(when activated, fully heals, fully refills en, increases all power effects and breaks any holds on you at the same time.)
[/ QUOTE ]Er.... Domination doesn't heal you.
It gives a second effect to all your mez powers of them at the same mag for 1.5x normal duration (which leads to 1.5x duration, with the first normal duration-span at double-mag), 75% damage buff (which is getting nixed post-I15 in favor of a higher base damage scalar for the AT itself that puts them at perma-dom damage levels without needing perma-dom), a Break-free effect, and a full end bar. -

Stalkers seem to work best on the strike, run and hide, strike tactics. It might seem strange on a team, but this really does work well. Assassin strike, take a couple of strikes, then run around the corner to get hide back, and return - repeat. Their Crit Inherent only works when they are hidden, and the Assassin Strike does best when hidden, so really - this tactic makes a lot sense.
[/ QUOTE ]Er, no, it doesn't, and in fact, never was only while hidden.
Pre-buffs, Stalkers had a 20% chance to crit out of hide against a held, slept, or stunned target. Post-buffs they now have a 15% chance to crit outside of hide, that increases with the number of teammates near you (I think 15 feet?) -

It is a Teen game. Personally i think kids should not even touch that game. It is not for them. Simple as that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well it is up to the parent to decide, that is the reason for the rating system. The only thing I really see that could warrant this as 'teen' is the online experience with other players. The gameplay is certainly E10+.
[/ QUOTE ]
It says right on the box "Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to play"
[/ QUOTE ]No, it doesn't. Try actually looking at something before saying what it says. -

Well after finally getting to make a VEAT, I would add Mez protection to the list. After all, there is nothing special (i.e. changing forms) a VEAT has to do. They get mez protection. Switching to Dwarf is cool, but I have a human only PB. Nope... After seeing my Spider in action, I will have to say mez protection is a must to balance the AT with it's villain counterpart...
Cheers...
[/ QUOTE ]I point to my suggestion, up-thread, about how to balance Kheldian Mez Protection in human-form with the need to "provide a reason for Dwarf Form" as had been stated by Castle in the thread about the major Kheld changes. -

Stealth / Invis negates an MM's Supremacy.
I think for awhile in beta it did, but it does bot now.
[/ QUOTE ]The pool power Invisibility does negate Supremacy, as does any "Only Affecting Self" power. -

The only quote I could find said

these powers' damage cannot be enhanced by any means--buffs, Build-Up, Inspirations, Fury, etc.

no mention of recharge buffs...
and wikia does not seem to mention anything about that because it is no longer updated
[/ QUOTE ]Fixed.
ParagonWiki left wikia because of their (rather boneheaded, IMO) advertising rules. Including adverts for multiple other MMOs on the wikia. -
New item to add to the list in the wake of Flight's buffs in I14.
Kheldian flights (Energy Flight and Combat Flight) are now slower than pool powers Fly and Hover. -

TweakCoH. Yes, you can do it without the program, but it's easier. And lets you alter settings without loading the game if you're having issues with the game not loading due to a setting. -

Hurricane needs absolutely no buffing, and is possibly even borderline OP.
Repel, KB, -ToHit, and even more importantly, -Range (formerly the only source of it). -

Also, Taunt (including the Taunt from punchvoking things) generates so much Threat, that your Threat Level is only really relevant if there's someone else Taunting the enemies. If you're the only one doing it, the Taunts will still hold aggro regardless.
[/ QUOTE ]
Mostly true, but not quite - about a week ago I pulled aggro off of a (level 50) Fire/? Tanker who was running Blazing Aura with my (sk'd to 49) Fire/Fire blaster. I waited for several seconds so that they were all grouped (hey, it made sense; I'm throwing 4 AoEs in a row), so it wasn't an issue of the mobs just not having aggro set before I hit them.
If you're doing significantly more damage than the Tanker, you'll still get the mobs' attention.
[/ QUOTE ]You say that like a fire/fire blaster is even capable of not pulling agro off even an Ice Armor tank that took taunt. -

The only problem vis-a-vis virii and MMOs that I have found so far was the patch downloader for one specific BIG name MMO. It seemed that each time a patch was necessary, my main box would end up with some new (and usually the same) critters malwaring around. BUT that was because the patching was being done outside of the game engine, and I have never had anything attach itself to my PC because of CoX. And I run with only the router firewall enabled (no Windows or 3rd party firewalls).
[/ QUOTE ]If you mean the one I think you mean (the 800-pound gorilla, if you will), I know exactly what you mean. I installed the trial for that one, and because of the way the patching process works, it completely baked my computer. Corrupted a couple Windows files, and I had to reinstall my computer from scratch.
CoX? No problems whatsoever. -

I've run a vigilante or two. Another rule you might want to follow, Vigilantes don't work with goody two shoes, so avoid doing any TFs for the signature heroes.
[/ QUOTE ]You can, however, do an Ernesto Hess, Lady Grey, et al. -

A surprising number of my contacts redside, I would rather kill than work for. And the game won't let me. I can't even double-cross them.
[/ QUOTE ]
A nice twist the developers should keep in mind as they design more PvE missions would be the chance to double-cross/disappoint a contact (perhaps for the last mission in an arc?). Options on how to resolve the mission, that sort of thing...even deliberate fails (letting a kidnap target go, that sort of thing).
[/ QUOTE ]Westin Phipps (a.k.a. Puppy-kicker McEvil) has that in two of his arcs. You can intentionally fail the last mission and get a different souvenir. -
[ QUOTE ]
The best blaster for an illusion controller would be one that would increase the controller's ability to get "containment". An illusion controller has one single target hold and one long-recharge PBAOE hold. The radiation secondary eventually ( at lv 28 ) also gives a group hold.
[/ QUOTE ]Fixed. Choking Cloud is made of win. -

I agree people will do what people will do. But please if they do put in an AE don't put it in starting zones.
I've already migrated a couple of toons over to Virtue and pulled out of the dust a bin 1 on Champion. Just because Atlas on Freedom is so bad (Well Freedom is getting bad period, well ok Freedom was always bad I just put up with it.)
Its just that I really want Rogue to work but fear that human nature + AE will make the whole thing blah.
[/ QUOTE ]You do realize you don't have to start in Atlas, right? -
Okay, to add to the pics of nerds, I unfortunately have none with my hair long, but I do have a few pictures of me.

todays 1 and 1/2 hour was uber fun, especially the parts:
[paraphrase] "WTH?! The AVs are here, but we're still fighting the computer, wait!"
and my already favorite:
[exact question] "Wait, who takes the healer nictus?"
[exact response] "Bah. Ignore it. dogpile romy!"
Roar!
[/ QUOTE ]Were you running with Smurphy?
Because those are the exact things that happen on a Smurphy ITF, except it's more "Oh, hey computer's down!" *team teleport* "Hi there, Rommie and Requiem!" -
[ QUOTE ]
Then again, if I'm in a TF fighting an AV and someone's standing next to me spamming Healing Aura, I will probably be exceedingly grateful.
[/ QUOTE ]I'd be more satisfied if they were using their controls and/or blasts to help damage the AV and make the battle go faster, and using the heal in a more targeted manner, when it's needed. :P -
It's called a reroll.
Further explanation: Devs have already said it won't ever happen. And just because you know how to work an Illusion controller doesn't mean you can work a Fire or Earth controller. -

just watch for the icon to start blinking. That means you have 30 seconds remaining on the buff. That's when I reapply buffs. On all my characters that do that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not quite that easy on a level 50 team, with multiple melee characters. THe buff icons literally stretch across the screen.
[/ QUOTE ]"Hide Autopowers". I play on a 15-inch laptop and they don't even get halfway across the screen when I do that. -

No, it is autohit. Watch your combat log. You were just in enough resistance that you didn't notice.

penal code typically doesn't include punishment by savage beating on the street.
[/ QUOTE ]I know it wouldn't be a good idea, but something in me can't help but wonder if perhaps that being a potential punishment for some crimes would in fact be a better deterrent? -
When CO comes out? I'm not jumping ship.
I just don't trust their dev team, I dislike that the only things we *ever* hear about it is "Well, CoX doesn't have ____, which we do, so we're better, neener-neener!".
As for why to keep the fee where it is, 5/month less may not seem like much from your end, but from NC's end, they'd lose (using 125k as a rough estimate of users, which is lowballing it) $625,000/month in profit. That would be the money used to hire all these new programmers, as well as invested into the game to upgrade systems.
Instead of suggesting a price cut in a game that has found 15/month a good, stable purchase point with a comfortable, but not excessive, profit margin, perhaps you could cut back on the alcohol purchasing (that will add up, especially if you mean heading to bars). When you buy new games, trade in old games you never play any more, instead of buying them outright (since you very likely have a nearby GameStop or other game store that will take trade-ins).
I've bought plenty of new games, despite not spending a cent on them, with clever use of trade-in deals and trading in games I've beaten or grown bored with. It's how I maintain a good flow of fun games in addition to CoH. And I'm doing this stretching 400-600/month right now while I seek out a second part-time and/or full-time job. -

Havoc_X, I will not say what I was about to post because it would be mod-smacked nearly as hard as your prior post. I typed it out, and realized the only way I could be remotely level-headed about this would be to not even reply directly to you, let alone quote you, but to QR this thread.
You do realize that the people on these fora come from all walks of life. We have different jobs, our families have different jobs.
My uncle, my cousin's husband, and my father's college roommate are all cops (or retired cops). One of them was a Baltimore cop, where he had to deal with gang violence and gang-members who would shoot him not out of any personal vendetta, but for the sole reasons that he's a) white, and b) a cop.
One works in Buffalo, another city where you have to deal with gangs now. The third worked Syracuse, a city that has, very unfortunately, a lot of random violence.
Now, that's not to say every single cop ever is an upstanding example of humanity that would never abuse their power. I'm realistic, I know that some people do become police officers to abuse the power. But that goes for any job where one has power. Doctors, lawyers, judges, politicians, military, management, IT, security, education, you name a job, I can guarantee there's been someone who abused the position for their own personal gain. But when you paint everyone with such a broad brush, you're going to needlessly offend someone, not to mention be absolutely wrong most of the time.
