and the fact that if they tried to actually ban all the farmers for general farming there would be so many people to leave the game would fail. they are trying to zero in on abusive arcs and remedy those abuses as they find them. without commiting mmo suicide by making a good sized percentage of the player base upset

the only thjing i have had some success against a mastermind in general is another mastermind and my shield/fire tank using the aoe's shield charge, char,firesword circle, fire ball, cremate, greater fire sword. assuming he doesnt make you puke. if that chain doesnt kill him then your dead.

thats good that you build teams when you are level 1 or 2. it is wonderfull. just don't invite a level 50 with the intention of being powerleveled. And select a mission that can be run at your own respective levels. should a level 50 ask then explain he would have t exemp.


Facts are this team leader was intentionally looking to get his team and 2 of his own toons powerleveled.

They wasted my time so i wasted theirs.

lol not to mention that gave at least 4 of them 2 levels on that one incomplete map.

maybe you can alter your idea and use the two atlas park outside maps.

was invited after their team was already inside the mission. i enter the mission. realize that all they wanted was for me to power level them. so i decided to pull my own weight in the map. i mean when their level 22 energy blaster blew half the spawn away i figured they were able to handle it so i moved to the next spawn.

they invited me to a team knowing they could not handle those spawns. they were on a map that forced the levels to level 54 lt's. I can only hold so much aggro when i try to.


I doubt any gm would have had a problem with me in any way considering the team "organizer was level 12 inviting a level 50 tricked out tanker to give him a free powerlevel.

they got what they deserve. debt. and no xp. had i obliged them and gavem the free pl people here would grief me over making another noob 50. I think my way was better for all. (especially me)

i run boss maps and stuff solo on my tanker for fun some if them very challenging. Just today i got saw a broadcast looking for an a/e member stating looking for damage dealer. i sent a tell asking if a level 50 tank would do. invite was sent immediately. I accepted and started looking over the team no one and i mean no one over level 25. They look at me and my set bonuses and immediately say "should we change it to bosses?" i say no need lts are fine. right away i figured out they were wanting me to power level them. So i jumped in a group and drug that group to another group and started attacking.

half way through the battle i toggle off against all odds. team wipe minus me. toggle it back on and finish off the spawns they rez each other and remark wow that hurt. i do that a few times before i finally drag them into the biggest baddest nastiest spawn placement on the map aggro the world with fire ball and quit team.i imagine they got the point.

simple solution. make purple sets be allowed to be slotted and used at 48+. this would take care of everything all at once with only one change.

1 to 54 means just that. to force spawn it at level 50 or 54 you need to add a npc that is only available at level 50 or above. other wise if you are level 14 the enemies in the mision will spawn as level 14's

Let's not forget that the last few updates have sped up the normal leveling rate considerably. the xp curve smoothing. day job double xp, addition of radio missions(decreased traveling times) have all shortened the leveling time acros the board. So much so that they actually allow you to disable xp for that very reason. I think alot of the vets here are remembering the grinds of old and applying that memory to a totally different game we have today.

If a person were to only play a toon while he had patrol xp to burn that toon would be leveling the same as a person doing it all on dbl xp weekend. and if you say only have an hour per night to play and spread that time amog 7 alts you will level 7 different toons to 50 at double the rate before those changes.

I could see during special event and holidays the devs having some sort of contest , costume contest, pvp, etc where a player could receive a free month or 2 and during anniversary event they could have something really big set up for a chance of a lifetime account at a reduced rate or even free.

It might even get people to pvp if they could have a chance at some of those rewards.

yes if side switching does anything else it needs to allow heroes to gang bang villains with stalkers and make them have to endlessly keep continously mmoving to avoid 3 hero stalkers from as'n them. as it is right now they can stand still e/ boom boxing safely while a hero has to run and jump like a rabbit being chased by beagles all day

after i reched 1.8 bil the other day my brother sent me a build for a toon and i had to have it. now i only gots 200k left and a cadillac to run tf's with

my idea on origins would be something of each origin allowing earlier access to existing powers/costume parts/weapon styles that are already available to all. for instance a natural origin toon could access say super jump with out having to take kick or combat jumping. and a tech origin could take health without swift or hurdle.

all those powers are already accessible to all and having earlier access to them by origin would not harm the game.

My examples could be tweaked of course but i could see having fun deciding what to take by what i need for concept or making my builds more flexible in certain areas.

Here is what happens on pinncale in rv. 1 person in the nites or one of the nites coalition will lose in rv and call out all their friends to come to rv.

Nothing wrong with that at all. @ least not untill you bring in 10 people to go against 3 heroes. with odds like that you are supposed to win. But honestly the way funk acts in the zone with his broadcast macros set up to brag about 7 or 8 of them killing one person makes him look totally retarded.

I can see when things are even boasting about a win but that is not how the nites work. They will not fight untill they have the numbers and toons needed so they can literally over power whoever is in the zone. even to the point of having one of them log into a hero to see what they need to counter the heroes playing at that time.


All i have stated above is playing smart. the only thing i have a problem with is the way funk acts like a tard because he has enough friends online at that point in time that he feels the need to beat his chest. I honestly cannot see how his friends put up with his arrogance and would want to be associated with him.

I was totally pissed at posi's original hissy fit. I was very vocal and had many of my posts deleted by mods for being extemely harsh. I canceled 3 accounts and kept 1 active.

I am stating these things because I want to make sure everyone knows where i stood on his response.

I was not totally satisfied with his follow up post but i did resub my sons account mainly because my son shouldn't suffer cause i got mad.

I play challenge misions consisting of all bosses with a fire/rad. sometimes we make them all elite bosses. the rewards for these missions are huge influence and tickets.(1 500 ticket cap allowed us to have shorter runs with more breaks inbetween.

We enjoy that challenge and we create a team that can steamroll that content when we work together. When setting up our runs if you listen on vent it sounds like we are setting up for a master of statesman or rsf going by our discussions of what we need.
We do not invite noobs to our missions/ we do not powerlevel people . We are selfish and sometimes have to run 2 maps at a time once one map reaches the mooch cap.(that is really fun cause we end up racing to finish the challenge before the other team can.

Since we have fun doing this we are not farming. and therefore have nothing to worry about except self rightoues anti farmers who enter our missions and try to get us yanked down.

since we have several players who run the challenge missions we are thinking of reporting our own map just to get it reviewed and flagged as untouchable.

Ideally the casual player would use that 65 mil to buy a lower level toon theyplan to work on next an early knockback proc and to bank roll the next character they play.


One thing i do love is that with tickets you can get the correct level single origins without having to worry about if you can slot a level 30 or 35 so yet. you can get a level 33 or 34 and be effective as possible after every map if you want.

the thing i find funny is my son made an arc on my account. he is 10 and his spelling grammar was bad as to be expected. I added in his description how old he is so they could target their feedback to him accordingly. yet there are still people who rate him a 2 or 3 and use spelling and grammar as the reason. so far he has 14 ratings for a average of a 3. and one complaint that he made a farm lol. some people have been helpfull to him with feedback. I wondered one day why he was asking me what a spellcheck was. then i seen where people had sent him a nasty message about his spelling.


Of course I could proof it for him but i think he learns better if he has to figure it out himself. That and he doesn't want me "messin up his arc"

if you are using vista then you will need to right click on your vent shortcut and select run as admin for it to work properly when the game is in the forefront on you pc. it should work properly then. hope that helps you

Well your observations have been countered by several people in the test server thread some of whom have put forth numbers and examples of just how overpowered the custom critters have become in relation to the rewards we get for them.

I am saying people new to the game defnately will have trouble with them compared to normal content. It really doesn't matter that a veteran player as your self can adjust to this change easy.
