Paired with Dark Melee that is tinted brown, the punches look like a fist full of dirt. Which is sofreakingawesome.

Like you, I used one of the pieces for my earthy character. In this case, Ethergreen.



Just 'cause I think the Detail 1 piece looks like antlers.

Ohhh! Excellent use of the Detail 1 horns.

The bioluminescent parts look like they'd be good for a lava-themed costume.

Edit: Unless I just missed it, I'm kind of surprised they didn't throw in any claw pieces.

Wow, all of those look great. I think you sold me on the mutant booster the moment I saw that first succubus picture.

Looks like I need to fire up test when I get home. And I just realized I haven't reinstalled test since I upgraded my PC.

How on earth do you get your glowy b its so bright? do regular auras augment them?

As I can´t look for myself...
What does the Bio Organic set look like on big toons? Somehow I doubt they get the Tanga too^^

This is called Mutation Pack? It really looks like a Demon Pack to me.

I just read through the thread linked in the OP and it appears numerous people had that exact same first reaction.

It's hard to tell whether it's bad or good from screenshots, but I'm not really getting a "mutation" vibe from it. It really just looks like the usual demonic stuff that's already in the game, except turned to 11. Plus some twigs to stick on your spandex. If they had billed it as a Demon Pack, I would've totally bought into it instantly.

The pack is certainly getting a lot of, "that's not the mutation we've been asking for!" in the feedback thread. My reaction was the same as all the other packs, "SQUEEEEE! MORE STUFF!" I am probably in the minority in that I treat all packs simply as more stuff packs.

There is one character I have that I did not even expect to use the Mutation pack on, and that was with my white knight character Valkyrior:



But lo' and behold, it finally gave me something I have been waiting for - proper glow eyes! Before, I simply had to fake it as such:

No matter how specific some items can be, there are always creative ways to use them together. Take a look at this character, which uses pieces from Valkyrie, Magic, Natural, and Tech packs:



With that said, it really is a bummer for those that have not seen what they were hoping for. It seriously is. Now those folks will have to wait until who knows when for their most wanted things to trickle in either with an Issue or with a Booster Pack; and we all know that waiting is not fun. You just have to hope that the next time the dart hits the "Yes, this is obvious use of the Mutation theme" square on the dartboard instead of the "Okay, this could be on the fringe of Mutation" square. The word obvious being a very subjective one, obviously.

Please! How one might get onto the test server?

not really selling me with a post goin "yeah these parts aren't too specific at all, here's one specific use i found for them! and check out how flexible all the other boosters are in comparison!".

but so i'm not just crappin up your thread, i made a costume trying to integrate the new booster pieces into an existing costume to spruce it up without feeling overly forced.

Here I see three characters who would make good enemies in the TA's contest ^^

I think the succubus outfit you made reminds me a lot of the animated witchblade. Wonder if they will ever finish off the metal set.
