This new trailer for part 1 looks nice, and the movie looks to go by the book. I am looking forward to seeing this one.

Sweet. Looks like they're going all out for these last two.

I kinda feel bad for the characters, though, cuz I know how much of a kick to the balls this will be for them most of the time. The last one was pretty dreary.

And we're going to have to wait til like July for the awesome of the end battle! Gah!

Eh, another "setup" movie like the last one. After he beats the main bad guy -eight movies in-, can he please move on to something else?

Is there only one bad guy in all of the H/Potter magic world, lol.

After he beats the bad guy in the last installment, that will be all there is to tell. She's not returning to the stories, as far as I know. She's just as tired of this as some of you guys are.

Personally I can't wait to see how this all looks. Grim, big battles. Wonder if they will put the fanservice epilogue at the end?

Yeah, Voldemort is supposed to be the baddest of the bad, but it's not like there aren't other bad guys; they're just his lieutenants and minions and such.

I just hope they spruce up the final duel between Harry and Voldemort. >.>

But basicly anyone else is only truely dangerous because they are aligned to voldemort. They have shown in the books trials and so forth that have delt with voldemorts followers that were hunted down after his previous rise to power.

And i loved the duel between H and V in the book, i would like to see it word for word in the movie. It wasnt the final strike IMO that made the end of the book it was the interaction between the two before the final strike.

It wasn't really a duel at all, though. But overall Rowling didn't go into much detail when it came to the wizard duels anyway. I prefer to see them fleshed out a bit in the movies.

Never mind the Harry/Voldemort duel, I am TOTALLY hoping for the Bellatrix/Molly slugfest. And if it's in there, and done right, I predict the applause will go off like a bomb in the theatre when it's over.

From what I can see, this is shaping up to be amazing. But if there is a God, and He is listening to me, please get John Williams back to do the second half of the last film? Please?

Yeah, I know. When I finished the last book I was like, to hell with Harry and Voldermort's duel. I wanna see Mama Weasley go off on Bellatrix.

There are a few scenes i think that need to be done just almost as is to the book. The molly scene for sure, but also the scene with Neville prior to that when he stands up and grows a set and kills the snake.

Also i think the scene in Ravenclaw where Harry and Luna are under the cloak and the carrows come in and hit McGonocal(SP?) the way its written when harry uncloaks and the proffessor is stuned and amazed to see him I could just see the actress portraying that when i was reading it. And then her speach to slughorn about Silthern having to finally make a decision about where they stand....

The last book was i think more then any other written with the actors and actresses and their sublties in mind when writing.

The books have never really gone to far into the idea of a wizarding duel for fighting accept for the spells. The movies expanded more on it i think with the use of kinda stunning spells in combination with defense and other things like expeleriamus and such. However I really dont want to see harry and voldemort going at it like they did at the end of OotP with dumbledore. Harry shouldnt be a match for voldemort in that way. What harry has going for him should be the plans set in motion by dumbledore that brings to a head the final confrontation where it all comes down to one spell. And the back and forth at the end of the book between dumbledore and harry and later harry and V. sets that final one strike in motion IMO perfectly. Its more of a circling and taunting and trying to bring a situation to a head more then an outright duel.

It's a small thing and it happened mostly off page, but Neville apparently had grown a set during the entire year at Hogwarts including repeated torture sessions with the Carrows, who weren't allowed to outright kill misbehaving students. The scene with the sorting hat and Nagini was kind of his crowning achievement on top of a lot of ballsy things he did that semester.

You know, I really don't understand this "growing a pair" nonsense. Neville was quite active before that, and was part of the incursion into the Ministry of magic where he acquitted himself quite well until he got it in the chops and couldn't pronounce spells anymore. The only difference was in taking a leadership roll. I would never say his courage was really in question.
