The proc holds drop on the minions quite regularly too if you stack your slows (Times Juncture plus Distorion Field).

Hmm for the slots I think you'd have to reaquire them (you should have been given some points for them) and maybe exalted was full up (the activity indicator is faulty atm). It could be a coincidence.
