Quote:I think Torment has possible the best options in general. You can be psychotic (in fact, you were!) you can be incredibly, freakishly ruthless (one scene in particular still makes me break into tears when it comes up, there are *no* words for "longing") , or a paragon of virtue. or something in-between. (in fact, you were all of these things, at different points)Actually I thought the opposite, I was incredibly disappointed with now hacknied Fallouts approach is to Good and Evil. It's incredibly unrealistic. I mean look at the first big Good/Evil decision you make in Megaton. It's completely OTT and rather silly. The only saving grace for it was the consequences for making the "good" choice on others.
Mass Effect does it well, you're not real, baby-eating, evil as a renegade, you're more ruthless and willing to make sacrifices to achieve your goals. -
Emperor Cole is a snappy dresser. He reminds me of a certain frenchman.
-
My impression is that the Rikti are actually pretty impotent. They have their army cut off here, and any attempts at getting more are constantly foiled by Vanguard (see: Lady Grey TF)

I find it odd to clank up this talk of Superhero comics being morally unambigious: Magneto is the freaking poster-child for moral ambiguity. Galactus is "beyond morality", even Dormammu gets a note that he is not evil, just an existence inimical to humankind.
Superhero comics thrive on moral ambiguity and questions of morality. (when is violence justifiable and how? To which degree does the ends justify the means?) the genre is, possibly more than any other, directly jacked into questions of Good and Evil. -

The thing is, I don't think any of the stuff I used was even supposed to be unlockable.
-
No, I was using the same character (and by extension the same account) both times.
-
Okay, I've created the first mission in a story arc. Tested it. Everything worked out fine.
Then I created the second mission, I'm getting loads of "Attempted to use unlockable content name that has not been rewarded for this entity" errors. I delete the second mission. Now FIRST mission is giving me these errors, despite me having actually been able to test the mission before.
What's up with that? -
Not much, a level with my scrapper (47-48) two with my Brute (26-28) and two with my Corruptor (10-12)
-
*laughs at languages who lacks gender-neutral personal pronouns*
And no, there is no etiquette against clicking on glowies, unless someone specifically tells you not too. -

Remember that old bug that used to spawn Storm Elementals (at level 45 or so) instead of Family (or was it Tsoo?)
That was good times. -
1) Scrappers, Blasters, Controllers, Defenders, SoA's, Widows, Masterminds, Brutes, Corruptors and Stalkers.
The sad thing? I only have one level 50...
2) Nah, I've re-made my original character at least three times.
3) Hard to say really... I know I *don't* like Claws, SR, AR or Earth Melee -
I colored my Earth/Storm's stuff greyish-brown, makes the storm looks like dirt or sandstorm. Excellent.
-
Dark Blue and white Bright Fire looks awesome on my blaster, ROF looks like falling stars.

Quote:I thought Flashbacks were functionally taskforces? And that's why disabling them for TF's also does the same with the Ouro arcs.Tweak taskforces, LEAVE FLASHBACKS ALONE!
All flashbacks are just regular missions hence any mission setting you have should be valid for those paticular missions. However the Mender TF and any other TF's should have the -1 option non-functioning and force it to be 0 or +n. -
It gets better later on, ROA+the two -res debuffing arrows should allow you to help more. Also Poison Gas arrow makes a whole lot of a difference (I noticed that on my defender)
-
Tanker. SS/inv
Scrapper: MA/SR
Blaster: Eng/Eng
Defender: Hmmm, hard to say. I think Storm/Elec, but really defenders and controllers seem to have the most variety in teams
Controller: Mind/FF
Brute: SS/WP
Stalker: Kat/Nin or SR
MM: Either Robots/Traps or Nec/Dark, they're about equally iconic.
Corr: Hmm, hard to say about this one.
Dom: Mind/Psi. -
Quote:Well, there is also buffing def and res, but yes, your point is taken. In fact, lowering resistance is the only way to make a kin more useful. One kin can easily keep the team at the damage cap if he's halfway competent, especially now that we can have 8 man spawns no matter what the teamsize is. The only way up from there is -res.
-
I'd also note that having someone to debuff res is one way of making Kin even MORE useful.
Consider that someone with capped damage gets more damage points out for every point of resistance that is lowered... -
My experience with /dark comes mostly from my MM but I've got to say... Are you NUTS?
/Dark is awesome. it can make everyone untouchable, it has Tar patch (which is all sorts of awesome) and enough controls to really make a difference (and with those from Nec/ it becomes fainly ludicrous)
/Dark isn't Kin, but it's one of the stronger sets I'd say. -
I'd love a "Sword and Gun Domination" set. Sword in one hand, gun in the other, cycle between ranged and melee attacks: Awesome.
