I know, I have two cats. Doesn't mean it doesn't LOOK painful.

I don't think of inspirations the way you present them here. I don't think many people do (if anyone). Most people think of them as getting inspired...you know, like a eureka moment?
It's an interesting concept. Not one that I'll be telling the newbies I meet about, but interesting nonetheless.
Need to work on timing (I don't need 15 seconds to read "Restores 1/4 health", another 15 seconds to read "Restores 1/3 health", and ANOTHER 15 seconds to read "Restores 1/2 health"), but otherwise looks good! -
How was the issue resolved? (We in Tech Issues and Player Questions like to know how things get resolved, so that we can tell people in the future if they seem to be having similar problems.)

Or Arbiter Sawyer in Port Oakes villainside.

Correct. It's called binding.

If you've got a crapton of prestige laying around, which will suffice for rent and upgrades for at least a year, if not many years...why do you care about generating prestige? All you're doing is making the hoard bigger, and anyone worthwhile isn't going to care about the list of SGs at the registrar.
Personally, I haven't looked at it in years. I don't even really remember if it's two years or three years since I've looked at it. Almost everyone I know doesn't look at it either.
Seriously, stop caring that much. Are you generating enough prestige to pay rent and afford upgrades? Then you're doing JUST FINE and shouldn't put so much emphasis on prestige earners. -
Copy and paste tCohUpdater.exe to your desktop. (Make a new copy of it, don't just make a shortcut.)
Run the updater from your desktop and tell it to install into your installation folder.
The reason it's having trouble is it is trying to write over itself while it is running, and obviously, it can't do that, so it throws up errors. -

Reduce the time between costume changes to once every 10, 15, or even 20 seconds.
[/ QUOTE ]The costume change emotes allowed people to change their costumes every 15 seconds due to a bug. The devs ruled this a performance issue and changed them to match the 30 second regular costume change restrictions. I doubt they'll go back to 15, LET ALONE 10, but 20 might be doable. -
Well, not everybody (I haven't), but it is pretty widespread.

Yeah, so what's stopping the OP from using broadsword? He's supposed to be a pirate with a sword, if he wants to be believable, he'll grab BS.
That was the point of the link and link-quote. -

There hasn't been an official announcement of one yet - we can speculate, but it's just that - speculation. Smart money says there'll be one sometime in the summer.

I agree on this, but sure I have seen a list of events for the year and it was stated there, for it to take place! But can't remember where to find the list...
[/ QUOTE ]They have not given us a list of this year's events yet. -
Visa cards all have a 16 digit number, no matter what country they're from. As long as they are a *VISA* card gift card (and not a generic gift card), you should be fine.
My ex used his Visa card to pay for our account while I was living in Toronto. -

And 5 Seconds at 400% recharge drops a 25 second recharge power (KO Blow) down to a what recharge? 2, 3 seconds? I know a 48% recharge drops the recharge on KO Blow from 25 down to 16.89....
[/ QUOTE ] 1/5 of 25 seconds is 5 seconds, btw. The more recharge you have, the less each extra percentage point gives.
RechargeTime = BaseRechargeTime / ( 1 + Enhancement )

Keep in mind that there is a recharge cap of +400%, or 1/5 the time. (A 100s recharge, f'rex, cannot go below 20s.)
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe Rachel and I both already addressed this. You know, 5 posts back.
[/ QUOTE ]And I was pointing out that Rachel was still not grasping what it means. KO Blow's 25 second recharge would not recharge in 2 or 3 seconds, because the cap of +rech means a minimum of 1/5 the time...or five seconds. -

Ultimate Game Cards don't work. However, any NCsoft time card works, including time cards for non-CoH games (Lineage II, etc) that are $15/mo fee. There is also the $20 Game Card, which can be used like time cards, but is different from the time cards in that it comes with 30 days of jetpack flight, and can be used to start a/upgrade to a retail account (and can be used repeatedly, unlike other retail account codes).
You can also use credit card gift cards (works sorta like a debit card, except no bank account) or paypal. -
You don't sink to the bottom, IIRC you have full 3D movement just like flying. But yes, when you press the spacebar, you jump up instead of swim up. But no, you can sustain the float.

CO lets you have your travel at 5. And they're all really -weird-. Teleporting basically phase-shifts you and then gives you super-speed for it's duration... Really weird.
How about setting up the initial powers of the travel pool as a first level option? You can choose -not- to have a power from your secondary at level 1 to instead have a travel power?
Sure, Tankers and Defenders would be a -lot- harder to solo without a starting attack outside of brawl... But I think it'd be neat?

[/ QUOTE ]I don't care about what that -other- game has. I think that -other magical game- has bird you can fly on or something, does that mean we should get some birds and stuff? How about we all the game City of Other Game? Plus that -other game- is crap.
[/ QUOTE ]Just wanna point out that Rachel was talking about Champions Online, which lets you choose almost-uncontrollable travel powers at level 5 (which warns you that you can not choose another, so you're stuck with it??), and not World of Warcraft, which lets you choose sprint-speed travel powers at level 30 (that you usually have to spend gold on, both training and the mount itself), with possible (again, purchased) upgrades at higher levels. -
Considering they *JUST* opened up the option of choosing a travel power at level 6 without having to choose a pre-requisite (60mo vet badge), this will *NOT* happen for a VERY long time, if at ALL.

Log in a level 50 hero. Sometimes the game "forgets" the flag.

Disabling collision detection on Seeker Drones would break their ability to asplode on the enemy, or so I recall being the reason given however-long-ago this first came 'round.

In fact, that *other* game (since we are being coy) has NOT been around for as long as COX. COX, or to be more precise, COH made its debut in April of 2004. That *other* game went live in November of 2004. COX has a good six to seven months on that *other* game.

I used to be signed up for newsletters, and I never opted out of them, but when I went to look at my contact info, it was unchecked, which would be why I haven't received any newsletters or promos, etc., in a very long time. I can't even remember the last one I received.
