so I'll do as I see fit.

This is my setup too! I even moved it over to WoW because I couldn't grok their setup. I have had people go "you still point and click?" Uh, yes. Am I slowing you down? No? Then shut up and keep playing.

    City Traveler

I'm gonna be hitting CT come next week.

It's going to depend on my character concept. Some will require it - Defenestration Lass, frex, flies everywhere and thus will need Hover - while some of my other flyers just took one of the Flight prereqs as a speedbump. They'll get respecced.
  5. Snagged Tiltawhirl and Nanaca Crash on Virtue. One's gonna be a carnie-themed bouncer scrapper. The other one's a tank. Dunno which one's which yet.

Also picked up The Obtenebrist on Virtue, perfect for my dark/dark pulpthemed scrapper.
  6. Crazy altitis freak here too. Made two more characters on Thursday and just settled on placeholders for my characters once KM goes live.

But yeah, it's a matter of goals. For me, I really wanted Singularity on my grav controller, so I resolved this weekend to play Defenestration Lass and no one else. Got from 22 to five bars from 32, so I'm quite pleased with myself. Would have dinged 32 had I not been so blasted tired at 8 PM.

I don't join SGs at random just to make money, either.
What server are you on? I know on Virtue I'm practically tripping over TFs (did about four this weekend alone) and got from 22 to near 32 in the process. Thank you, Virtue LFG Alpha channel.

(And no, I'm not in a formal SG there, either, on the character in question.)

I was just *staring* at that. I thought it was dogs, then I realized those were *cats*. I've never seen cats act like that EVER. At least not in massive groups - that's why I thought dogs at first.
  9. This is going to sound crazy, but I'm sure *someone* has done this.

Anyone got a source for a checklist of defeat badges? I have a hunter concept character brewing in my mind, and I'd like to get all the defeat badges on him or her.

I know I'd get pointed to badgew -, but that's not *quite* what I'm looking for here. Thanks in advance.
  10. Okay, as an Arkansan born and bred, I wish *I* had thought of that name!

    Joan of Arkansas. That's beautiful.

But onto the subject of Broadsword: You don't see us because we're off KILLING lots and lots of things.

My scrapper, Androktasia (BS/WP), is just this roiling ball of hoplite armor and sword. Swear to god, she's my own personal Tasmanian devil. Things just don't kill her, and everything within a five mile radius just dies when she gets moving.

Never thought I'd love Broadsword till I saw someone take one to 50, and even then it was about four years before I tried it myself. I regret I didn't try it earlier.

And now I'm about to build a BS/SD. TIME FOR MORE KILLING.

If you plan on using any of them consistently, you will end up with almost no endurance. With Tactics running, you could drop the second acc IO in every attack for an EndRed IO, and still should hit consistently.

Black Hole, though I have never used it, cannot be more useful that Fearsome Stare, which you've dropped entirely.

This. Also, Black Hole has an awful accuracy penalty, and you've got no accs in there. Really not that good a power.

    Take Fearsome Stare. Really.
  12. Cause this is getting annoying.

<---DS/FF and loving it, surprisingly, but for one thing.

I bubble my minions before I walk in the door, and when I get in the bubbles are gone and I have to start all over again.

There's no lag other than the usual load time, which is only a few seconds.

    Reported bug, or WAI? Thanks!
  13. Okay, I'm not the only one with this problem, thank god.

Sheesh. I named my demons what I did for a reason - so I'd know who attacks with what/what they do at a glance.

This messes with my visual cues.

THIS. I was not here for year 1. I've got no problem not having that one. Kind of stings not having the special pokemon for having both year 1 and 2 badges...but I got over that.

But I've been here ever since then. However, I just checked my main and somehow I missed year 4 - forgot to log her in, but I logged in one of my alts during that time and SHE has it.
  15. okay, so it isn't just me.

Woot! Maybe winamp will stop crashing CoH on me now.

Actually, if anyone's got a better mp3 player I can use, lemme know...

I'd probably say the same is true for alot of the other secondaries as well.
I'm running a DS/DM (/Pain is just NOT me, I've discovered) and oh gods, you're right. I'm only at 12 but I should be considering this Fearsome Stare vs. Hell on Earth, right then...I'm assuming HoE needs recharge like Gang War.

Where do you think it can be fit in?

I didn't mess witih CoH last night though. Tried to see a reflection in anything, then logged.
They're under Powers. Not Weapons. Unless that didn't show either?
  18. Going DS/Pain here as well. I cannot bring myself to roll /Dark again although I love the set. iMaid was enough.
  19. I have but one short story to share.

    Me: Katana/WP. The husband: WP/SS.

We decided to try out one of the Ouro TFs.

Yes, the one with the Nazi Extravaganza. We didn't know that was what was going to go down at the time.

I think half of Chicago heard the YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHAW. If there is a mission that encourages scrapperlock, it is that one. So much fun.
  20. I usually do, and it depends on my mood.

Somedays it's Pandora or bust where I've built a sweet trance folder.
Other times I head to Woot or The Cape when I want to see what they've whipped up for the day.

And then...there is the 24-hour Bollywood music channel that I stumbled upon a year ago. It makes for interesting fights, lemme tell you.
  21. Sympathies from here.

I'm living in a particularly Polish-dominant section of Chicago. To say my neighbors are subdued right now is understating it. But the Polish flags are out in force now, and more every minute.

They did have that explanation at first....but in one rendition it was his mother, Diana Trevor, that gave them the idea for the double-W and whom Wondy was named after. Crashed on the island and saved an amazon strikeforce taking on Hecatonchire - and died in the process. Wondy met her and got the whole explanation. That was during the Perez years...

(Sorry, it's one of my favorite stories, it makes me geek out.)

But back to the subject at hand. I'm one of those crazies that steps back from any costume I'm designing and goes "That's nice, but can she actually FIGHT in this?" If it has me going "God that's got to chafe" or "my, you look chilly, dear" odds are it will not even make Outbreak. As a result, I tend to 'Legionnaire-esque garb - full body spandex with gloves and/or practical combat boots for the win.

Hex Pistol is one of my exceptions, as she's my love letter to the time I was obsessed with Image Comics, Lady Death, Vampi... Not quite scantily clad, but she's getting there - and there's three-four more costume slots to unlock. If only I could get hold of Desdemona's boots, her outfit will be full of win - and really interesting tan lines come summer.
  23. I was wondering if ATI was worth getting.

I could get a NVid 9800 fairly cheaply (I've had an 8800 for a while) but I don't know a thing about ATI cards or what I should be looking for there.

The issue will probably be memory more than anything else.

That, right there? Is an AWESOME explanation for DP flintlocks!
