  1. Oh, DR.

You're just going to MAKE me get more memory so I can see i19 in all its true glory, aren't you? That underwater shot was beautiful!

Thank god for Cybermonday, or whatever the heck they're calling it.

I continue to love your stuff, and will follow whatever you do in the future to be sure!

*puts money down on hearing the shrieks from DR's section of the country come i20 open beta, followed by weeping and the sounds of an awesome trailer maker reaching for her gear one. more. time*

I want to be able to do some damage but also want to be able to buff heal and of course debuff and the set seems flashy enough.
Rad/sonic seems up your alley. It's one big buff/debuffing machine, and the damage output is amazing when you get going due to all the debuffs stacking. I've watched AVs and GMs get flailed against only to melt when my husband pulls out his rad/sonic.

I need to play my own more seriously soon. It's a beast of a combo.
  3. Here's a question -
I have a 50 MM that I brought hero-side. Have never respecced her so she still has the Vill APPs.

If I respec her, she'll lose access to the Vill APP, that I know. But what if I respec in build 2? I *can* just leave her original build the way it is, correct?

Asking because I rarely respec characters as it is already.
  4. If I don't get it right the first time, it usually never makes it to Outbreak.

I subscribe to the 'iconic costume' philosophy: the costume you see on the character is going to be the costume that's always seen in any comic book he/she appears in. Heck, I rarely use the other costume slots because of this.

I have never straightup changed a costume except for once; the most I usually do is minor tweakage (iMaid, frex, got the Cyborg shoulderpads once they came out, and they really made the character).
  5. I'm on my DD now (L29) and I don't *see* any difference...

Oh, HEY, guys! Come on in!

Golden Girl? I'd like you to meet the Legionnaires.
    Legionnaires, Golden Girl.
They're rather interested in that whole thing you said about proper heroes and capes...

...I'll leave you to your private conversation.

(some of them wore them, but not ALL. Same for my characters....)

(And then my husband screams "Don't forget the Avengers!" from the front room)
  7. I spend $10 for *breakfast* some days at work, when I really shouldn't.

Yeah, I'll be getting this in a heartbeat. Just the auras alone will give me endless play value. I've been looking for that atomic aura all my days.
Not so much a cape person anymore, but I can tweak a few of my character costumes....
  8. Great show. Am wondering where it'll go from there storywise.

In other news, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch has now directed the face of cosplay this spring/summer. She did it once with the Jackie O homage, and now this. Was not expecting that.

Sis - boom - bah, folks.
  9. There is a reason I'm sitting on Jailbait and Anasazi, so yes.

  11. "What level are you again? Because I've just got this hammer..."

I feel like I was right where Kurtz was last week in my group's Legend of the Five Rings game. Could have killed for a naginata, or *something*.
  12. Restarted again, found her. Thanks!
  13. Quite familiar with the Chantry - found the door, popped in, nothing but the imp mobs in the main room. Does she ever appear outside, or is this a bug?
  14. Nope, not the only one having this issue, no....
  15. I loved that mission. My character was flat-out Resistance (Warden) before that, and then with this one, she went Loyalist (Responsibility) for a brief time - because she just could *not* stomach the idea of letting someone bomb a hospital.

She didn't do it out of a brief sense of loyalty to Cole or what Washington stood for - she did it because it was, regrettably, the right thing to do.

The Phrontistery is *awesome*. That's where I've gotten the majority of my weird names.

But usually no, I don't make characters without having names first and costumes second.
  17. Siphon speed only good for running around...oh boy. I have to be fair. When I was a very new player, before actually sitting and reading the defender/controller forums way back in the day, that's what *I* thought it did, and I hadn't chosen it ever.

Then a friend suggested taking it and explained WHY I should. Running is not ALL it does.
Have never gone without it since, and I've been an avid forumreader ever since.

(man, if only Kinetic Melee had that, I'd be one happy camper.)
  18. Wait, there's *no* DO stores in the Praetorian zones at all?

    BLEAH.
  19. *shakes her fist in raaaage at that accursed moat*

I was shocked that I was smart enough to actually keep those emails. So unlike me... :P
I wasn't away from the game, but Aion farmers sussed out my master password and set themselves up with a month of Aion after I'd cancelled about 3-4 months before.

I don't think they expected me to actually *look* at the "Thank you for reactivating Aion!" email.

Had to do what was mentioned above - thank god I had my old emails - and support was very nice and professional about it. They reset my passwords, then offered to stick a ban on my Aion acct that can only be lifted if I call in with all my info again and request it be unlocked. Which I was very happy to go with.
  21. If you don't have eight good friends who know what they're playing....

    Eight defenders/corruptors.

Currently on two static teams of 5 each (sentai of defenders heroside nearing 46, and a sentai corrupter team just started Praet-side) and the level of output is absolutely ridiculous. We're expecting the corrs to be just a *tad* more ridic due to Scourge as we level up.
  22. Send it to your global, with the @ symbol.

    @alexandria2000, frex.

It's been working for me no problem...Are you seeing the money disappear, or not?
  23. My major rule is that any characters I make will leave character creation in the costume that will be their costume for all of their career. For me, Supes going back to the old togs after the (imho) travesty that was Superman Red and Blue....yeah. Why change what works? It's iconic! They will always be instantly recognizable for who they are if someone glanced at them in a comic book. Now, the costume can be *tweaked* as better costume elements than the ones I have are unlocked (Capes, Vanguard gear...) or get dropped upon us by SexyJay and Pals, but for the most part it'll never change.

Of course, this means I can spend HOURS costume designing before I hit Outbreak. And then quite quickly say "Nope, ain't working" and start over again when I see them in actual gamelight. (And no, sometimes the light adjuster in the creator just doesn't seem right and I miss stuff. That SUCKS.)

Except for street clothes in slot 2 (when I actually remember to give them some), I just don't use the other costume slots at ALL. I practically forget they're there. (Radical Girl, my first character ever, is the exception to the rule - I went nuts costuming with her)

Even if I never actually add the background? Be assured, they have a background filed away in my head, and I could tell it to you if asked. Also, all my characters are connected to my husband's characters in some way, being friends, lovers, or mortal enemies.

    You, me, same page.

Never got to play around with KM/Shield in Beta - how do the animations work together? Husband has said it doesn't look as good as I'd want it to, and advised KM/Will instead.
