Are There Any Clean/Destroyed Maps?

I'd like to do an arc where the hero enters a building, does some stuff and, later, enters the same building only to have it "abandoned" (broken pillars, fire, whatever... you know the ones). But it'd look pretty dumb to have two completely different maps. Are there any "mirrored" maps that have both a clean and a ruined version? Heroside or Villainside, I don't care.

I'm sure you can find this either with the tech maps or the office maps. There are clean/active and wrecked/abandoned versions of both. I would assume that some use the same layout, though I don't know that for sure.

That sounds... like a real pain to figure out, actually.

I need an office map for the plot I'm using and was semi-casually checking them against one another but couldn't find two that shared a layout. Then again, my search wasn't exhaustive since I thought someone else might have already found out the answers for me. For the record, it's not as simple (for offices) as Clean Small #1 = Ruined Small #1 or anything like that.

This is a pretty good idea for a story element, though. I feel like surely someone is willing to make a list of maps that share a layout... or maybe someone can dig in the unmentionables and find a way to do it automatically.

After browsing through the small/medium maps for both hero & villains (actually, they reuse the abandoned hero maps for redside), it doesn't look as though there's any matches. I couldn't even find two close enough to fake it. Oh well.

I think the unique maps contain some destroyed looking office buildings if you don't mind Hellion-themed graffiti.

And for a while things were cold,
They were scared down in their holes
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines

I'm using this in my up-coming arc and found that there are NO matching "fresh"/"wrecked" tech lab maps. :P I did find one "wrecked" that can sort-of kind-of match up with a "fresh", although the "fresh" one is two levels long and the "wrecked" one is only one level and about only the back half the "fresh" map.

There's also a curve in a corridor the "fresh" one doesn't have, but I'm hoping no one catches that. >.> <.< FNORD

When I use it I'm going to drop in a line about "the other levels collapsed in the explosion" or something...

maybe you can alter your idea and use the two atlas park outside maps.

Unfortunately, what I wanted requires an indoor map. I guess I'm just going to shelve the idea and wait for better days when we have the map options to handle it.

There's a rather popular "flooded" office map (the DE map) that mirrors one of the heroside office maps. Perhaps you could use that.

"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."

Are you looking under the "unique" abandoned tech maps?

Because I just checked, and the tech and abandoned tech categories seem to be exactly the same maps.

I can't recall exactly as I did my search a couple of weeks ago. I do recall I spent some good time going through all the maps, but I could have been wrong. I also could have ruled out "Map X, Y and Z" that did have matches due to something I wanted or didn't want for my arc; I kinda think not, but...

Sometimes my memory can be a bit questionable I suppose.

[/ QUOTE ]I ultimately went with this map set so thanks for the tip!
