    Underwater?

    What the...?
I was in a mission in Cimerora, one of Sister Airla's missions, and there was a bit just like that. Fully submerged character. Only thing was I was walking on the bottom. No swimming, just walking.

I might need to check that out...
  2. Lord DeFeurard:
Vampire summoned by MAGI instead of anyone else, was content to work as a 'Good Guy' for a while. Now he's gotten kinda blood starved, the Mages are using him like a living weapon, and his patience has run thin.
    Feeding time!

    Meta Hunter:
Might go heroside or rogue, given as that is moral grey ground anyway. Unsure.

That's it for me, I think. Seriously looking forward to getting Leon redside though. I might actually get him to 50 before GR at this rate :P will tie in nicely with the story I guess.

    Disappointed

Want to make a Brute blueside?
Make them a Praetorian and choose the good side.

Thats the whole point of starting neutral. Praetoria has its own intro and tutorial, so you CAN make a Blue Brute fairly early on and suchnot.

[edit]Wow, balancing out defense with endurance usage at low levels is a toughie... lol [/edit]
It can't be as bad as lower level MA/SR Scrappers.
I swear you get punished brutally for little or no reason...
  5. Quantum.

    And, if that doesn't work;

    I was going to say...

Surely that should have made you reach for a heavy, blunt object?

Oh wait, that was the last one

Damnit, I always wanted to bump into a Dev-char actually running around in game being played by them. One of those silly little things that, even though you should know better, bugs me a tiny bit to this day

Made meeting War Witch in-game during I16 beta on test so much more awesome.

Speed? Yeah, you can go bloody fast, but as far as we're concerned, it's impossible to go past the speed of light, because you tend towards infinite mass and that's when things start imploding.
Hmm...I think this is the point someone puts 'Quantum' in the sentance, and people cough, look around and see something else they REALLY need to do right now

The reason why? Once you play "NEW STUFF" a few times, it becomes this "OLD CRAP" you seem to dislike so much.

I'm sorry to tell you this...that will never, EVER happen. The closest thing you'll ever get to it is something like the MA...yeah, anyway. The MA is, in fact, a good example at to why this isn't viable; even the people who actually put effort into their arcs and really try only have one or two that are particularly successful - because brilliant ideas AREN'T never ending. It's the same reason why you won't like every book an author has ever produced, or every game produced by a games manufacturor.

In the end, you'll have to find a way to make the "OLD CRAP" interesting again - "NEW STUFF" is finite.
    ^ This
Old becomes New after a Revamp. The Hollows was new after it got a makeover and the hospital and trainer added. BECAUSE IT WAS MORE FUN. And bearing in mind the Hollows was quite good before the revamp.

I'd love to see some of the 'Ghost Zones' re-done. Especially Dark Astoria, thats about as haunted as you can get. Pun intended

I am kind of an odd person, even as far back as Streets of Rage 2, I've wanted to play as the enemy mobs, specifically the bosses, not for their sheer overpoweredness they would be in such a game, even if they toned them done to be on the same level as other characters.

I understand that most NPCs are built from the ground up with only those specific parts in mind. The most idiotic one was a specific mustache for an unnamed Midnighter of no importance made it into the costume creator during beta testing. It was one of the proper '1800s British explorer' style ones and would have gone awesome with the monocle....

no...it was NPC only...this isn't a signature NPC piece...it's used on a nobody NPC and I never understood why it was pulled. Signature NPC parts I can understand, no matter how much I yern to have a Clockwork King Brain in a jar style headpiece, it ain't gonna happen.

After the Vanguard were introduced I assumed that had changed, each added villain group would allow for players to unlock their costumes in some way. Of course the Sybils proved otherwise (something about breaking the 'one cape rule' which frankly is bupkiss considering you can have the Bridal hair with trail and a cape).

Lets be brutually honest here...we're not going to be ever seeing any of the legacy NPC costumes on players...ever. Despite the fact I reckon they could easily sell them at a larger cost as a big booster pack called 'Enemy Mine...' to keep the cost down, don't include any additions of temp powers or emotes or anything as amazing as the Science booster pack (bodyshape changing) and just have it as purely costume pieces.
As a robot, I call BS on that.
DECENT Robot parts are inceredibly hard to make. The choice of boots outside of monstrous tech legs is appalingly low. all the old boots look horrible, with club feet. Really, really ugly.

The new clockwork actually look robotic, though. The chest has decent gaps, wiring and cables. The arms look robotic. ALL of it looks robotic.
I know I'm getting me a new chassis, Praetorian style, when this comes out!
That and show whoever built 'em just who is the technological mastermind around here.
  12. T is actually bound to vanish and re-spawn the targeting window in the top right corner.

I'm not saying 'Totally make sprint end free', anyway. To the level of combat jumping sounds fine.
But NOT more than a freaking shield power.

So, it takes someone MORE endurance just to run around faster than it does to block melee attacks?
If you have no legs, maybe...
Combat jumping increase jump height, sprint increases run speed. Hell, Combat Jumping even gives you Immob resistance and a +def bonus, so its BETTER and it costs LESS.

Someone explain the logic of that to me.
  13. Sounds good.
GR and beyond just seems to look brighter and brighter.
  14. I shouldn't have included the AFK example.

    Zero debt isn't the problem.
Not being able to get to the trainer due to swarms of people/AoE attacks/stupidly high lag is the problem.

And its not reasonable to say 'Just go to another zone'. Trainers are meant to be used for training. If people dont want to take part in the invasions, this is disrupting how they play the game, and enforcing things on them that shouldnt be.
Conceptually as well, it makes no sense for the trainers to be DANGEROUS areas.

The one that always hacked me off was the Arbiter in Nerva. No Arachnos Drones. And Longbow spawns, often with Bosses, appear RIGHT next to him.
  15. Amen.

Nemesis kit. Column kit. SWAT kit. There are work arounds, but there shouldn't have to be.
And PLEASE DEAR LORD ON A STICK, do something about the Vanguard costume. Reduce the costs, bundle it into one unlockable that costs 100, make merits earnable at lvl 1...anything other than the fail we have right now.

And I might just forgive Jay for his past sins with some of the GR kit. It does look good...

Pretty much the entirety of the RP community disagree with you.
That and anyone who wants to do the cool 'Im walking through fire/storms/hail/swathes of gunfire' look.

There is even a [Walk] power in game. They just haven't figured out how to make it look different on big and small models yet.

You watch the civilians. Occasionally you get a midget one, who walks at the same speed, but glides a bit.
Personally? Glide be damned, Id love to have it...
  18. So /signed
And the City Information terminals. Make them DO something, hmm?
And Security Chiefs...not just their horrible 'You need to do a hunt!' mission.
Hell, make a few small TFs that the Security Chiefs give you, maybe focussing more on groups like the Skulls, Hellions and suchnot, something interesting.

And maybe add Redside versions. Arachnos are, after all, the law enforcers too. Their just a bit more tyranical with it.

OT. Dual Pistols. Is. BEAUTIFUL! Awesome does not do it justice.
I need to go have a lie down...
  23. 0.29end/sec

    I'm sorry, what?
A basic shield on a melee character costs 0.24end/sec unslotted, for a lot more benefit.
Given this is one of those powers that you shouldn't have to turn off often, this is pretty rediculous, especially at low levels when end usage is high and the run speed is appalingly low.

Brawl and the inherent mini-attack got fixed. Time for the last piece of the bare essentials, maybe?
